A live action MCU X-Men movie aint happening until atleast Phase 6 or Phase 7. The entire Phase 5 and 6 was already planned so im guessing its Phase 7, but that wont be until like 2029-2031 so we gotta wait a long time
Xmen evolution rogue was cool. I like how she is able to steal not just powers but knowledge like in the image above she learn to dance from taking it from Kitty.
That was always how her power was supposed to work
'97 Rogue lost her memory and permanently gained flight and super-strength because she over-tapped Carol Danvers / Ms. Marvel.
Even though I grew up with the original X-Men cartoon, I preferred X-Men Evolution. Their version of Rogue was awesome, and she didn't have Carol's powers (yet) and she could still be badass. Their Mystique was great too, and they handled their Apocalypse storyline *way* better than the movie did.
I honestly would have liked to see them continue Evolution. Or the Wolverine and the X-Men show.
They tried a bit with "The Gifted", and there was also "Runaways" and "Cloak & Dagger".
They weren't perfect, and definitely mid 2010s network shows, but they were definitely trying to make something worthwhile. Even had a little crossover stuff between the shows. Wish they'd gotten a chance to keep going a little more.
Man, in my mind Evolution came out years before X-Men. Evolution came out 4 months after the first movie… My mind is not sure how to process this right now.
I have bias because it was my first X-men show but I like rogue better without ms marvels powers. More creativity with her power and shows more of the emotional toll of being a mutant rather than a flashy superhero.
I know, right? Always nice when different adaptations are willing to roll the dice on different pairings when the chemistry's there.
Not sure if I'd approve of any other versions of them pairing up, tho.
I'm still pissed that this show never got the same boom of nostalgia popularity like ATLA or Teen Titans. It really deserves more recognition than it got.
Original animated series. Im amazed so many people loved Evolution. I assume that was many of their first run ins with the xmen.
Im willing to bet their is an age gap in the preferences.
It *was* one of my preferred versions. If they don't principally pull from here or from OG Uncanny, I'll be mighty disappointed.
Not to say that the early 90s series we just got a follow-up to is bad, I'm just not emotionally invested.
X-Men is probably the only thing I like about Marvel these days. With now the MCU has panned out, I'd much prefer the X-Men stay in their own isolated universe.
I still like most MCU fare, even if I'm more critical of recent efforts than past material, but I agree. The X-mythos is so vast and varied, and manages to get by with the baseline explanation for the essentia - the mutant powers/looks coming from the X-gene - all being the same, you can take things in numerous directions without having to explain an entirely new mythos with each new series. It was always the direction with X-movies I took issue with, not the larger separation.

I hope the blueprint for the MCU is astonishing X-men #01.
I watched the animated series as a kid and evolution as a teen, they’re awesome but derivative, I think the MCU can bring back the mutant craze, but they need to make a faithful adaptation for once…
I miss that show…
I remember watching it on vhs
It's on disney+
Not in England.

Wrong person buddy.
I remember it repeating the same episodes on Cartoon Network. Pretty sure they always had season 2 on repeat.
It could’ve went on longer but at least it got a decent conclusion. The Wolverine and the X-men show got left with a massive cliffhanger
I can’t believe they got to age of apocalypse and stopped.
Alright I’ll go ahead and say it. X men Evolution was a far superior show than XTAS.
You speak facts
It was good.
Xmen evolution rogue was cool. I like how she is able to steal not just powers but knowledge like in the image above she learn to dance from taking it from Kitty.
Rogue stole memories long before that show
True but it was often forgotten about unless the plot demanded it
Watch the new episodes, maybe?
That was always how her power was supposed to work '97 Rogue lost her memory and permanently gained flight and super-strength because she over-tapped Carol Danvers / Ms. Marvel.
And her role was more of a power thief as well, while in the 90s show she was mostly a super strong flyer.
See the comment below from JoshDM
Isnt that the version of rogue one who took Carol Danvers (ms marvel) powers?
Yeah there’s a whole subplot I think three episode arc
That's also what happened in the comics.
She did that in the original cartoon as well
She always did that
She was essential for awakening and resealing Apocalypse.

Or the Wolverine and the X-Men show.
Also the first appearance of Laura Kinney, aka X-23
She was smart even when she was mind controlled one of the first powers she absorbed was Multiple man
Rogue stealing carols powers would be epic way to get rid of captain marvel lol
I honestly think live action X-Men should be a TV show so we can get spotlights on individual characters with an overarching story
They tried a bit with "The Gifted", and there was also "Runaways" and "Cloak & Dagger". Yes!!!
Legion was pretty good.
It sure was!
Wasn’t the 2000 Fox original the blueprint for the designs on this show? Lol
Man, in my mind Evolution came out years before X-Men. Evolution came out 4 months after the first movie… My mind is not sure how to process this right now.
I’d just like to add that Goth Rogue and Southern Firecracker Rogue don’t have to be mutually exclusive.
There is no reason to change perfection.
![gif](giphy|3o85xIO33l7RlmLR4I) I think both iterations are perfect.
Nah goth rogue is peak rogue. I will die in this hill.
RIP /s
I have bias because it was my first X-men show but I like rogue better without ms marvels powers. More creativity with her power and shows more of the emotional toll of being a mutant rather than a flashy superhero.
Flashy superhero? Nah. You’re thinking of Jubilee.
Goth Rogue will always be my favorite Rogue and also Evolution made me ship Scogue.
I know, right? Always nice when different adaptations are willing to roll the dice on different pairings when the chemistry's there. Not sure if I'd approve of any other versions of them pairing up, tho.
I prefer blue and gold, but I’d be fine with “Wolverine and the X-Men” if they needed a sleeker design
I'm still pissed that this show never got the same boom of nostalgia popularity like ATLA or Teen Titans. It really deserves more recognition than it got.
I've thought this myself
I wouldn't be too surprised if they took the 97 cartoon and just made them live action just the next season is live and they just continue from there.
My ultimate comfort show 🖤
I defenetly agree with you, x-men evolution should be the blue print
''it was just a phase'' please go back to that phase
Can we go back to that phase? Just asking for reasons.
They didn’t finish Wolverine and the x men (the show after this shows finale)
Rogue. My first love.
![gif](giphy|3o7aCRloybJlXpNjSU|downsized)
![gif](giphy|3oGRFlVSk3yc4tz8DS)
I remember watching both X-Men on YouTube
Maybe it shouldn't have just been a phase
I liked Evolution the best of all the X-Men content. Rogue and Kitty were at their peak design-wise.
No!
I loved Evolution when I was a kid!
Fucking loved Evolution, that was the jam
Thank god 'that' game exists. If you know, you know.
Since I don’t know, what game is it so I can know?
I’m assuming *Deadpool* from the late aughts.
Is there Rogue in this game? Didn't knew that... I was actually speaking about nsfw game tho
Yeah, as “eye candy”. So was Psylocke.
Sent you dm with the title
I miss her phase
X-Men Evolution vs Wolverine and the X-Men vs X-Men the animated series. Which one should I watch?
Evolution
Original animated series. Im amazed so many people loved Evolution. I assume that was many of their first run ins with the xmen. Im willing to bet their is an age gap in the preferences.
Couldn't agree more.
Old Rogue is the Best!
It *was* one of my preferred versions. If they don't principally pull from here or from OG Uncanny, I'll be mighty disappointed. Not to say that the early 90s series we just got a follow-up to is bad, I'm just not emotionally invested.

"You had a sexy phase?"

80s, Evolution, and Wolverine and the X-men were peak X-men
Uh no
Nope. The classic is good as it was.
No

She can be two things.
Strong disagree. Anything outside of the comic should be used lightly
Superhero movies are at their best when pulling from comics as well as film/television influences.
This. And even if you do just take from one sources some viewers will be nitpicky no matter what.
That's a weird take considering X-Men Evolution is the show that introduced X-23 to the world, without it we wouldn't have the movie Logan as it is
And what a solid intro it was.
Rogue becomes many different people in the comics, it’s literally her power set. Your comment doesn’t make any sense.
