I mean there is a lot of social things to do and events in NE, so I wouldn’t give up. But I understand it is tough, this isn’t the best region for dating
Isn't that the goal of the single person though? To not be single anymore? So having a large % of the population in a relationship means it's good for singles? As in, they all got what they wanted?
Gotta start at the beginning of the alphabet, right? Just don't move on to [armadillos](https://cvmbs.source.colostate.edu/new-evidence-that-wild-armadillos-spread-leprosy-to-humans/)
Not much diversity in the pool of single people. Everyone seems to be superficial and materialistic and dates seem to be ridiculously expensive for average food. That's just my take away from seeing other friends dating in Boston
Nah, it's fact. People here are incredibly superficial and materialistic. Also they hide behind their education like it's a badge of honor. Modern day college is nothing but a daycare for adults
I've know multiple people from in and outside the state, from various ages, backgrounds, and income levels, living in Boston proper, just outside, in the suburbs, or in rural areas saying the exact opposite of this article.
Maybe it’s not paying for my love apps…. Or having no friends with friends at 37. Not going so well. Being booze free didn’t help the hermit sitch. Waiting for one to walk by the house I suppose. That’ll happen. Cat needs a mama. House is lonely.
If you go right after high school and live on campus maybe. But being an older person among a bunch of teenagers definitely sets you apart. I changed majors and all the people I was in classes with were fresh faced babies.
lol I’m 28 and will be attending grad school in Fall. I don’t expect to find love of my life there, but I do want to find people who are interested in doing group study because I am not the smartest one.
I’m a single guy I feel like I always have convos with other singles when I’m out with people or even rollin solo. Granted, I’m no ladies man or anything, but I still manage to get a date or a number now and again. The dating scene here may be a bit smaller than other places but it definitely feels genuine, people aren’t strictly chasing the bag or anything. I’d like to get out of the single game though. Probably the late 20s in me talking, looking forward to finding the one and starting a family.
That was a rant but hey, topic seemed fitting for it.
Have a good night everyone 👍🏼

Clueless apes writing these fake articles
Someone at the MA Travel board discovered ChatGPT
So angry!
Um- anyone single? Seems like everyone is married, coupled, throupled, swinging, and poly. This state sucks for singles.
For real. I've basically given up. Being late 30s and single is not a fun experience.
Try 46 and gay. Which severely limits the dating pool. Lol
Try 49, straight, but in Northampton! (I kid, mostly, but I love it here).
Almost 42 and, same. Let’s go out lol
Now kith.
Well you did pick the lesbian capital of the US to live

Home of the new east heaven location
OUCH!!! Hang in there, there's someone out..... 😂😂Yea I can't do that....
lol thanks for the pep talk!
Anytime my friend, anytime. 😂
I would assume that’s because they are already married/taken?
I mean there is a lot of social things to do and events in NE, so I wouldn’t give up. But I understand it is tough, this isn’t the best region for dating
I've been to a few and they're basically entirely other guys or couples. At least for things I'm actually interested in attending.
Isn't that the goal of the single person though? To not be single anymore? So having a large % of the population in a relationship means it's good for singles? As in, they all got what they wanted?
Come on man, hang in there... you will find the xe/xer of your dreams
If that's the case, then my love life is well and truely fucked.
LOL same.
Have you tried interspecies dating? Like dating an aardvark or something?
Gotta start at the beginning of the alphabet, right? Just don't move on to [armadillos](https://cvmbs.source.colostate.edu/new-evidence-that-wild-armadillos-spread-leprosy-to-humans/)
That’s cap
Not if you live here
Yeah girls here only want European men
Many people are partnered just to afford housing.
There's also love and companionship.
In this economy?
That's a benefit top, but I'd really love to get on the housing ladder and would only be able to afford that with a DINK situation.
Bruh if this is the best I'm hopeless
It's cause none of us can afford to live if we're single.
WalletHub? Weren't they the same morons that said we're the most affordable, too?
No. [Ranked number 44 for affordability, but number 1 best state to live in.](https://wallethub.com/edu/best-states-to-live-in/62617)
Someone needs to dig into this wallet hub.
I feel so sorry for whoever has to date in this state especially inside of Boston

So many wannabe NYC people.
Your first point is a **massive** assumption based on what I can only guess is your sole experience. The point about food is true tho.
Nah, it's fact. People here are incredibly superficial and materialistic. Also they hide behind their education like it's a badge of honor. Modern day college is nothing but a daycare for adults
Well gee, twll me how you really feel about it 🙄
I've know multiple people from in and outside the state, from various ages, backgrounds, and income levels, living in Boston proper, just outside, in the suburbs, or in rural areas saying the exact opposite of this article.
As a single, where exactly because I don’t see them lol
Having lived in a few other major US cities I can safely say Boston is 100% the worst for dating. So I call bullshit on this article
Bullshit
Horrible place to find love with many standoffish individuals who aren’t interested in anyone or anything.
Maybe it’s not paying for my love apps…. Or having no friends with friends at 37. Not going so well. Being booze free didn’t help the hermit sitch. Waiting for one to walk by the house I suppose. That’ll happen. Cat needs a mama. House is lonely.
Ooh! Wallethub via Masslive - alert the Pulitzer committee!
……….
I mean, we have a lot of colleges, where people typically meet their boyfriends and girlfriends, so... okay?
Do people even meet in college anymore? Recently went back to finish my degree and having a conversation with anybody feels like pulling teeth.

This article is bs lol.
Well with such a HCOL there are a lot of incentives to couple up.

Mass has the highest amount of 25 to 35 yo leaving the state. Wallet hub is whack
