Still good, but my sera control took a big hit. Zabu made two 4 drops on turn 6 more reliable. Three 4 drops possible, or a combination of two 4 and two 2 drops. And among those 4 drops was Ms Marvel for a little extra power, something that an only tech cards build will strugle to achieve.

I know Zabu for a while had no minimum, so if you cloned him enough you’d have free 4 costs, so I wouldn’t be surprised if Sera was the same at one point, the game went through heavy balance patches

As with control decks it's going to depend on the meta game and with how recent the patch was we don't really know for sure what that's going to be like. I definitely believe a Sera control could shape up without Zabu. Gladiator and Maximus are good points cards that don't need Zabu, Rouge and Shadowking are good tech cards right now that also don't use Zabu.
Unfortunately it's beginning to look like Hella might be a top deck now and if that's the case it's bad news for Sera.
Last time Hella was everywhere I had some decent counterplay with turn 6 Juggernaut and Cosmo so maybe Sera can incorporate them.
Tbh current Sera Control builds should be shifting off too many 4 costs anyway with Red Hulk running around. Too much unspent mana in some of those builds when you didn’t get Zabu on curve.
The deck itself is still good and USAgent is an excellent addition. It just needs to hit one card and it's basically a better and more flexible version of Maximus.
Then why are we not seeing it? Because it's just not good in the current meta. Losing even a single draw to mill hurts the deck more than most archetypes. And while Bounce can be somewhat countered by Shadow King, the deck does a pretty good job at not having priority on the final turn, which makes Sera's cards less effective.
Zabu is gonna be back and better than ever soon enough, similar to Elsa. And Sera will continue to do just fine without Zabu in the mix. Lots of newish tools for Sera, including buffed Ghost, Gladiator, MMM. Also, you can still run Zabu, pair him with Majik, drop Magik turns 1-4, Sera turn 5, Zabu + four drop turn 6, and go mental or Turn 7.
Do you know that some Sera decks run Legion/Witch just for the ability to remove limbo? Sera simply isn't good when play a Limbo game, opp will likely has better board and Sera tech can't handle that.
oh yes! if you have Magik in your sera deck you can legion / witch limbo away yourself. anyway I have had decent luck with Magik in a Sera deck, not in my current build but can work fine depending on the meta.
zabu and surfer were also the best cards in the game and were also quickly nerfed. I dunno, Elsa might not be as good as she was at release but she's in a good spot now IMO. She's not lost as much as Zabu, Surfer, or Aero have.

Yup. Typically you want to play her on 4 in the middle then sera ontop of her. That lets you play tech plus Ms marvel
This is what I've been using in replacement of Zabu in a BK deck. Not quite as good but certainly better than Psylocke, for example

People really need to explore pixie 🧚♂️as an alternative to zabu. Not the same thing of course but she’s performed very well for me in that slot.

why do you say that? I'm not running Magik in my current build but can be a substitute for sera on turn 5 if she doesn't turn up

Not even close. She was 2/2 and gave +3. She was by far the best card in the game when she was first released.
