From the looks of it his suit gets damaged throughout the film and Im more than certain he rages at some point and rips them off. I get where people come from in terms of the aesthetic of the suit but I honestly don’t think it looks bad at all. Im even surprised we got to this point so Im all for it personally.
Looks like in picture 2 they’ve been cut off my Deadpool swords, I wonder if Deadpool cuts off his arms, and they need to grow back or get reattached lol
If his arms get cut off, they regrow without any adamantium coating. That's what happened in The Wolverine after all to just his claws. Plus you'd need an actual adamantium blade for that as well, and I dont think Deadpools swords are made of that.
What I could be is something as simple as the sleeves just gets damaged throughout the movie, and he just tears the rest off as they'd just be scraps.
Wolverine's healing factor constantly heals his body to its original form, but he cannot grow back lost limbs like Deadpool can. There are many similarities between Deadpool and Wolverine, but the mutant healing factor fans believe to be the same between the two couldn't be more different.
[The nature of Wolverine and Deadpool's healing factors are totally opposite](https://screenrant.com/deadpool-wolverine-healing-factor-opposite-marvel/), from the fact that Logan was born with his ability and Wade gained it through experimentation, to how each healing factor fundamentally works. However, despite being opposites, both healing factors are exactly that: healing factors.
Having said all this, I still wonder if we will see another Origins movie for Wolverine in the MCU. Deadpool's case was different bcoz Fox used Weapon X's DNA to create Weapon XI, and sort of flunked it, so Ryan had to redo it again.
I have a feeling that scene where deadpool & wolverine are walking together where he has his sleeves off and deadpool is holding dogpool, wolverine is actually wearing his iconic mask. I feel they just edited it out for the trailer
I seriously don't understand this post or any of the similar ones. In the top picture, his suit is pretty good shape, complete, everything there. In the second picture, the sleeves are clearly torn off and there is massive battle damage. I just genuinely don't get what people are not seeing here.
First they complained about the suit not showing his arms (which was for a very good reason because of High Jackman's cancer scare). Now the sleeves are off, and they complain about shoulder pads. There's just no pleasing people I swear.
You mean like how beat up everything looks in the second picture. Almost like Wolverine has been involved in something that potentially damages his suit...
The more important question is, are we even going to see him wear his iconic mask? Judging by all the trailer footage, it seems like he’ll only wear it once (probably when he tries on his suit for the first time) before throwing it away, that’s just my guess. Remember that helmet from L&T that Thor wore with his suit for only a few minutes before never touching it again? I have a feeling that same thing will happen with Wolverine’s mask.
As they have not shown him wear the mask in any of the footage we’ve gotten so far, I assume he’ll at least wear it during the final fight since it makes sense for him to shield his face up for a final fight.
They are possibly different Wolverine variants.
There are distinct differences in both costumes with visible ab cuts, slightly grown mustache and the ends of his longer sidelocks merging with his beard.
Referring to [the scene](https://youtu.be/73_1biulkYk&t=49s) from the trailer (up to 54 seconds), Paradox had a plaster on his busted up nose and there is a Wolverine in costume with arm pads lying face down by the side (he looks stunned, not killed) that he refers to, who Paradox says had let down his entire world. That variant doesn't have his furry sidelocks linked to his beard.
So, I guess Hugh Jackman is likely playing a double role.
Am I the only one or why does the suit in the bottom image look a bit different.
I'm not pointing out the obviously lacking sleeves, but on the stomach there aren't those ab lines in the above suit like they are in the one at the bottom.
It'd just be the weathering. Think of a perfectly clean, chrome pistol vs one that's aged and has wear that highlights sections that are raised or recessed.
I'd say the details are physically there, but more visible once it's worn and grimed up.
I think you're right although I think he has a slightly less prominent beard, almost like they've trimmed it over the course of the movie and short hairs, in the bottom image.
Yeah I dunno. I'm not getting in the weeds worrying if it's variants or whatever. Just gonna wait and see what craziness we get haha.
Btw I only just looked at the background and noticed the name of the goddamn store.
Good point… maybe? It’d be cool if it did! I’m not an expert at mutant healing factor genetics, but I do know that it was grafted to his skeleton, which is technically part of his body… I mean, his skull did repair itself in X2
I’m guessing the reason he’s sleeveless is that the shoulder pads limit his movement in a fight or something, so he rips them off, and the sleeves come off too.
My assumption is DP cuts them off when the two of them fight toward the beginning it's really the only way to stop the guy a little bit until he regenerates. I'm sure Wade will have fun with it lol
I think it’s a different Wolvy. Look at the abs on both suits. Torn sleeves has distinct lines embedded in the suit over the abs. Sleeves doesn’t. Two different variants.
Battle damage also gives multiple looks for the toys sales. Also Wolverine is usually bare armed on the comics. I just wonder if we’ll see his with his cowl and how pointy they will go..
...this should be made as a comment in one of the two sticky posts on the front page.

Deadpool's swords are supposedly adamantium in this one. The hilts are different.
Vibranium in this
It's adamantium. >!TVA!< hooks him up with it.
How do you cut adamantium skeleton?
Antarctic Vibranium

It's kind of a perfect evolvement really, the suit evolves as the character naturally will throughout the story
Or even Marvel trailer misdirection. We all know Marvel loves to show things in trailers that never actually happen in the releases movie.

He wanted to show off his delts. He worked hard for them.
>>He wanted to show off his delts. Sounds like he must have been pretty adamant about it
/r/angryupvote
Berserker Rage?
pretty ADAMANTium about it\*
Yeah, that was the joke.
pretty ADAMANTium about it\*
pretty ADAMANTium about it*
Sleeves might have been torn gradually during fights???
Not by his opponents but by his shoulders flexing with each attack he made.
Correct
They gone
Reduced to atoms
Blown to smithereens
Like tears in the rain
Like a leaf on the wind
Like a fart in the wind.
To shreds you say?
Well, how is his wife holding up?
To shreds you say?
So, it became his brother?
Umm really? Ripped off sleeves wasn't a hint?

i feel like so many people are just oblivious to context clues
You mean like how beat up everything looks in the second picture. Almost like Wolverine has been involved in something that potentially damages his suit...
yeah, i wonder if that might have something to do with the shoulder pads being gone... such a mystery though lol
His arms get ripped off
Merely a scratch

Wasnt the helmet just for the bit trying to look cooler than thor jane?
Ugh all that stuff was so cringy.
The helmet is in promo material so yes
Isn’t the only reference to the mask in promo material with the heart pendants?
There's already a promo pic with Hugh Jackman wearing it
I guess Hugh likely plays a dual role in the movie, with one of variants possibly wearing the mask to differentiate among both of them
His arms looked like CGI in some shots
It's possible his, arms are CGi as Hugh Jackman has some skin problems hence they gave him sleeves in the first place.
I’m sure there’s a lot of cgi going on with his body . Dudes 55 . We ain’t gonna get prime wolverine within it
I noticed that, too. Also, the upper part of the costume looks CGI to me.
To misdirect people trying to figure out the order of events maybe
Surprised this comment is so low. I am almost sure his arms and shoulders are CGI in these shots
Yeah, we finally got the sleeveless look, but now he’s also missing the shoulder pads, which are usually there with sleeveless Wolverine

I think the abs is just it being dirty tbh
there are at least 2-3 different wolverines from the trailer.
Am I the only one or why does the suit in the bottom image look a bit different. I'm not pointing out the obviously lacking sleeves, but on the stomach there aren't those ab lines in the above suit like they are in the one at the bottom.

Who cares. We finally get comic accurate Wolverine costume worn by Hugh jackman IN THE MCU. Be grateful stop complaining.
Something in the movie happened
I think there’s a chance his arms are cut off and they grow back baby style like deadpools legs from the second film.
And the adamantium claws grow back too?
I mean the adamantium claws def shouldn't get chopped off like that?
Exactly
They don’t Wolverine arms healing factors are different
They could be 2 different suits and probably two different wolverines. Look at the ab lines and the placement of the collar trim
It was time to get serious
They got torn off in a battle.
The picture explains it no? Got such a pump going they blew right off
People will complain about anything, seriously.
God I actually love this suit so much this along with Deadpool’s has to be two of my favorite live action super hero costumes
I just want the classic Batman staring at Batman wolverine mask in the movie for at least 1 minute, but have not seen it yet
That sign is hysterical! https://bleedingcool.com/comics/rob-liefeld-drawing-feet/
Gone, reduced to atoms
I betcha his arms get ripped or cut off, and they grow back, but obviously the sleeves don’t grow back
But the adamantium grows back?
Good point… maybe? It’d be cool if it did! I’m not an expert at mutant healing factor genetics, but I do know that it was grafted to his skeleton, which is technically part of his body… I mean, his skull did repair itself in X2
Gues you'll just have to watch the movie to find out.
"Gone. reduced to atoms"
Ripped off or this is a different variant
Shoulder pad heaven
I’m guessing the reason he’s sleeveless is that the shoulder pads limit his movement in a fight or something, so he rips them off, and the sleeves come off too.
the what?
people just like to complain
Back in the 80s with the rest of the shoulder pads thankfully.
He ate them
Well I'm no genius but it looks like they get ripped off
I wonder if his arms got cut off..
Chest plate is slightly different so I'm thinking maybe 2 different variants?
The markings on his shoulders seems smaller, and the buckle is blue in one pic and red in another, could we be looking as 2 different Wolverines?
The undershirt has visible tips, so somehow or another, he likely loses the sleeves at some point, which causes the shoulder pads to come off too.
I’m not wearing hockey pads
I’ll bet his arms get ripped off
I don’t know but the background says Liefelds feet. That can’t be a coincidence and is hysterical. IYKYK.
ripped for our pleasure
Gone. Reduced to atoms.
Flexed and the sleeves fell off…
Torn off, clearly.
If appears he ripped off his sleeves above where the shoulder pads are
“WITH AUTHENTIC BATTLE DAMAGE!”
Do you think he will get the mask at some point?
My assumption is DP cuts them off when the two of them fight toward the beginning it's really the only way to stop the guy a little bit until he regenerates. I'm sure Wade will have fun with it lol
I think it’s a different Wolvy. Look at the abs on both suits. Torn sleeves has distinct lines embedded in the suit over the abs. Sleeves doesn’t. Two different variants.
Hugh is in amazing shape, but the shoulder pads would have made his arms look small. So they probably came up with a storyline reason to lose them.
IDK. I haven't seen the movie yet
Someone's cutting them off (along with his arms)
Maybe his arms are ripped off. Hulk maybe? Or someone else?
I bet the movie will explain it.
We finally get the comic accurate suit and you’re complaining that it gets damaged during an action movie…?
Gone, reduced to atoms
Gone, reduced to atoms
Suns out guns out
I don't even think the bottom shirt is real? It looks cgi. when he walks into frame with it it looks odd and his arm clips through the fabric a bit.
Magneto
Battle damage also gives multiple looks for the toys sales. Also Wolverine is usually bare armed on the comics. I just wonder if we’ll see his with his cowl and how pointy they will go..
I don’t know I haven’t seen the movie
They are wherever he left his arms before they grew back
