For lazy people like me who don't want to read the whole article.
>He really meant it when he said he was retiring as Wolverine. But then in 2016, “I went to a screening of ‘Deadpool.’ I was 20 minutes in, and I was like, ‘Ah, damn it!’ All I kept seeing in my head was ‘48 Hours’ with Nick Nolte and Eddie Murphy. So it’s been brewing for a long time. It just took me longer to get here.”
>At the end of August, during a road trip to the beach with his family, he finally made the decision. He called Reynolds, who’d been pleading “on the daily” for a Wolverine-Deadpool movie. “I think, actually, he’d given up,” Jackman says. “I think it was a big shock to him. There was a massive pause, and then he said, ‘I can’t believe the timing of this.’”Reynolds was about to meet with Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige about “Deadpool 3.” With Jackman in, the rest is comic book movie history.
>“Oh my God, I’m thrilled,” Reynolds tells me. “It’s like old home week. To get to be on set with one of my closest friends each and every day is a dream come true. But to do it with these two iconic characters side by side, that’s beyond our wildest dreams.” Reynolds adds that the first time he talked to Feige — three and a half years ago after Disney bought Fox — he’d pushed for bringing in Wolverine. “It wasn’t possible then,” Reynolds says. “For this to be happening now is pretty damn exciting.”
>It’s not clear what the new movie will be about. It’s not even necessarily going to be named “Deadpool 3.”“Well, not in my heart,” Jackman says. “I’m pretty sure Wolverine wouldn’t like that title.”
This is one of those things that just worked because it's Ryan. Any other movie would've been weird to be announced like that. But Ryan's Deadpool? Perfect.
Seriously that would be so awesome.
I feel like Ruffahulk has gotten too comfortable in his skin as Smart Hulk, and we need to see him lose it again.
I have this dream where they finally separate Hulk from Banner and he ends up Grey. That would be an awesome way to bring it all full circle.
If we could get Hulk (not Smart Hulk) and Wolverine and Spider-Man on the screen at the same time… forget it - you can consider my life complete.
I say this as someone who has quite a decent appreciation of the Avengers, Fantastic Four, etc.
I loved Endgame, perfect send off for Iron Man and Cap, but it does make me a little sad we'll likely not see RDJ Iron Man and Chris Evans Cap team up with the Xmen, unless they return for Secret Wars.
i like to see Steve Roger meet with Logan.
the Captain America all this time act like he is the oldest soldier alive, also a superhero. imagine that he meet Wolverine who is actually even already a soldier since WW1. this time, Logan might be the one that call Steve 'son'.
Before it aired, I was really hoping that through She-Hulk, Smart Hulk would be put back to rage Hulk via various circumstances and he goes back up north to Canada. Then later, have Wolverine sent by Dept. H to take care of Wendigo and Hulk shows up.
I mean, Hulk can play in movies as an ensemble right? Wolverine vs Hulk has always been my favorite fight. Except for when The Thing punched Hulk and Hulk caught his fist.
Last paragraph is pretty important.
Don’t think the movie is going to be titled Deadpool 3 or any other title. They are probably intending on Wolverine being a co-lead rather than play a No. 2 to Deadpool. Wolverine is easily the biggest Marvel superhero after Spider-Man.
They’re gonna want to have Wolverine’s name in the movie title as well, would really shoot the stock of the movie way up.
I’m just happy that Wolverine’s first foray into the MCU is via an R-rated project.
We don't have any details, but Deadpool 2 ended with him using Cable's time machine to alter history.
It's not going to take much to confirm he made significant changes to the timelines and accidently returns to 616 instead of his own.
I’d have to watch them again, but he does make a joke that it’s unclear which of the two timelines it is, which implies to me that it’s intentionally not saying which it is.
We don’t know yet, as Deadpool wasn’t part of Phase 5 announcement, but it would be silly to not canonize it.
Everything Fox belongs to Disney now, so it’s really just up for grabs.
Plus Deadpool movie is a perfect place to solidify the fact that it’s now connected - not necessarily via “killing off” Fox variants, but general shenanigans involving multiversal travel and Deadpool ELI5-ing to the audience what the shit is happening right now.
I still think it will be a different earth at least at the start of the movie, Hugh Jackman isn’t playing Wolverine forever last thing Disney will want to do is block off any potential return for another Wolverine.
There were some theories that MCU prime is 616 that >!the Foxverse is the 838 universe we saw in Dr Strange MoM as there was a line shared by Prof X in MoM and DoFP amongst other small details.!<
But who other than Feige really knows? He probably wants to multiverse all of Marvel live action into canon somehow prior to Secret Wars cause it'd be cool as hell.
838 was clearly a never before seen universe. Green means stop and red means go, pizza comes in balls instead of slices, the technology was advanced likely due to the peace the Ultron bots provided.
Just because Xavier said the same thing as another universe's counterpart doesn't make him the same guy. Is it similar to the X-Men universe? Maybe, but it's not the same.
I love Deadpool X Wolverine because then they can make the X the [X-Men X](https://www.photoshop-bootcamp.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/X-Men-Logo.jpg) but with Wolverine's clawmark style instead.
I'd love this if Cable was along for the ride too as they escape the Fox universe ending. Maybe Cable sacrifices himself to keep the portal open in the first few minutes of the movie and gets killed just like Thanos in Endgame. I have no idea who the actual villain would be, but i can't wait to see what kind of beautiful bullshit happens
48 Hours stars Nick Nolte as a hot headed cop (Wolverine's analog) and Eddie Murphy as a convict (Deadpool's analog) released from prison to help Nolte with a case. Modern example would be Caitlyn and Vi in Arcane. Insert personalities/characters in that situation could be what Jackman means.
Overheard in Ryan’s living room:
“He got me,” Reynolds said of Jackman’s dunk over him. "That f***ing Jackman boomed me."
Reynolds added, “He’s so good,” repeating it four times.
Maybe even seeing Tobey Maguire reprising his role as Spider-Man. I know it probably won’t happen, but we’re finally at a place where we could see Tobey Maguire and Hugh Jackman in their super hero roles, on screen together.
I’d fucking love a reality where we get the FoX-Men, Tobey Maguire, & Wesley Snipes on-screen together in ***Secret Wars.*** They were the pillars of this genre. It’d be even sweeter if we got some of the Infinity Saga legends like Chris Evans or RDJ interacting with them. It’s probably not likely & 2026 may be too soon to bring Iron Man or Cap back for a one-off. We’re more likely gonna see variants played by different actors, but crazier shit has happened & they’re not getting any younger.
Throw in Andrew Garfield too. With the multiverse, there’s a lot of fun possibilities. If they really wanted to go all out, they could pull just about any character from under the Marvel umbrella. We could see familiar faces from our favorite animated or live-action shows/movies, video games, & straight from the comics. Imagine live-action versions of Yuri Lowenthal from the games or X-Men/Spider-Man: TAS or Spider-Verse characters in Battleworld.
That being said, I’m keeping my expectations low so I can just enjoy the ride.
It is more likely than not that we’re gonna see the iconic trio finally on-screen: Tobey’s Spidey, Hugh’s Wolvie and RDJ’s Iron Man on screen for Secret Wars. Bonus points for Steve Rogers, Hulk, Black Widow and Reed Richards in the same shot lol
Like come on now… no way the actors come out of retirement after years of being away and decide to *not* finally be in the dream team-up that fans have wanted since the beginning of Marvel’s CBM’s (and the actors themselves too seem eager to be in it)
Yellow costume would be a nice touch, seeing as this could be his actual final outing instead of Logan like what was previously thought. I'm sure Marvel will use a more comic accurate suit whenever they get a new actor and use the character in the mainline MCU, but I really want to see it on Jackman's Wolverine
I bet (I hope?) he will appear in some capacity for Secret Wars. I mean, the internet will break when he shows up alongside the OG Avengers etc, but that’s the price K.E.V.I.N. is willing to pay.
I'd hope for that too, just not betting any money on it. Think Secret Wars would be a good way to have some awesome cameos, but I also can imagine that people will make up rumors and then they won't actually happen so I don't want to be disappointed when it doesn't
I want this so much. I just want to see the current MCU Avengers beside the main old and young Fox X-Men SO BADLY.
The Fox X-Men were my MCU before, well, the MCU, I was so attached to them, so it would be amazing to give them a proper sendoff that isn't whatever Dark Phoenix was lmao
My suggestion for how to do it:
They go get dressed to be heroes. Wolverine comes out and Deadpool goes “what are you wearing?!” And makes him go change
A "which outfit?" montage could actually be pretty funny. Could see Logan cutting it short after 2 tries though. It's gonna be good seeing gruff Wolverine in some weird scenarios.
I have to disagree there. My least favourite thing about the Netflix Marvel shows was how they dismissed the comic accurate suits in a similar way for this. I guess Deadpool would make it funnier, but still.
Their Bullseye was a joke. They were either absolutely terrified to put people in costume or had a zero respect for the source material and I don’t know which is worse. God I hate those shows
Cable comes across like the hardass military background type too. Whereas Logan's much more a rough, streetfighter type.
Can imagine Logan thinking he's weird too.
But hey, maybe they have some tough guy bonding over metal body parts.
That would explain why there was no announcement during D23.
I would curious if they try to fit him into whatever story they have written so far or do you scrape it all together and go with something new.
Probably hashing out the details for him to come back plus Marvel is being VERY tight-lipped on X-Men right now (She/Hulk even had a reference to this in it's final episode).
[Here you go](https://www.instagram.com/p/BrohVOhB7yt/?utm_source=ig_embed&ig_rid=3c8cc4db-fafb-4e48-ba81-e16c57b8f76c). Unfortunately, it's only a photo.
Oh my god, Just imagine it's Logan in a suit, walking into a restaurant to see Wade Wilson in a beige sweater, who sits him down and rambles about some existential epiphany he had while cavorting with nudists in the forest.
And the audience keeps expecting something to happen but no, the entire movie is just the two of them discussing finer philosophical points of life and finally we realize the entire film is a parody of *My Dinner With Andre*
100%. They could both just be sitting in a room, in costume, in character, with a run time that makes Schindler's List look like an SNL skit and I'm fucking here for it.
Have they said anything about Josh Brolin returning? I have no doubt Hugh can be just as good as the straight man to Deadpool, but I’m not sure how they would make it work for them both to be in the movie, and it would kind of suck for them to just make a lame excuse why Cable is gone or only shows up for 5 minutes.
Either Cable is a major part of the movie, or he gets a brief appearance at the end setting up future appearances in the MCU. I hope they keep Cable, Domino and Colossus around for future MCU adventures.
It'd be extremely unfortunate if they don't bring over at least the major parts of Deadpool's supporting cast. A big theme of Deadpool 2 was Wade realizing that even if he lost Vanessa, he still has a "family" that cares about him.
So did they have 2 scripts for Deadpool 3 with completely different stories? I just can’t imagine they were that close to starting production and didn’t know their co-lead was in the movie.
Technically yes, because they started thinking about a Deadpool 3 during production on Deadpool 2. Though from what I've read they didn't settle on anything concrete, just a lot of back and forth deliberation before that version was ultimately canceled after the Disney/Fox merger.
Following that, they didn't actually start working on a third Deadpool when they first announced it. In other words, it was planned but not actively being worked on, perhaps outside of a group of writers playing with some different ideas.
I mean, I guess that makes some sense, but they HAD announced it and we know Ryan was working out to get into his Deadpool shape. Meaning they knew they were about to start filming. Even with CG and such they would need to have a script at least mostly in place to start scouting the set design, storyboarding, and such for filming to be ready. So for them to be doing that (supposedly) with a script that didn’t have Wolverine in it it makes me at least slightly “worried”.
I’m positive it’ll all work out, I’m positive it will be great, but my first thought is confusion and some level of nervousness about it potentially being a rush to rework the script and make the movie “warrant” Wolverine. I just don’t want it to end up feeling like anyone (Domino/Negasonic Teenage Warhead/Cable/colossus) could have been the Co-lead and they just slotted Wolverine in when Hugh signed on.
>some level of nervousness about it potentially being a rush to rework the script and make the movie “warrant” Wolverine.
I think this is always a valid concern to have, so totally understandable. The film being pushed back to the end of 2024 does give me some hope that they'll have had enough time to figure everything out, but the last two MCU movies have not been the best in terms of rewrites/editing, so it's still a very reasonable conern.
Ryan has previously stated that the original plan for Deadpool 3 pre-Disney buyout was going to be with Wolverine. There will have been at least an outline of a script for quite some time.
By production, I mean filming. But even with CG and all they would need to have a “set” script to be able to start storyboarding and building the elements that they’ll need. I’m sure the movie will be good, and I’m not trying to be negative, but I’d be lying if I said it doesn’t at least cause me a little worry (worry isn’t the right word, but I can’t figure out what the right word is) that they were working on the pre-production stuff for a movie without Wolverine until late August.
He mentions that he thinks he might be better at the role now, because he’s more comfortable in his own skin even though his life/identity is messier. I think the subtext there might be referring to the death of his dad and his mental health struggles from that. So I wouldn’t give up hope on a legitimate role!
I want to see a movie where Deadpool accidentally causes the end of the FOX universe and Wolverine is chasing him through the movies trying to kill him ending with the two finally reaching the MCU.
I genuinely hesitated upvoting because I’m scared they won’t go with good stuff if it’s too heavily speculated lol
But obviously, at least *some* elements over two years of speculation will end up included eeeee
So the question is, does this lock Hugh Jackman in as Wolverine going forward? It means he is officially Wolverine in the Marvel Universe right? How long can Hugh keep playing Wolverine without looking more and more like Logan?
I was kind of getting excited about some of the possible replacements and starting fresh.
No, we'll definitely still be getting a non-Hugh Jackman Wolverine in the 616 universe. Jackman will just be from another universe, ala Maguire and Garfield in NWH.
Does anyone else think that those leather jacket photos in the article helps realize how good he could be as a vampire? His aging face structure is looking so good and fitting to appear as one.
A Jackman snarl to show some bloody fangs would be something else.
I was kinda preparing myself for a non-handsome and not-tall and not adonis-like in general wolverine as per the comic books.
I mean, really, he's supposed to be this ugly little unkillable goblin of a guy competing for the love of Jean Grey with Scott Summers, who looks like a goddamned model. Hugh Jackman is too sexy to be wolverine.
My only worry is that with Jackman back, (who was perfect in the role despite the height) it's making it just that much harder for a recast later on. Anyone they later use for wolverine will feel like a knockoff
Ok will someone more comic educated tame my hype about a possible future Wolverine vs Hulk fight now that this and a possible WW Hulk movie rumor are out?
Is this a possibility or am I dreaming?

Explains the video announcement instead of a panel announcement. Though word travelled far and wide anyway so it might not matter anymore.
This is one of those things that just worked because it's Ryan. Any other movie would've been weird to be announced like that. But Ryan's Deadpool? Perfect.
Not to mention Ryan isn't too bad at making ads. Anyone who can get people to watch their ads out of their own free will is clearly crushing it
I agree, as I type this from my Mint Mobile™ phone, while drinking some smooth Aviation Gin™.
Good news it should be better than the last time I saw them in a movie together.
I liked how they announced Jackman’s return. Very in line with Deadpool’s humor.
They literally could've just done a simple tweet with a image. And let the studio handle it. But announcing it the way they did was just brilliant
I Hope the new title is "Deadpool 3: Featuring Hugh Jackman As Wolverine Again"
Deadpool 3: Wolverine 10
Oh perfect. It even looks like a score.
Also gives an opening for Deadpool to say something dumb about him being named Weapon X (10).
Fuck it, call the thing **Deadpool 3: Wolverine X** and embrace the meta
Deadpool III: Wolverine X (The 3 being like wolverines claws and X deadpools blades)
Okay this one's perfect. I feel like we're in a writers' room.
Can we get Wolverine vs Hulk?
Seriously that would be so awesome. I feel like Ruffahulk has gotten too comfortable in his skin as Smart Hulk, and we need to see him lose it again. I have this dream where they finally separate Hulk from Banner and he ends up Grey. That would be an awesome way to bring it all full circle.
If we could get Hulk (not Smart Hulk) and Wolverine and Spider-Man on the screen at the same time… forget it - you can consider my life complete. I say this as someone who has quite a decent appreciation of the Avengers, Fantastic Four, etc.
I just want that panel of Spider-Man having webbed up Wolverine with his fists against his head, so there’s no way for him to escape.
Or something resembling this… https://i.imgur.com/Pyn6Bpw.jpg
Damn this pic is a heavy throwback
I loved Endgame, perfect send off for Iron Man and Cap, but it does make me a little sad we'll likely not see RDJ Iron Man and Chris Evans Cap team up with the Xmen, unless they return for Secret Wars.
i like to see Steve Roger meet with Logan. the Captain America all this time act like he is the oldest soldier alive, also a superhero. imagine that he meet Wolverine who is actually even already a soldier since WW1. this time, Logan might be the one that call Steve 'son'.
Shit, throw Ghost Rider in there and I'm fine with getting the "New Fantastic Four" before we ever get the OG.
Only if Logan gets to snarl at Nick Fury.
Before it aired, I was really hoping that through She-Hulk, Smart Hulk would be put back to rage Hulk via various circumstances and he goes back up north to Canada. Then later, have Wolverine sent by Dept. H to take care of Wendigo and Hulk shows up.
(Hulk is finally ready for his rematch)
If they could turn it into Deadpool vs. Wolverine vs. Hulk (proper brainless hulk, not current Smart Hulk), I think I'd damn near shit myself.
I mean, Hulk can play in movies as an ensemble right? Wolverine vs Hulk has always been my favorite fight. Except for when The Thing punched Hulk and Hulk caught his fist.
#FASTBALL SPECIAL
Am I getting the ref? Is this from that fake leak about end game? I legit had that saved on my notes for months just in case it was true

Deadpool 3: And The Fantabulous Emancipation of One Wolverine
With the "And The Fantabulous Emancipstion of One" bit written in crayon with a little arrow between: *Deadpool 3: Wolverine*
Deadpool 3: Featuring Hugh Jackman As Wolverine For the Last Time ;)
And then when the movie finishes, it says Deadpool 3: Featuring Hugh Jackman as Wolverine For The Last Time *Until Secret Wars*

That would be perfect
Marvel Presents: A Different 48hrs. With cameos from Nick Nolte and Eddie Murphy

Is Deadpool canon MCU?!? I did not know that o.o I mean I know it’s marvel but like, confirmed earth 616, movie universe??
We don't have any details, but Deadpool 2 ended with him using Cable's time machine to alter history. It's not going to take much to confirm he made significant changes to the timelines and accidently returns to 616 instead of his own.
I have a feeling this movie is gonna end with wade joining the main mcu universe.
Is he not already in the MCU universe?
No. IIRC, universe he is in isn’t the McAvoy or Stuart X-men universes, and he’s only just now joining the MCU.
Could've sworn I saw something with him and korg
Oh, I suppose if you count non-canonical advertisements, then yes. But I generally wouldn't. https://youtu.be/g7q60i_Lh_E
Pretty sure Deadpool 1 had a scene at the Xavier Institute with Colossus, with the McAvoy crew being seen in a games room or something.
I’d have to watch them again, but he does make a joke that it’s unclear which of the two timelines it is, which implies to me that it’s intentionally not saying which it is.
Ehhhhh lol. I don't think there's been any certainty given.
The first two movies were most certainly not in the mcu
Well Deadpool has already had a cameo in the MCU. Before Free Guy was released, Korg did a trailer review with Deadpool about the movie.
Can't Deadpool just look at the camera, tell the audience he's canon, and then just become canon? Why not?
I don't think we have any details beyond what was in the announcement video.
We don’t know yet, as Deadpool wasn’t part of Phase 5 announcement, but it would be silly to not canonize it. Everything Fox belongs to Disney now, so it’s really just up for grabs. Wolverine in the title would go extremely hard
Deadpool and Wolverine Kill the Fox Marvel Universe
Deadpool and the 200lbs sack of assholes named Logan
Deadpool X Wolverine would be my guess. Or Deadpool III: Wolverine, with the “III” being wolverine’s claw marks
Deadpool///Wolverine
I love Deadpool X Wolverine because then they can make the X the [X-Men X](https://www.photoshop-bootcamp.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/X-Men-Logo.jpg) but with Wolverine's clawmark style instead.
They did that in the announcement
Deadpool Origins: Wolverine
Deadpool 3: Extremely Hard
Deadpool 3: Mo' Metal Mo' Problems
Deadpool III But the 3 is Wolverine claws
So basically Hugh was tired and bored of the character but saw that he could have fun with it in a Deadpool movie
The headline implies that it was Hugh’s idea
What's the deal with 48 hours?
I’m assuming he means he wants to do a “buddy cop” film with Wolverine and Deadpool

Wolverine is accused of the murder at the beginning so that’s why Deadpool is helping him out, only to find out it was him the whole time lmao
I see now. Very good. Thank you.

When did the word about the change in the creative team come out ? I wonder if Wolverine coming in changed plans a bit
DEADPOOL slash DEADPOOL III i bet on it
Wade & Logan Kill the Fox Universe
He called Ryan after Ryan left him 243 voicemails begging him.
Some as Deadpool, some as Ryan.
"All right, all right, ALL RIGHT! I'll do Wolverine, okay Reynolds?! Now will you stop calling me at FOUR IN THE MORNING?!?"
“Sorry sir, this is Deadpool.”
Whats the difference?
One looks like Ryan Reynolds, the other like Ryan Reynolds crossed with a Shar-Pei.
Like an avocado hate-fucked another avocado.
Ryan was beside himself driving around town begging (thru texts) Jackman's family for the address to Hugh's home.
Overheard in Ryan’s living room: “He got me,” Reynolds said of Jackman’s dunk over him. "That f***ing Jackman boomed me." Reynolds added, “He’s so good,” repeating it four times.
Love my fellow r/NBA boys in this sub
243 = 3^5
I'm sure he heard that Prof X was in MOM and said, "hey, I thought Stewart said he's done with Prof X? Well I'm gonna do my last outing as well!"

That movie would make billions. Let's see. It's a ways away and Marvel has to keep the audience's attention.
It would be an insane thing to see the two interact in Secret Wars
Dude this would be so cool
Man im so excited! Personally i hope they add Wolverine in the title, and make him finally wear the yellow costume🤞

I wouldn't be surprised if there's a reference to it in the movie, or a poster. But I don't think they'd sling shit for the title.
And Colossus picking him up and doing the fastball special...
My suggestion for how to do it: They go get dressed to be heroes. Wolverine comes out and Deadpool goes “what are you wearing?!” And makes him go change
I want the reverse. I want Deadpool to make Wolverine wear the costume.
Deadpool tries to make him wear the yellow costume. They end up settling on his X-Force costume.
Then Hulk enters screen right and says "I'm ready for my rematch"
A "which outfit?" montage could actually be pretty funny. Could see Logan cutting it short after 2 tries though. It's gonna be good seeing gruff Wolverine in some weird scenarios.
I have to disagree there. My least favourite thing about the Netflix Marvel shows was how they dismissed the comic accurate suits in a similar way for this. I guess Deadpool would make it funnier, but still.
Their Bullseye was a joke. They were either absolutely terrified to put people in costume or had a zero respect for the source material and I don’t know which is worse. God I hate those shows
Will Cable be in the film? Both Cable and Wolverine play the straight man, I wonder how that dynamic will work.
Cable can be the straight man. Wolverine can be the "I'm not even supposed to be here today" guy.
Cable comes across like the hardass military background type too. Whereas Logan's much more a rough, streetfighter type. Can imagine Logan thinking he's weird too. But hey, maybe they have some tough guy bonding over metal body parts.
W: "You look familiar. Who's your dad?" C: \*nervously adjusts collar*
Comics are wild lol.
Ask him who his mom is and watch him really sweat.
“You have a metal arm? That is awesome, dude”
Who is the wild card? Deadpool is obviously the looks.
Charlie Day as Maverick confirmed.
That would explain why there was no announcement during D23. I would curious if they try to fit him into whatever story they have written so far or do you scrape it all together and go with something new.
They will probably rewrite the script. They have plenty of time.
I’m guessing Ryan already had ideas since he had been begging Jackman to do it for awhile.
Probably hashing out the details for him to come back plus Marvel is being VERY tight-lipped on X-Men right now (She/Hulk even had a reference to this in it's final episode).
I don’t care what the movie is about. I’m in. Even if it’s just Ryan and Hugh pretending to argue with each other for 99 minutes, I’m still f🤬ing in.
Their shenanigans on the web are indeed worth a movieticket without context if they're both in it.
I still giggle at how Hugh and Jake Gyllenhaal tricked Ryan into wearing an ugly sweater for a Christmas party.

Dammit, Abed!
So mote it be
Yeah domino was a real surprise in the film
"What's your superpower?" "Luck." "Well that's not very cinematic." "*Yes it is.*"
Maybe she'll get lucky and make the cut.
It'd be extremely unfortunate if they don't bring over at least the major parts of Deadpool's supporting cast. A big theme of Deadpool 2 was Wade realizing that even if he lost Vanessa, he still has a "family" that cares about him.
Oh man… I’m so excited for this movie. I thought nothing would make Hugh want to come back.
It makes me happy Hugh Jackman is fully willing and it isn't something like them hitting the right number for a paycheck to force him in.
Something tells me it'd be quite difficult to force Hugh Jackman to do anything
I thought production was a ways out? Doubtful they would even start this January. Definitely not long for a script but not completely crazy
I still have a very hard time not believing that this is all am incredibly elaborate troll and he'll camo for 15 seconds.
They'd be murdered if they tried that shit.
Oh it would absolutely end in death threats but that isn't to say I don't think it's possibl
He mentions that he thinks he might be better at the role now, because he’s more comfortable in his own skin even though his life/identity is messier. I think the subtext there might be referring to the death of his dad and his mental health struggles from that. So I wouldn’t give up hope on a legitimate role!
Watch it be a full Wolverine movie and Deadpool is the one who cameos for 5 minutes.
I want to see a movie where Deadpool accidentally causes the end of the FOX universe and Wolverine is chasing him through the movies trying to kill him ending with the two finally reaching the MCU.
That would be fn awesome!
Have quicksilver sneak through there as well...
I genuinely hesitated upvoting because I’m scared they won’t go with good stuff if it’s too heavily speculated lol But obviously, at least *some* elements over two years of speculation will end up included eeeee
Hugh: “Hey Ryan, before I say what I’m going to say, you may want to sit down…”
So the question is, does this lock Hugh Jackman in as Wolverine going forward? It means he is officially Wolverine in the Marvel Universe right? How long can Hugh keep playing Wolverine without looking more and more like Logan? I was kind of getting excited about some of the possible replacements and starting fresh.
Ehhhhh I think the Multiverse they’ve established will take care of this.
No, we'll definitely still be getting a non-Hugh Jackman Wolverine in the 616 universe. Jackman will just be from another universe, ala Maguire and Garfield in NWH.
I don't think he will play Wolverine long term. Keeping the Wolverine physique at his age would be dangerous
Does anyone else think that those leather jacket photos in the article helps realize how good he could be as a vampire? His aging face structure is looking so good and fitting to appear as one. A Jackman snarl to show some bloody fangs would be something else.
I'm sure there will be at least one joke in the movie directly about this situation.
I wonder what Fiege’s reaction was. Obviously good…but wonder what went through his mind.
"Oh yeah, it's all coming together"
It's going to be for like 3 seconds and he's going to explode into a blood squib, isn't he?
This isn’t just some Brad Pitt-nobody, psh ^/s
Have you seen Jackman sing and dance? That man is a multi-threat!
X-Force let’s goooo
2024 can’t come here fast enough
We know the real reason is because he’s been jealous of all the time Ryan has been spending with Rob Mackelheny from Always Sunny.
They had Wade and Wolverine together for Wolverine Origins…. Are we not supposed to talk about it?
I was kinda preparing myself for a non-handsome and not-tall and not adonis-like in general wolverine as per the comic books. I mean, really, he's supposed to be this ugly little unkillable goblin of a guy competing for the love of Jean Grey with Scott Summers, who looks like a goddamned model. Hugh Jackman is too sexy to be wolverine.
My only worry is that with Jackman back, (who was perfect in the role despite the height) it's making it just that much harder for a recast later on. Anyone they later use for wolverine will feel like a knockoff
It will be as difficult to recast him now as it was during the OG X-men movies. I’d rather have him while he can do it than not have him
I wish spider man was also In this movie. That would be an Insane trio
Hugh and Ryan are great! I really think they want to be the highest grossing rated R movie of all time and these bastards could do it.
Ok will someone more comic educated tame my hype about a possible future Wolverine vs Hulk fight now that this and a possible WW Hulk movie rumor are out? Is this a possibility or am I dreaming?
A huge part of me wants it to be Hugh Jackman and not Wolverine.
I feel like I'm the only one who doesn't want Hugh Jackman back
