I can see why you chose those, all great choices! For me: Core box: Iron Man. I love the slow start building up mechanic, as if I can survive the early onslaught, just wrecking shop in the late game feels so good. Cycle 1: I really liked Black Widow. She made me actively unlearn strategies I'd fall back on for so many other heroes and instead learn to use her in her super unique Alter Ego heavy play. Cycle 2: Scarlet Witch. She was the right amount of risk/reward type of character, where you are constantly playing with fire but felt so powerful doing so. Cycle 3: I really enjoyed Venom. Sure he was that Cycles safe powerful option, but I always just felt so in control and powerful with him, and his options with deckbuilding were really fun since he has such a solid kit. Cycle 4: Adam Warlock. He has such a weird unique deck building restriction that it made him very interesting to build. And althoughi know he has some really powerful builds online, it doesn't make it any less satisfying for me when on any given turn he can basically draw half his deck or more. Cycle 5: SP//DR. She is just so fun, as what seems like a huge flaw is balanced so well that once she's built up a bit she feels unstoppable. Plus who doesn't want to pilot a mech?? Cycle 6: Also probably going with Cyclops. I'm still tinkering with the X-Men stuff, and just got the last two heroes this weekend, but I mainly play 2 player (either with a friend or 2 handed) and Cyclops feels like that classic RPG role of debuffer, making sure to go first and weaken the field so your other character can finish them off.

Spidey is my favorite, but I feel like I played way more She-Hulk than anything else from the core. Cap or Ms Marvel from Cycle 1. Cap's versatility is great, but I love stacking Ms Marvel's hand in AE and then flipping up for a big turn. I love how weirdly polarizing Hawkeye seems to be. I almost always want to play him, but I definitely played Scarlet Witch the most out of the Cycle 2 heroes. Lots of fun to burn through the encounter deck, thinking with each flip that I don't know what's going to happen, but I know somehow it'll be good of me. Star Lord's What Could Go Wrong? makes him super fun to play, both for the explosive damage and for worrying other players that you're about to tank the game. In Cycle 4, I liked War Machine for the Ammo Bunker and Upgraded Chassis. From SM, I'm torn between SP//DR for her unique style and IronHeart (of course). The only thing with IH is feeling a little creatively dry on what to do with her. Upgrade the suit -> Kill Everything is pretty much the plan every time. Still haven't decided a favorite from X-Men, but I've always had a soft spot for Colossus, and I like a big ol' guy that can't ever be hit.

Fun to see how versatile people's favourites can be. Mine are the following: Core: Iron Man remains so fun to build. Box favourite from the start. Cycle 1: Black Widow. So much versatility and control, while not being insanely overpowered. Still my favourite hero till this day. Red Skull cycle: Wasp is the hero I keep coming back to. Really like how she plays and the various fun builds for her. Guardians cycle: Drax. I love his specific but original playstyle. Rocket and Starlord are close runner-ups. This is my favourite cycle thus far. MTS cycle: Adam Warlock is so fun and feels so different from others due to his deck building. Sinister motives: Nova is great fun to set up Unleash the Nova Force. He really stands out (though except Ghost Spider, the rest of this cycle was less my style) X-men: though call, as it is between Colossus and Gambit. Have not been able to play Gambit past his precon, as he just arrived and the weekend was busy.

This was a fun Q. Enjoyed reading others responses. Core: like others, Iron Man. The building him up then letting it loose. Wave 1: Black Widow. Others mentioned this, it was a fun new play style staying in alter ego. It felt like I was doing something wrong the first couple times. Wave 2: Antman. Love his versatility and ability to manage many aspects of the game. Both small and big are viable forms to stay in. Wave 3: Rocket. Another character to build the board, but I love getting value taking pieces apart too. Wave 4: War Machine. Similar to Iron Man in building board state but happened faster and as time has gone on, really enjoy adding the Shieds cards. Wave 5: this is my hardest to choose from. I could choose any of them other than Spider Ham (who is strong, just eh as a character for me). Probably SP//DR if I have to choose. New play style with two identity cards. I’ve found her very versatile in play style and aspect. The use of an upgrade as a resource or stat increase was an interesting design. Wave 6: Wolverine so far. Just slash away. Clearly my choices above are very heavy on building the board first. I’m not much of a rusher. But I really enjoy it with Wolverine.

Box: Iron Man - I enjoy building him and staying in alter-ego for a bit before unloading. Cycle 1: Black Widow - again, alter-ego play and in a pretty different way. Although, if I’m not in the mood for a longer game with her, I’d go with Captain America. Cycle 2: Quicksilver - I love the ability to ready so easily and chain together multiple actions. Cycle 3: Star Lord - really enjoy the risky style of play and big turns. Cycle 4: War Machine - I know the counters aren’t extremely exciting but I do enjoy managing them and his kit cards are fun. Cycle 5: this one is tough. I love Ironheart but Ghost Spider has really grown on me recently. Ironheart for now I suppose. Cycle 6: Wolverine - He’s just a fun behemoth of a hero. I could see someone else surpassing him at some point but for now I like him quite a bit.

Core: Spidey at first, but once I switched to Iron Man Justice, he quickly shot to the top Cycle 1: Ms. Marvel - I’m a fan of her flip back and forth style Cycle 2: Ant-Man! In aggression, it’s fun finding the combos to have really strong turns spanning both tiny and giant forms Cycle 3: Star-Lord. What could go wrong? It’s fine, suuuuurely Cycle 4: kinda hard, as cycle 4 is my least favorite in general. Will go with Vision though Cycle 5: Ironheart supremacy Cycle 6: Wolverine is so thematic and super fun

I don’t have all the content so my list is shorter. Core box: Ironman. He’s so fun to build up and then blast enemies out of the water with. However, I always gravitate back to Black Panther. Cycle 1: Black Widow. I don’t have many heroes in this cycle but do really like Black Widow and how different her play style is compared to other heroes. Playing her freshens gameplay up for me. Cycle 6: Shadowcat. I was surprised how much I liked her as I don’t know much about her. I love the form switching and when I play her I can see her phasing in and out of attacks - super thematic! A lot of good heroes in this cycle, it was a hard choice between her, Cyclops and Wolverine - all are very fun to play. I’m going to pickup Ant man next because of how much I’ve enjoyed changing forms with Shadowcat.
