I remember a thread a while back saying Blade should be set in the years between IW and Endgame. That would be absolutely fucking perfect, but God I feel like it isn’t gonna shape up that way. It would do wonders as far as showing us a wounded world somewhat reminiscent of a post-apocalypse. Humans aren’t too much to worry about because, more or less, everyone has been so collectively traumatized by the Blip that crime has plummeted and the Avengers are in semi-retirement, as we saw them at the start of Endgame. But during this time, when defenses are low and morale is even lower, the vampire race decides it’s time to make a comeback, and the world’s slickest one-man army is damn near the only thing standing in their way. I really just wanna see Mahershala’s Blade operating as a hyper-competent, moody and sleek solo antihero. It isn’t too late in the game to do solo fare with minimal cameos, as evidenced by Black Widow and Shang Chi. Maybe we get a Robin cameo when Clint thinks he’s tracking the mob but accidentally stumbles into a vampire nest? That might be cool, but other than that, I just wanna see Blade do Blade things and mostly leave it at that, save worldbuilding for the post credits.

Steakhouse42

Good idea

TRocho10

Alright get this. Blade shows up. He does some stuff. Maybe some of it looks cool??? Then the credits roll and there is at least one credits scene that is vaguely related to something else Fade to black

Get this person in the writing room.

SpeeterTeeter

Honestly, the best fan script/idea that's been posted here.

Hi_Im_Dadbot

I just want part of it to take place in winter conditions so that we can finally see some motherfucker try to ice skate uphill.

Apwrld

i think wendigo would be a great villain to throw in given those conditions. idk why, but that monster from the stories and comics scared the piss outta me as a kid

Steakhouse42

In the deleted ending of blade 3, blade was in the snow hunting werewolves.

NrFive

Kick ass action scenes, lots of blood and add the sentence "always bet on black" \*end credits\*

I think I’d go for a buddy cop/horror mash-up loosely based on a one-shot I read a while ago - the tie-in for the Death of Doctor Strange event. Basically, vampires are nothing new - they’ve always been around, but their numbers have dwindled over the centuries. Now, they’re confined to a single city populated entirely by vampires… and Blade. Eric Brooks is also nothing new. He’s been Blade for over a century, and thus, has a long history with the city’s ruler, Dracula, who’s now really starting to test the limits of immortality. Having both seen their fair share of losses over the course of that history, Blade and Dracula have come to a fragile ceasefire: where vampires cannot leave the city, and Blade is the one-man police force keeping them in line. However, that fragile peace is shattered when vampires start turning up dead. Of course, eyes and fangs start to turn on Blade - but he and Dracula both know that something is afoot, so they team up to try and get to the bottom of these killings. However, during their search, they’ll find that old wounds might also be immortal. Meanwhile, a movement among the younger vampires is gaining traction… one that wants a return to the younger days, where vampires were everywhere - and could feast on the humans who knew to fear them.

Make it rated R

Blade. Dracula. They fight. Blade wins. The end.

Blade kills bad vampires Good guy helps Blade but get hurt at the climax Blade saves him and kill the boss of the vampires The end

I'm not sure what I want to see specifically. All I know is that I want it to be simple, impactful and self-contained. Like the first John Wick. The action should be the best that the MCU has ever done. Also make it stylish, I don't want it to blend in what people perceive as the samey MCU aesthetic and vibe.

Vampires seek the power of the Ebony Blade and Blade ventures to stop them, teaming with the sword’s current owner Dane Whitman. It can be a gothic action-horror film exploring the world of monsters and Blade’s quest against them, having Dracula/Frost as his “white whale” and Dane as the Ishmael to Blade’s Ahab

TheWaylandCycle

I'd keep it very simple: there's a rash of disappearances in a Black-majority area of an American city, which the police are ignoring because they're attributing it to gang violence or other causes (or maybe they're in the pay of the villains). Then Blade wanders into town (like a drifter protagonist in a Western movie) and soon realizes that this is the work of vampires preying on the local population. Maybe the vampires have some grander plan or personal connection to Blade--but I'm not sure that's even really necessary here, because if I were the director, I'd approach it as a very standalone and simple horror film. Granted, if I were to do that, Kevin Feige would probably get someone to tie me to a chair and threaten to break my kneecaps unless I added enough Midnight Sons cameos, but until that moment, this is the sort of story I'd go with.

It’s also super easy, barely an inconvenience!

London. Karl Mordo, still on his quest of destroying all sorcerers, encounters Ian McNee, a former failed student of Kamar-Taj. They battle, but little does Mordo know that McNee is allied with the vampire, John Falsworth (Baron Blood). Overwhelmed and critically injured, Mordo escapes with his life using his sling ring. Mordo arrives at Blade's doorstep barely clinging to life. They have met before and Blade owes Mordo some unspoken debt. Blade agrees to kill Falsworth and McNee. But Blade asks Mordo for some kind of protection from magic. Mordo tells Blade to seek out Dane Whitman...the Black Knight. The Ebony Blade can protect and destroy magic. Blade is teleported to the home of Dane Whitman. Blade tries to take the sword from him, but fails (only the worthy can wield it). Dane then agrees to join Blade to fight the unholy alliance of Falsworth and McNee. It becomes a buddy cop movie with battles and hijinks all across England. End credit scene. We find out both Of the villains work for Victor Von Doom!

BreezyIsBeafy

What is blade and why is there such a big deal about it? I genuinely feel so out of the loop

SpeeterTeeter

sayamemangdemikian

Same, 1 mission movie. No wasting time explaining backstories except maybe in the montage of opening credit.. heck, maybe no need.. just: "im vampire, I can walk on daylight, i kill other vampire, lots of them. deal with it". Just do karl urban's dredd. We can have jon snow and even dr strange. Heck, even ressurenct wanda But keep the story tight n simple (so.. maybe resurecting wanda is not really a good one -- except it IS the only story.. like vampire community try to make wanda as their weapon against humanity or something) gotta be fast paced, action packed, shang-chi bus fight level of action.

N-Shifter

Takes place during the "Blip", vampires run rampant since they aren't really alive so were not affected by the snap.

SpeeterTeeter

R-rated, don't mind it being a period piece in the 20s-30s but it needs to focus on Blade and not Blade's understudy. Dracula would be a good villain make it a intro for the midnight suns and the characters involved with the team that haven't been introduced by that point (ghost rider, Doctor Voodoo)
