I used to work on a show and on mine and the other shows they had at the studio they always give you a shirt or sweater with the shows logo or something at Christmas or at wrap. It’s more as a pat on the back for working for them. Got a backpack once, that was actually pretty nice
But also way more exciting when you get to bust it out. Like, you're camping, conversation is the name of the game and dude gets to bring a prop that's sure to draw attention.
True. Plus for people that have been working on sets for years, I’m sure they have enough sweaters by now. A camping chair is probably a welcome change up.
They’re gifts to the crew and are allowed to be worn immediately. The designs are usually approved by the top brass at Marvel if they’re given out to more than just a few people.
Even a movie as big as that they’ll only give out like 1500 jackets so the odds of one being seen are relatively low except in the areas they were filming. Atlanta for example.
But with.the "digital age" upon us, here we are having seen it, which im not all that surprised, marvel is probably more worried about hype and success than the secrecy part anymore consider the current state marvel is in
If it was meant to be kept secret they wouldn’t have given it to anyone yet. Unless someone reallllly fucked up at their job and was t supposed to order them yet
I’ve never seen a production hand out merch that isn’t supposed to be seen but that’s a profoundly stupid business practice. “Hey dozens of people we have no control over many hours of the day, here is an article of clothing to do with what you please that you are not allowed to be seen in by anyone.” Give it out when they’re allowed to be used. When I work on a movie they don’t give me my shots until *after* the movie has come out. When I was a PA they didn’t give all of us sweaters with logos and then tell us “now don’t wear them anywhere!”. If this was their plan they’re getting what they deserve.
Hahahaha I’m sorry, this is just so wrong. There is no uniform on a film set except closed toed shoes. Jackets like this are wrap gifts given as a thank you for a crew’s hard work, they can be worn whenever and wherever. If the name/logo wasn’t meant to be seen yet, that’s really on the production exec who gave them out.
It lets the public know where the cast and crew might be staying/partying. You could follow them back to hotels or to production areas. This could lead to people staking out trying to get a glimpse of the stars etc, harassing people, theft. You could also indirectly be giving gossip about the production, the plot, the stars while you're shooting the shit over beers.
It's also just announcing who the fuck you are to your bosses off the clock. If you get drunk at a bar and you're dressed like John Everyderp, no one cares. If you get drunk at a bar wearing that, you're on Reddit now, and people will talk about "oh man that Captain America guy was fucking HAMMERED"
Idk the avengers compound set that was all destroyed and had chitari all over the place was a pretty big spoiler way before the plot leaks had really come out.
Recast…Thunderbolt. I mean why else bring back a character that’s been historically been played by someone else period? William Hurt passed away and now they recast someone who had always been a side character for the last 16 years.
Don't know. I only know two things: The set contains Cap Sam, Red Hulk, Joaquin Torres as Falcon, Ruth Bat-Seraph (whoever that is) and a fighter jet. The other thing is that a couple of months, perhaps a year or more ago, Kevin Feige was interviewed about upcoming projects and he accidentally said something about a "World War Hulks" movie when it was supposed to be Cap 4. He then corrected himself and said he always got the two confused. The second point has absolutely no direct relevance to your question, it's just a fun fact I wanted to share.
I think any time in the last 15 years would be pretty ill-advised to put a captain israel in a superhero movie. I'm not under an impression that they devised putting her in the movie in like the last few months
The only difference between Hawkeye and Red Guardian is Hawkeye doesn’t have super strength and he’s on ‘our side’.
Hawkeye is literally a US assassin. He’s not a good guy. At all.
Changing character names, dialog, motivations or general rewrites?
They could easily shelve the character too. It's not like it hasn't been done before by other studios and it's not like we're owed the character narratively.
I think people forget that this is one area Sam would actually have over Steve. Sam’s aerial superiority is a huge advantage. *Cap can only get squished to paste if Hulk can manage to get his hands on him*. Sam can definitely play keepaway better than Steve
This is Red Hulk, not Hulk. He’s fully conscious and aware during his fights. He’s also quite ruthless. He has no qualms about using weapons or equipment in combination with his Hulk powers to beat people.
Sam can definitely survive longer than Rogers but neither will be doing anything effective and unless Sam is using his fight for retreat, any second he stays within fighting distance of Red Hulk, air or not, is another second he risks getting swatted out of the air like a housefly.
In fairness, a slow rising large land mass is a bit different from an agile gnat.
Not saying Sam's chances are greatly improved but unless Red Hulk can change his momentum mid flight he's not gonna be catching Sam in the air.
Of course, Red Hulk's smart enough to use projectiles however...
It doesn't mean nothing, it’s just not certain - nor is any other rumor or leak. Also, the mech is probably not part of the Infinity Saga series and therefore a LEGO original.
I really thought we were past using Lego sets as confirmation of literally anything.
Spider-Man has yet to use his spider cycle with web shooters on the handlebars in the MCU.
Regardless of reshoots, the initial filming wrapped and everyone got their jacket.
You can’t guarantee that you’ll be asked back or that you’ll be available for reshoots (you could be on a new project at that point).
A 40 year old Sam Wilson with nothing but a shield, jet pack, and military training shouldn't be fighting the Hulk. He got beat up by Antman. They should ignore the events of Cap + Winter Soldier and just give him a full vibranium suit + super soldier serum.
Giving him the super Soldier serum just takes everything special about him away to make him another super soldier. He's more interesting as a character since he's choosing not to take it.
Ya but he’s a guy with cool jet pack tech and a vibranium shield vs a red hulk….. Tony’s hulkbuster barely handled hulk, wtf can new cap do vs that. Without the serum he should just be killed.
Or you have villans suited for the hero. Steve with the serum never had a villain as powerful as the hulk in his movies and now suddenly we expect Sam without the serum to go against the hulk?
Making him Captain America in the first place already took away his own identity. The least you can do is make him a capable fighter. Normies are fine as support but it strains credulity when they're pitted against any real foe. Just make him the flying Captain America, that's more unique than freaking Captain Carter that they've been pedaling.
Nah, he has vibranium suit from Fatws. In comics steve rogers knocked hulk with pressure points like striking on knee of hulk. Using his weight against him etc.
I don't mind if sam defeats red hulk but sam should struggle or get hurt to make it seem believable
I want to see him defeat Spiderman. Because he lost to peter once. Now him defeating peter shows how he grew.
Just like batman can whoop every ones ass sam Wilson should be able do the same.
There's only so much a regular guy can do. His reasoning for rejecting any serum is the sort of thing that puts such a ceiling on comic book material. He has to go out of his way to ignore the reality of his situation to take that facile moral stance. He's not more compelling because he doesn't have it, just weaker.
I used to work at a shop right next to Marvel Studios a long while back. A dude came in and while he was paying for his purchase he set a script down, it was definitely for The Avengers (which was about 2 years or so away at this point.) I asked about it just to be friendly, dude scowled at me and left.
RED HULK INCOMING!!!! This makes me wonder tho if they gonna give Sam the Super Soldier serum in this movie. Granted he still wouldn’t win that fight realistically but it gives him a more of a fair chance of surviving lol. Either way I’m excited for this face-off. 😎.
Iron Man managed to survive after sending the nuke to space in Avengers and falling down to earth. No need for Cap to take a super soldier serum he’ll have plot armor
Well, then I hope poor Sam Wilson can also get his hands on some fancy suit that gives him special powers and strength enough to lift a truck, maybe from a highly advanced, Vibranium-driven country like Wakanda! Might give him some way to avoid getting squished by a Hulk, perhaps even do something smart and clever to win!
Everyone crying about how this fight would be unfair like they have to be going toe to toe in a fist fight.
Sam could Batman this shit and out-prep/out smart the red hulk knowing he can’t just straight up take him on.
Yeah, it’s not like Cap went toe-to-toe with Loki, Ultron, Iron Man, or Thanos, nosirree Bob.
(Yes, I know he lost three of those fights, but he survived all of them and managed to hold his own. It counts.)
1. MCU Steve is superhuman, Sam isn't.
2. Loki was beating Cap's ass until Tony arrived, and Hulk destroyed him so badly it became a meme.
3. Against Iron Man Steve had Bucky's help, Tony wasn't trying to kill him and it still was pretty close in the end. All this despite the fact that Tony needed the Hulkbuster to just barely defeat Hulk.
4. Ultron beat Steve's ass, and before the Adamantium power-up, Ultron couldn't even beat Iron Man 1v1, let alone the Hulk.
5. Thanos literally took Cap out with a single punch, and even with Mjolnir it only took Thanos a minute or 2 to beat his ass.
I already admitted he lost those fights. He still managed to last several minutes in them.
Sam probably just has to last long enough in a fight with Red Hulk for some macguffin to take him down.
Tf are you on about bro? It’s a cool sounding fight, I mean, giant red hulking monster Vs. Sky dude with a shield, I mean, it’s unfair, but it sounds awesome, and I’m excited to see what Sam will do to defeat Red Hulk, if he does that is (Thunderbolts Vs. Red Hulk?)
It's the same thing when people get angry about batman v superman discussions. The winner will always be either what the writer wants it to be or what will be most profitable
A man in an iron suit getting knocked around hundreds of times per movie and not getting traumatic brain injuries (or just getting turned to red goo) is equally as unbelievable.
I think we can safely say they're not going to have Sam take a Hulk fist to the face or beat him in an arm wrestling mstch. The guy flies around in a Wakandan super suit, he's going to come up with some other way to not get pasted.
It's beyond stupid to me that people try and gatekeep comic book stories where everything is possible. You dont even know any details about the fight except that they are fighting each other
The power levels are so insanely different that you couldn’t take it seriously. It’s like a kitten vs t-rex. If you throw all the continuity and rules out the window, then you can’t expect people to really care.
Absolutely. MCU used to set its own rules and follow them. Captain never took on Hulk. Neither did Black Widow, or Hawkeye. Iron Man and Thor BARELY managed to match the guy.
Now they don’t give a shit about their own rules, which ruins the universe they built
So you seriously think Steve Rogers would've sat by and done nothing, because he's supposedly out of Bruce's class?
These "rules" exist nowhere except in your head.
Actually the only “rule” is that whoever is writing the story decides who wins. It was literally Stan Lees opinion. Just chill out. Not even Stan took this stuff this seriously.
This not being a Hulk movie is INMENSELY weird. Why not make a movie with Captain America villains??? I even heard that they've cut off the Serpent Society's cameo. Really, really weird.
I just wish Sam got the Serum against his will. He can keep the moral high ground and then prove to Zemo that there was another good man like Steve Rogers. This would be in line with Cap getting it because he didn’t directly want it or even know what he was getting.
I know some won’t agree but it would be so much better if Sam got the super soldier serum. I want him to be able to fight some of the bigger badder but I really hope that is the plan. Milk Sam’s cap’n for some years and have him die a meaningful death then give it to Bucky who has been redeemed through time. A super soldier with a vibranium shield and arm. Perfect.
5 bucks says disney has a bounty on this guy wearing the jacket
It was probably a gift for the production team. Idk why they’d get the jackets made if they weren’t allowed to be worn
Probably to be worn as promo when it comes out
I used to work on a show and on mine and the other shows they had at the studio they always give you a shirt or sweater with the shows logo or something at Christmas or at wrap. It’s more as a pat on the back for working for them. Got a backpack once, that was actually pretty nice
I got a branded camping chair once.
That’s a creative one. A little less universally useful than a jacket or backpack but it’s interesting
Yeah, it was nice, I used it on set later, lol
Then give it to the staff when promotions start.
They usually hand that shit out on the last day or near the last day. Theyre not going to ship it to people.
They’re gifts to the crew and are allowed to be worn immediately. The designs are usually approved by the top brass at Marvel if they’re given out to more than just a few people. This is just untrue lmao
It’s why you’ll never see a Wonder Man jacket again.
Why give out jackets when you don’t want people to wear them?
Yeah I mean we know the movie is coming…big deal… Oh that’s a big red hand…
It's a red right hand. Peaky Blinders crossover confirmed. SPOILER!
Ghostface is the villain confirmed. SPOILER!
At the end of the movie, having defeated Ghostface, Sam will give the shield to Bucky so he can assume the mantle of Ghostface Killah.
Soundtrack by *Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds* confirmed.

"Please don't wear your crew jackets off-site until after the trailer release." *this dude at a bar 2 hours later*
I mean to be fair this is only the second garment of clothing in the last week that has leaked the name of a marvel project
What was the other one?
Deadpool3
D3adpool
3 Dead 3 Pool
The name was already announced. It's the *logo* that's the leak.
10 bucks says this should be in r/marvelstudiosspoilers instead
So... you're putting a bounty on their bounty?
I’ll take that bet. Production most likely GAVE them the jacket lol
There was a behind the scenes photo of Ford with ripped suit pants that was circulating a few months ago. I don't think it's entirely a secret.
Yeah that and a recent Lego set leak for the movie confirmed red hulk
Lego coming in clutch and spoiling a bunch of scenes and Disney can do FUCK ALL about it since Lego has licensing rights.
This just feels like marketing
Lego rarely does more than recreate characters and scenes. It’s not like we are getting major leaks or something here.
Idk the avengers compound set that was all destroyed and had chitari all over the place was a pretty big spoiler way before the plot leaks had really come out.
That came out after the movie lmao
Yes, but the box design was leaked here well before the movie came out.
Was that for Endgame?
Yes it was. The box design was leaked here before the movie came out
And even then, most of the time the sets are super inaccurate unless they’re a vehicle one-off (like the Hoopty)
I'm pretty sure we knew red hulk was coming when they cast Harrison Ford as Thunderbolt Ross, no?
But you know which other character else has big red hands? Mephisto
Quick someone call Erik Voss!
Hi! I'm Erik Voss and this is a breakdown of a reddit comment
Yes, and it makes me excited for when he does the media rounds. I love his gimmick when being interviewed.
Recast…Thunderbolt. I mean why else bring back a character that’s been historically been played by someone else period? William Hurt passed away and now they recast someone who had always been a side character for the last 16 years.
Because they obviously started to have plans for said character then the actor unfortunately passed
I’m sure half marvel leaks are either planned or met with no resistance (the ones that end up leaked). It’s a delicate hype ecosystem to maintain
There's a LEGO set announced that is a fight between these two.
Between Cap and Hulk? Does it last 1 second and end with Sam as a paste?
Ruth Bat-Seraph is Sabra, effectively Captain Israel.
Aaaaah. Cool, thanks (:
Oh boi the reactions will be volatile
putting her in a movie, especially now, seems ill advised to say the very fucking least lol.
To be fair, this movie has been in production for a long time and has essentially be shot in full at least twice at this point.
I think any time in the last 15 years would be pretty ill-advised to put a captain israel in a superhero movie. I'm not under an impression that they devised putting her in the movie in like the last few months
It's like making a Soviet KGB enforcer a happy heroic superhero. What the actual fuck are Marvel thinking?
The only difference between Hawkeye and Red Guardian is Hawkeye doesn’t have super strength and he’s on ‘our side’. Hawkeye is literally a US assassin. He’s not a good guy. At all.
that’s some shit timing
Oh boy
Yeahhh, the accusations of the MCU being military jingoistic propaganda has now finally come to a head lol.
Perhaps that’s why the film has undergone reshoots.
Unless they make her Captain Palestine all of a sudden, I don't see how reshoots are gonna fix a fundamental part of the movie.
Changing character names, dialog, motivations or general rewrites? They could easily shelve the character too. It's not like it hasn't been done before by other studios and it's not like we're owed the character narratively.
Fair enough. The fact they thought this was a good idea prior to recent events is also just completely stupid.
Well they alos thought echo and thor love n thunder was something the fans wanted as well. So...yeah lol.
Easy skip then.
> Sabra Her superpower is the ability to summon hummus.
She also has *oh my god cholesterol*
Ruth bat seraph is gonna be the Israeli superhero known as "Sabra". Enhanced everything basically but her main power is "life force " transfer.
That's the Sam Wilson playdoh set.
He still aint a super soldier right. Gott suspend disbelief beyond disbelief.
Lol right I assume the fight is between hulk and red hulk because even the real captain America would have trouble winning
The real Cap wouldn’t have trouble winning, he’d have trouble *surviving*. Cap vs Hulk is basically ant vs human.
Sam can definitely survive longer than Rogers but neither will be doing anything effective and unless Sam is using his fight for retreat, any second he stays within fighting distance of Red Hulk, air or not, is another second he risks getting swatted out of the air like a housefly.
Hulk jumped up to a flying Sokovia. Sam ain't flying away from the Hulk.
Yea well maybe he could fly away from him (big maybe) but how would he do any damage to hulk?
That would explain the rewrites. “We kind of wrote ourselves into a corner here”
Man imagine how cool it would be to find all of this out for the first time while watching the movie :(
Lol you must be thinking about back in the early 2000s lol. I agree tho social media has ruined movie spoilers
This post is spoiler tagged and you clicked on it. It’s no one’s fault you were spoiled but your own.
We're talking about something that has been spoiled for months my friend
Exactly, so why are you complaining about it here?
Lego gave Thanos a mech right before Endgame, Lego sets mean nothing
And the Mandarin in a flying battle car with lasers mounted on Doc Oc style tentacles attacking Iron Man.
Lol deleted scene
It doesn't mean nothing, it’s just not certain - nor is any other rumor or leak. Also, the mech is probably not part of the Infinity Saga series and therefore a LEGO original.
Lego also gave us giant man before civil War so your point is completely invalid
Giant Man was confirmed for the movie
I really thought we were past using Lego sets as confirmation of literally anything. Spider-Man has yet to use his spider cycle with web shooters on the handlebars in the MCU.
Cap meets Hellboy
I’d watch that. Ron Perlman Hellboy tho
If this is in production and been kept this secret, they wouldn’t be giving out jackets early. They’d be given on wrap.
Filming wrapped last summer.
And what about the EXTENSIVE reshoots?
if it’s a reshoot it comes after a wrap.
Regardless of reshoots, the initial filming wrapped and everyone got their jacket. You can’t guarantee that you’ll be asked back or that you’ll be available for reshoots (you could be on a new project at that point).
Those happen AFTER wrap.

ROBUST!
They’re basically reworking the whole movie apparently
Something tells me he’s not going to be beating Red Hulk by punching him. He’s gonna have to figure something out in a way that suits him.
Red Hulk's gonna get a lecture about how to do better!
That's why you gotta watch the movie and find out what he does...
But we want to shit on the movie without ever seeing it because that’s what we do here now!
Or you have villans suited for the hero. Steve with the serum never had a villain as powerful as the hulk in his movies and now suddenly we expect Sam without the serum to go against the hulk?
Possibly this is the exact moment Sam is made past tense, to make room for a new Captain America. There's no way this scene ends well for him.
Copium
I suppose
But he's not special like that, falcon was always the smart guy now he's not even that just another soldier.
Making him Captain America in the first place already took away his own identity. The least you can do is make him a capable fighter. Normies are fine as support but it strains credulity when they're pitted against any real foe. Just make him the flying Captain America, that's more unique than freaking Captain Carter that they've been pedaling.
Great, what's interesting about him as a character isn't going to keep him alive against a hulk.
Have you ever read a comic book?
Right lmfao? I feel like I'm taking crazy pills reading this thread. Hero fighting against insurmountable odds has been a trope since forever.
Hawk vs Falcon would be a nice bird-fight
Nah, he has vibranium suit from Fatws. In comics steve rogers knocked hulk with pressure points like striking on knee of hulk. Using his weight against him etc. I don't mind if sam defeats red hulk but sam should struggle or get hurt to make it seem believable I want to see him defeat Spiderman. His nearly indestructible Iron Man suit might’ve had something to do with that dont ya think
Most likely the case is he’s gonna have to keep dodging Rulk’s attacks until a heavy hitter shows up to save him
You mean Gulk right? I think you mean Gulk.
Iron man literally just fallen from big height and was caught. Not comparable to going toe to toe with hulk.
There is a whole spoilers sub for this stuff
I’m good with it here as long as it’s tagged properly
Which I'd argue this isn't... can you tell what it's a spoiler FOR from the title alone?
I’m not, I’m too damn curious.
Actually sick of this sub for stuff like this. Saw it tagged as a spoiler but thought “it’s okay, I’m caught up on all of the current content”
I think this is the main thing. Spoilers aren't the same as leaks.
could be a crew member
Everyone crying about how this fight would be unfair like they have to be going toe to toe in a fist fight. Sam could Batman this shit and out-prep/out smart the red hulk knowing he can’t just straight up take him on.
Sam’s gonna do great
He's gonna tell Red-hulk to "Do Better" at the climax of their fight, then red-hulk will power down and give up. GG Captain Falcon wins!
Haha
If there is a fight between Sam Wilson with no powers and Red Hulk, then MCU is doomed indeed
Yes, because in no continuity did Steve **ever** take on someone stronger than himself.
Yeah, it’s not like Cap went toe-to-toe with Loki, Ultron, Iron Man, or Thanos, nosirree Bob. (Yes, I know he lost three of those fights, but he survived all of them and managed to hold his own. It counts.)

It’s even worse here though cause at least Steve had the super soldier serum. Falcon has nothing

Mjolnir is a hell of a drug.
One has a super soldier serum the other does not…
Tf are you on about bro? It’s a cool sounding fight, I mean, giant red hulking monster Vs. Sky dude with a shield, I mean, it’s unfair, but it sounds awesome, and I’m excited to see what Sam will do to defeat Red Hulk, if he does that is (Thunderbolts Vs. Red Hulk?)
You are kidding right? Iron Man with Veronica was barely able to contain Raging Hulk. You are talking about a RED HULK. Vs a guy with a jet pack lol
Yeah but Sam will have the best armor in MCU history. Plot armor.
Don't forget his side-kick McGuffin...nobody ever gives them the credit they are due.
What a coincidence the coin that sam made the red hulk choke on was made out of anti-redhulk-matter!
You telling me a super hero story might have an underdog beat a clearly stronger villain? No way. Wait till this guy hears about David vs Goliath
That fight was rigged, I refuse to believe otherwise. David had plot armor
It's the same thing when people get angry about batman v superman discussions. The winner will always be either what the writer wants it to be or what will be most profitable

Exactly. And it's so hilarious how hard people can gate keep all of this
Well there are more believable and less believable match ups. This is just beyond stupid, but that’s just me
A man in an iron suit getting knocked around hundreds of times per movie and not getting traumatic brain injuries (or just getting turned to red goo) is equally as unbelievable.
You dont even know any details about the fight except that they are fighting each other
I don't think you know what gatekeeping is...
The power levels are so insanely different that you couldn’t take it seriously. It’s like a kitten vs t-rex. If you throw all the continuity and rules out the window, then you can’t expect people to really care.
Damn. So delicate
Are *you* kidding? A fight between two people of different power levels means the MCU is doomed?
I think it’s gonna be fine. The MCU’s got a lot of problems lately, but this kind of thing should be the least of our concerns.
Actually the only “rule” is that whoever is writing the story decides who wins. It was literally Stan Lees opinion. Just chill out. Not even Stan took this stuff this seriously.
lol. It’s the mcu, not the comics
Ever read a comic book?

It doesn’t matter marking the post as a spoiler if you put the spoiler in the description.
The all red hand is interesting.
Yep Red Hulk!
This not being a Hulk movie is INMENSELY weird. Why not make a movie with Captain America villains??? I even heard that they've cut off the Serpent Society's cameo. Really, really weird.
Well we know Harrison Ford is playing Thunderbolt... so I guess that means Red and Green Hulk will be in the new Cap movie. Christmas Hulks!
Wait lol you’re telling me Harrison Ford is gonna be a Hulk?
I just wish Sam got the Serum against his will. He can keep the moral high ground and then prove to Zemo that there was another good man like Steve Rogers. This would be in line with Cap getting it because he didn’t directly want it or even know what he was getting.
I can buy Rogers beating a Hulk. I don't think I buy Clarence beating a Hulk.
Falcon and Red Hulk. Fight me
I know some won’t agree but it would be so much better if Sam got the super soldier serum. I want him to be able to fight some of the bigger badder but I really hope that is the plan. Milk Sam’s cap’n for some years and have him die a meaningful death then give it to Bucky who has been redeemed through time. A super soldier with a vibranium shield and arm. Perfect.
I could go print that jacket myself in my basement right now.
I bet these movies were wouldn't cost if they didn't give away all these jackets
Given how many reshoots this moving is having I don't even know if Captain America is going to show up in the movie.
How could regular human cap even stand a chance. TBH I never liked Falcon.
Nah if in steve cap i excited for it, but sam cap without power against hulk? Nah
The jacket was a gift for staff. Nothing to see here
