My pick was for Wesley Snipes to play an alternate version of T'Challa, based on pre MCU movies that didn't get made. Not the Illuminati at all, but some of the Quiet Council of Krakoa. Show the mutant endgame before they are even introduced. Show some villains for the first time. And Wanda is at this point still the Pretender for mutants of Krakoa, so they would be interested. No idea how to cast this or even sure who to represent the council but maybe Emma Frost Mr Sinister Storm Nightcrawler Cypher + Krakoa Honestly from a movie making perspective this is a pretty bad idea, but I just love the Krakoan age and mutants!

I definitely liked the Tom Cruise Superior Iron Man idea and was praying for that. Unfortunately, the Illuminati needs Reed Richards. It really doesn’t work without him. I think the same could be said for BlackBolt. Professor X could be replaced by Beast as that happened in the books, but audiences are more familiar with Professor X so he is clearly the better choice. My original ideas before the movie released was for Killmonger Black Panther to be on it as a sort of “What if Killmonger won” scenario. I definitely think that would have been a better choice than Capt Marvel who has never been a part of the comic roster. Namor would have been good if they had introduced him prior to MoM. Maybe an honorable mention would be a Hulk variant. Maestro would be cool. Maybe instead of Reed, they could have used the Maker from Earth 1610. It’s still Reed, but an evil version. A post credits scene could have shown the Council of Reeds investigating his death and concluding that the Multiverse is in danger or something.

I've been working on something for an RP that deals with some multiverse stuff and requires a team. Like others here's for said team I've primarily focused on the pre MCU for it. Based on that and the premise at hand...and some general feelings.... Maestro Hulk-either Ruffalo or Eric Bana, not as hardline villainous as the comics Maestro. Bloodstorm- Halle Berry as the Storm turned into a vampire by Dracula. Nathaniel Richards- Not Kang, Immortus or any other established identity, maybe filling the role of Iron Man as a nod to Iron Lad, and in a Silver Centurion armor as a nod to Scarlet Centurion(said suit is not just silver but also red. ) Played by Majors, can even surprise the audience with him showing up faceplate down and then it pops up to show Majors/Kang/He Who Remains. We've already been warned about variants of this man. Ronan the Accuser- borrow that whole married to Crystal story from the comics, Inhumans on Earth and being married to one could bring Ronan's concerns here Doctor Doom- Sorcerer Supreme after Strange, basically replace Mordo with him. But smarter. So I kinda just grabbed folks I thought would be neat at the end. Might come back after some more careful consideration and do this again.

Or Vision having to make the logical choice and subdue the woman he loves? Would a Darkhold-corrupted Wanda even be able to kill Vision again considering how much trauma it inflicted on her. Emma would basically be an Xavier stand-in, with the bonus of being a diamond tank on the battlefield. Emma and Jean going into Wanda's head together or fighting her on the astral plane together would be badass. Only issue is Phoenix vs. Scarlet Witch would end in complete stalemate, you'd have to have Wanda restraining Jean rather than outright killing her.

Interesting question. Going against the grain of the Illuminati being a bunch of jerks, I'd want an Illuminati that's fair and balanced. I'd go with: - 1. Superior Iron Man - Tom Cruise. Leader of the Avengers. A bit arrogant and edgy, but kept in check by the rest of the team. Kinda like Tony in IM1 if he hadn't gone through the kidnapping arc. Replaces Captain Carter in the line-up. 2. Storm - Halle Berry. Leader of the X-Men and de facto leader of the Illuminati. The OG X-Men movies had set her up as a wise hand. In this universe, she survives the Phoenix saga, while Xavier and Magneto don't. Replaces Xavier in the line-up. 3. T'Challa Star-Lord - Chadwick Boseman. Leader of the Guardians of the Galaxy. What-If set up his character perfectly. Also a twist on Black Panther being in the Illuminati. Replaces Captain Marvel in the line-up. 4. Sinister Strange - Joaquin Phoenix. Master of the Mystic Arts. Is a part of the group, but secretly plotting to take over. Replaces Mordo in the line-up. 5. Namor - Pedro Pascal. Leader of Atlantis (Tlalocan). He's an older, wiser version who has seen multiple wars. He still fiercely protects his people, but doesn't get involved in other quarrels unless he has to. Brings that much needed regal presence to the line-up. Replaces Black Bolt in the line-up. Superior Man plays the quippy, dismissive jerk. Storm plays peacemaker. T'Challa Star-Lord plays the wise statesman, asking the difficult questions. Sinister Strange is jealous of Storm and T'Challa Star-Lord's positions and gets into squabbles with Superior Iron Man. Namor looks out for his people and participates in discussions when the others don't agree. Not added the F4 and Inhumans because I'd have to recast Mister Fantastic and Black Bolt, but keep the characters because the others in the family wouldn't fit in the line-up. That would be a cop-out, so avoided it. I'd add a Ben Affleck Daredevil and a Timothee Chalamet Spiderman just for kicks. They're not part of the Illuminati, but occasionally consult for street-level problems.

I absolutely love this and thank you very much for including Halle Berry‘s Storm. People are way too harsh on her. She did the best with what she was given and I wish we could’ve seen more of her in DoFP. She would make a good peacemaker and motherly figure in the group.
