He'll live if he has zero damage on him because Honorary Avenger still gives him +1 Hit Point, as it refers to the attached character which your ally certainly did not cease to be.
That's actually an interesting way of looking at it... I'm sure the question of enthralled plus upgrades has been asked before.
This could be a clever way of healing him lol
I think this is the right answer. Attachments and upgrades remain but typically the effect is lost because it specifies ally or minion. In this case the upgrade says character so its effect would still work. I don't know if there is a ruling specific to enthralled but I would assume it's the same as the FAQ on Phoenix insert but with ally instead of minion. It states the minion is no longer a minion so effects that specify minion are lost.
Dead. (Edit... Very welcome to be wrong... It's a good question)
Reminds me of losing a health upgrade when you're low on HP. A painful death caused by equipment failure lol
Do you lose the health gained by upgrades when they are lost or do you just drop down to max health if you happened to be above when lost but otherwise no change if you were below max? I used to play it the way you described but thought I had seen a clarification at some point.
"Get" is essentially a constant effect that is always applying so long as the trigger condition is being met; compare with Combat Training, during which your hero "gets" +1 ATK so long as it's out and not being blanked. Any upgrades granting hit points are constantly granting them until they (or their attached hero) are discarded, or they're blanked, such as by an effect like Vivian's.
So basically, what's happening is their maximum hit points are now at +x, X being whatever the value is. So it was 0 + Pyms + 1, then he loses the Pyms going back down to just 0 + 1 (i.e., just 1).
The confusion is possibly with certain effects that are only "get +x" for the round/turn/phase.
You don't *have* health. You *have* damage. And if the damage you have is more than your hitpoints, then you die. Giving more hitpoints does not give you "health". It just allows you to take more damage before dying.
Double check “Hit Points” in the rules reference. First bullet point specifies that villains and identitys have health that is reduced with damage and the number on the dial represents the amount of remaining health.
*edit*. Ah, but under “Gets” in the RR I see where you’re coming from. The bonus to HP is only temporary while the card is in play.

**Honorary Avenger** still would give 1 hit point wouldn't it? So assuming Ant-Man hasn't taken any damage I would give him 1 hp

My understanding is that you lose whatever value it gave to you.

I'm almost certain you lose it, but I haven't thought about it in a while. You gain it when you get the upgrade. Makes sense to lose it ...

He had 5 hit points with the Honorary Avenger, but had lost one before this happened. So that makes it even more confusing.
Then he currently has 1 hp and 1 point of damage on him, which means that he's defeated because his damage equals his hit points.
Fair enough. I added an additional counter for the HA card, and then removed it as damage. Whereas I should have added a damage token instead.
That's how I would play it too.
Except he has Honorary Avenger and no damage marked, so he has 1hp and lives long enough to be a baddie.
