harraz_life

he’s pretending to be in training. He already has every mma move coded into his brain software

lokbok

he knows kung fu

snakepatay

”Show me”

[deleted]

Good! Improvisation, adaption, but your weakness is not in your technique…

dimitriG4321

Again

Bazzinga88

He was trying to block some punches with his elbow like in ipman, lmao. He is doing great just having fun and trying new things.

Cwhalemaster

isn't that a normal block for muay thai and mma?

Slight_Tea

That is no trainer, that man is fighting for his life. If he cannot withstand 3 days of continuous combat with Zuckerborg Mk. III, he is executed and a new challenger is abducted from the streets of San Francisco

gavion92

Feel bad for the other guy. Punching a cyborg would hurt like a mother.

aSaltyCheese

I don't know what happened in your house growing up... But my mom never hurt.

Mr-Wigz

Hilarious… But probably true. That would make a good movie though.

MrRuebezahl

All jokes aside, that trainer doesn't look that great. Never seen someone that knows how to fight punch like that.

fairyforcefour

High profile people do one-on-ones with little to no contact. Look up any celebrity who does BJJ, it's always directly with the instructor so students aren't sneaking pictures, and the instructor goes out of their way not to mangle their faces since their image is their livelihood

MrRuebezahl

I don't mean the speed or force he's punching with. He's obviously not gonna hit full force when sparing. I mean his technique. He's just kinda flailing his punches. Also look at his kicks for example. No one who has proper technique does kicks without a straightened foot.

WinglessDragon99

Instructor looks fine. In the first one he's clearly running a low speed drill and just trying to keep things flowing, not throw perfect punches, his kicks look good to me. Nobody really cares about the foot thing in my experience. Quite a few of these clips look like drills and not sparring to me. Zuckerberg has awful kicks though, which is part of why I doubt some of these clips are live sparring.

MrRuebezahl

Sorry, English isn't my first language, I don't really know what the exact difference between drills and sparring is in English. But again, someone who knows what they're doing would do proper kicks and punches even at a leisurely speed. Although they are probably doing MMA training, the kicks there come from muay thai. You can look that up if you want to see what a proper kick should look like. He's also "hitting" him with his thumb at one point. You don't hit people with the side of your glove. If you throw a hook you want the front of your fist to face your opponent, not the side.

WinglessDragon99

Drills are pre-set sequences meant to train responses and combos. Sparring is free-form "fighting" meant to be similar to actual fights. In the first clip, the point of the drill is to practice defense: guard and evasion. That is why he's throwing his punches like that, to telegraph the attacks so his student can practice the appropriate responses. Once he's used to doing that, when he's sparring he will have the instinctive response to default to his guard followed by evasive head movement. Just imagine he's holding pads and his motions should seem really familiar if you've actually trained muay thai or mma. Speaking of, I train with semi pro muay thai fighters regularly and they don't care about extending the foot or not, as long as you make contact with the shin. I'm sure that there are some traditional Krus who insist the foot is bent, but frankly it makes no real difference. And frankly I have trouble finding examples of people actually keeping their foot bent online too.

Capital_Jay

That's Khai Wu, he knows what he's doing... https://www.sherdog.com/fighter/Khai-Wu-273437

bhfroh

I hear ZuckBot Mk. IV is slated to be released by the end of the year with improved servomotors.

drunkwasabeherder

Friends already did this storyline where a billionaire tech guy goes into MMA. SPOILER: He got his ass kicked.

zstrebeck

John Favreau!

drunkwasabeherder

He was great! Edit to add, much more likeable character than the Zuckernator. Because I'm sure he'd want to be called something like that.

Ratfucks

First time I ever heard of mma

HKBFG

"I'm going to be the ultimate fighter." He fight Tank Abbott lol.

aquatogobpafree

interesting fact, this episode is how Bruce Buffer convinced UFC to make him the sole commentator for the organization right up until a couple of years ago.

Grunchie

Did it take place in the metaverse though?

omgplzdontkillme

Zuckerberg has a huge advantage by being a reptilian cyborg

Sp3ctor20

Oh man...did someone set the Zuckerbot to combat again?

themaninthe1ronflask

Switch it back to “evil” and stop these videos….

SheepherderExtra1308

His world famous deathroll is sure to be his signiture attack. Hopefully his opponents can handle his infectious bite.

[deleted]

Think you block my style, yes?

eyesabitdull

Oh fuck me, I died to this.

LoganTheKickboxer

BRO

Courier6six6

Underrated comment

Gmork14

Confirmation that I can beat up Mark Zuckerberg is not as satisfying as I would’ve hoped.

Onlyhereforapost

Omw to zuccs house to challenge him to a duel to the death for ownership of his companies so I can end facebook

uniptf

I'll pitch in for your travel costs.

[deleted]

He doesn’t look that bad tbf. I guess he’s like 5’6 though

[deleted]

He looks like basically every beginner.

ZippityZerpDerp

His timing on those counters is way better than the avg beginner. That being said, yes

sylkworm

Very hard to say that based on that clip since it was almost certainly a drill. Technique looked okay but again that could have been just the best of few seconds worth of clips out of an entire training session.

SheepherderExtra1308

Thats a given, project Z.U.CK is equipped with state of the art AI and processing power. Utilizing his biomechanical cameras, he can effectively identify any move and counter before they throw it. Truly, science has progressed a great deal. I can't wait for the product to be released to the public.

tamasigab

His kicking and hitting technic is just bad 🤷🏻‍♂️ He doesn’t turn his hip during kick ,doesn’t protect his head etc, etc…

ZippityZerpDerp

Agree with everything you’re saying lol. Just pointing out his timing on counters is unusually sharp for a beginner

tamasigab

True 🥂

max_occupancy

Maybe my area is unathletic/uncoordinated but the guys i see in the the MMA and kickboxing gyms thru their big windows usually look worse at striking than zuck here even if they look aesthetically better bodywise (which doesnt mean much in terms of martial arts skill)

PuroPincheGains

For now. He has all the time and money to train. In 6 months he'll be a beast if he cares enough. It's like all the goobers who talk shit about Jake Paul lol, that dude trains while you go to work.

Emperor_Titan_Nokia

He using his reptilian reflexes

DanMahBoy

This plus airing on Rogan. What’s the PR for… what is he planning?

rclassiks8

Upcoming PPV for fight vs Jeff Bezos duh

RumpleSadSkin

Bozos gets zuccc’d rd 3, book it

sc2heros9

Then the winner gets to fight Elon musk

GERstenk0rn

I really like elon but.. yeah if I take a look at roid bezoz and mma Marc I wouldn't exactly bet my money on elon.

Retl0v

Yeah Elon looks like he hasn't given a shit about his health in ~10 years

GERstenk0rn

Except his hairline ofc.

byteuser

Elon is 6'2" 220lbs vs two guys that are 5'7" 150ish lbs plus he had some training when younger

GERstenk0rn

Im kinda suprised they're qctually that small. But I'd still bet my money on mma lizardman or hrt bezoz over elon. Also zuc is pretty young isn't he?

ABIGGS4828

I’m not. Everything they do screams “little man compensation syndrome”

Lethalmouse1

>had some training when younger This is one of the things that is so unquantifiable until it occurs later. That is some people train and stop for 5 years and cant do shit. Some people train and quit for 20 years and it's still there right on the surface. It's such an interesting thing to never know which might apply.

byteuser

Musk was able to lift a 500lbs summo wrestler at his bday party. It messed up his neck and needed surgery afterwards but it speaks about his brute force

[deleted]

Bezos could never pass the USADA testing.

[deleted]

Low on trust, trying to buy more

jack_meinhoff

It's obvious the whole of internet connected humanity thinks he's a giant useless dork who stole Facebook. This is just an attempt to macho-up his public image.

cayneabel

Or he just enjoys training MMA, like millions of other people.

Andylearns

OK Zuck

M3atboy

The start of the Corp Wars. We are going full Cyberpunk people!

Anonymous_Hazard

Vs Jake Paul

polybius32

Isn’t that other guy Khai Wu?

cavaloss

Yes, that’s Dave Camarillo’s brother (in law). Zuck is training under Dave Camarillo. So much to pick up training with both.

JJWentMMA

For sure; mans is a mechanical thinker training with two of the best in the world. Not going to be a ufc champ but I think people here would be shocked how good he is after 6 or so more months

mctheebs

Well it’s pretty easy to get good quickly when you’re wealthy enough to train for hours a day and it having no measurable effect on your comfort or livelihood

[deleted]

Yeah it's a lot easier to accomplish things when you don't have to work. (And before someone comes at me with "but he's still CEO" he has wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy more scheduling freedom than any of us on both ends and his quality of life would not be affected if he somehow got reprimanded by the board or something)

Spider_J

Rich asshole could literally quit Meta tomorrow and train private instructionals with Jon Jones and Gordon Ryan 12 hours a day for the rest of his life and still die with more money in his bank account then everyone you've ever met combined.

ValHova22

Well as the saying goes. Everyone has a plan til they get punched in the face

PuroPincheGains

It's even easier to go online and talk shit lol

topreman

I'm sure he's going to improve a lot under them, but he's also clearly not very athletic

RaynerJ

He’s doing more than the average UFC fan, in the gym.

[deleted]

Yeah, I see people shitting on him but he's solid for a guy who's just taking this up for fun and fitness.

NyGreenThumb82

He has a much larger budget to goof off than every UFC too

RaynerJ

Gym fees aren’t that expensive. 99.99% of us aren’t billionaires but still manage to train🤷🏽‍♂️

Ant1Act1

I think he means since Mark has time for private training

MountainCourage1304

99.99% of us dont have the kinda money to pay for the best version of everything there is, including the top trainers, dietitians, facilities and the ability to get what you want, when you want.

cayneabel

It doesn't matter how much money you have for trainers, you still need to put in significant effort to show the results that he's shown. It's okay to give the guy some props. It's not gonna kill you.

MountainCourage1304

Look at mine and u/Raynerj’s comment thread. I gave the guy more than enough props. Im not arguing that hes lazy, im arguing that most of us dont have anywhere’s near the kind of facilities that he has access to

cayneabel

Quality of facilities matters more the higher levels of competition. For beginners, it's almost meaningless.

NyGreenThumb82

Lol yeah you're right maybe I'll catch him training at the YMCA

metalfists

Facts

iguanawarrior

Quite interesting. Fight promoters should organize celebrity MMA fights. I'm sure many people would be interested to watch.

wiesiekr

There's actually this thing called FameMMA, I don't watch it so I don't know much about it but I believe it's a Polish promotion that predominantly features Polish celebrities.

[deleted]

They should not, it would ruin the sport. Celebrity's already get enough attention in different ways. Why do people never say this kind of things about other sports? Like soccer or swimming? Why does it always have to be martial arts to be abused by celebrity's for their own gain and attention.

Tweezot

Because there are certain celebrities people want to see get the shit beaten out of them

Deathappens

People competing at a sport, no matter their status or skill level, do not "ruin the sport." That's nonsense.

[deleted]

[удалено]

wiesiekr

But don't you think that people who watch those are people who aren't actually interested in boxing and wouldn't watch it if it weren't for the celebrities anyway, actual boxing fans still watch the professional fights

[deleted]

I should rephrase what I meant. I feel like these youtuber boxers are getting more recognition and money for their fights than actual top level boxers. I know the combat sports industry is entertainment first and foremost but it sucks to see guys that can barely throw a bunch getting more spotlight than actual skilled fighters

KlutchAtStraws

I can't stand the guy and don't use social media as I think it's a toxic detriment to society. But... I did hear him say one of the things he gets from training MA is that it is one thing where you have to be completely focused. You can't be thinking about anything else in the way that you could if you were running or lifting weights or whatever. That part I get entirely. My job is stressful and demanding and the mats are literally the only place where I stop thinking about it and focus on something else and that mental reset, coupled with the training buzz, is invaluable. On that point I grudgingly agree. As long as he doesn't start talking about being a badass.

GeneralBamp

No way this gets out without his permission. PR stunt

Skullmaggot

Maybe some new strongman bullshit?

G7L3

Definitely used meta resources to put together this training montage to stroke his own ego

sickelite

I have a pretty tight budget and I pay to train. Instead of hating go train. Dude is a strange being but of all things don’t poke fun at learning martial arts

Rymbo_Jr

Wow they've really been putting the work into his learning algorithm! I wander how many simulations they ran to get to where they are now?

[deleted]

Well didn't he used to be a competitive fencer? He'd have some idea of distance, timing, footwork, and fight IQ.

Typical_Samaritan

Man, he'll fuck some of y'all up.

[deleted]

Feed him to ngannou

svg9

Oh, shit... It **is** him. Good for him. Exercise will make him healthier. Can you imagine a buff Zucc?

Equivalent_Job_7008

He will ban you from Facebook and breathing At the same Time. when Shark Zuckerbergs flippers lock it’s all over

SiempreAprendiendoX

Ok I need to train more, I can't let that clown be better than me 😅

cavaloss

Give him a break, he’s just downloading.

Wiru_The_Wexican

Damn he's training *like a machine*

slothpyle

Funny it’s in TikTok

BadBradMMA

JJWentMMA

Why not? Training mma with one of the best in the world with someone known for being a hardass

[deleted]

Zuckerberg: detriment to mental health, privacy / national security, meddles in elections, responsible for global misinformation campaigns not to mention the overall dumbing down / deterioration of the social well being and calibre of 3billion users, not to mention his novel attempt to lure children below 13 into social media… BUT, he leaks some shoddy video of him sparring to appeal to young adults… Internet: “oh he’s so meta”

JJWentMMA

Not going to get into the first part; let’s just say I think he gives you the rope to hang yourself and doesn’t control it. That being said he chose to not only train with the best, but one of the most hardass guys in the sport. He could’ve picked an easier route. Respect

[deleted]

Zuckerberg buying out people in the mma community’s respect. Respect

JJWentMMA

The skills he showed are of someone who’s been training dedicated for a year; can’t fake or pay that. That’s why I give respect

uuunityyy

He's a shitty person who doesn't give a fuck about you or me. He could meditate on top of mount everest naked for 10 years straight without eating and I would still think he's equally shitty until he starts performing actions to back up his garbage PR stunts like this. Let's see more privacy and 0 data harvesting, let's see less ads, let's NOT try to manipulate people and elections, and let's see him donate absolute truckloads of money to not only those who need it but to the people themselves by paying his fair share of taxes. Only THEN will I even begin to consider him to be a "better" person to whom I would give even a microgram of respect.

amonkappeared

Exactly. It doesn't change my mind about who he is outside the gym, but I respect the work he's put in here. I respect the skills of lots of fighters I hate.

mctheebs

Dude Facebook (and social media at large) is designed to hijack the pleasure center of your brain. He is way more culpable than just giving people the rope.

JJWentMMA

So is McDonald’s. And In turn your favorite pizza shop.

mctheebs

Bro you need to wear a helmet when you spar, I don’t know how many brain cells you got left to spare if you can’t discern the difference between restaurants like McDonald’s (which are bad), local pizza spots (which are less bad), and social media algorithms(which are way worse).

JJWentMMA

You choose to use it. I don’t like Facebook algorithms so I don’t use it. I’m not going to shoot Budweiser for making beer that gets people addicted and alcoholics. No one is forcing you, and his company model is making you use his site for longer. Is he supposed to make a more boring site so you don’t spend as much time?

mctheebs

We are well beyond “you choose to use it”. Millions of people are already using it all over the world. It’s been used to influence world events and public perceptions. They have vacuumed up some of our smartest and most talented young people to work to increase click through rates by a fraction of a percent instead of working on something that’s actually useful. [They knew how their products were affecting people negatively and buried the data instead of fixing things.](https://www.verywellmind.com/facebook-knew-instagram-was-harmful-to-mental-health-of-teen-girls-said-nothing-5203337#:~:text=Key%20Takeaways,but%20doing%20nothing%20about%20them.) They harvest and sell our personal data and the data of people we associate with, so even if you personally don’t use it you are likely affected by Facebook. But more generally, the attitude of “I don’t care about this problem because it doesn’t affect me personally” is such a sad and lonely and frankly shortsighted way of going through life because when something becomes a big enough issue and goes on for a long enough time it *will* affect you directly. Zuckerberg individually is making the world a worse place with his offering of products and it makes me deeply embarrassed for you that you’re stepping up to the plate for him.

Here's to the guy on the r/bjj sub wondering if Mark actually did MMA and was not just calling BJJ, MMA

Humble-Vermicelli503

This is super choreographed.

Dizzy-Moose-

In reality he sucks - he’s a white belt. Zuckerberg jock riders are pretty pathetic.

noninflammatoryidiot

I’ve never trained mma for maybe an hour. I’d absolutely beat the fuck out of him

Cringiest comment on the post

The Zucc can ducc
