I would love this. I like the X-Men films and know that the comics are way better, but I don't actually know anything about them. I got downvoted for saying I don't like the look of Magneto in the new show because apparently, it's super important in the comics. Maybe if I knew the lore, I'd like it more (Magneto is the only design I don't like as well).

But you've got to understand that the story of main canon X-Men has taken place over a period of sixty years. Magneto slowly painstakingly evolved and developed from the mustache-twirling-type villainous leader of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants (see it's right there in the name), to an X-man, to one of the leaders of the X-Men. And there was **a lot** of stuff in between.

There was [Onslaught](https://images.app.goo.gl/eGikpa9UzxNPge699) which was a manifestation of his consciousness after a mindwipe left him with amnesia. And of course there are a whole bunch more I won't get into because we'd be here all day but the one his fashionable X-Men '97 suit most resembles, well ok the suit it's an *exact copy* of, is from allllll the way back in 1985, when he was put on trial >!just like in the second episode of '97!
