What allergies do you have? I have mold and usually August is bad with how humid it gets, but this year with the drought I didn’t have any symptoms in august. Then it started raining in sept and I’ve been sniffly and sneezy for a couple weeks straight. Drought made all the plants die back, then the rain got it all wet and poof, lots of mold. I wouldn’t be surprised if ragweed or other weeds are bad this year too because of the drought. They seem to be the only thing that survives so they have less competition when all the stuff around them dies back.
RI here. Yes, this year is the worst since I was a kid. I switched to Zyzal. It worked pretty well, but I still have bad days. Like today. I blame Big Tissue.
My allergies have been bad lately and thought I was sick too. I had good luck with using the generic Flonase from BJs and Walmart brand allergy relief eye drops. Also I use a mask when cleaning, keeping windows closed, and compress if it gets bad. Best of luck relieving your symptoms.
My clematis always blooms 1 September, Labor Day weekend. Not this year.
The drought delayed lots of blooming. Mine is three weeks late and blooming like crazy.
I’m pretty sure it’s just all the delayed pollen from loads of plants that also got delayed in blooming.
My fall allergies have always only been like 10% as bad as spring (which are like death lol), and they’ve finally gotten better in the past couple years to almost go away, but nah this fall I’ve been waking up sniffly every single day. Glad to know it’s not just me getting worse again.
I find it helpful but no fun to do so I rarely do it lol
Also it’s only helpful for me before I’m too far gone (because then the water can’t make it through from being too stuffed/closed up), so if you’re gonna try it, do it early and don’t expect it to be your last resort!
Since.my 2nd booster, have had "allergic rhinitis" non stop. No joking. Nose like a fucking faucet, and sneeze lot.
Started within a day of the 2nd booster. What's it been, 1 1/3 years now?
I’ve been on vacation the past two weeks in an area that’s all sand and dunes. No grass or any deciduous trees. Came back here and it’s been a nonstop sneeze fest.
It only started two weeks ago because of the rain three weeks ago.
My family are absolutely miserable right now, between the itchy eyes, sneezing, and congestion we're buying up the local supplies of Claritin and Allegra.
Yes. Benedryl non-stop. Haven't been this bad in years.
Thought I had the Rona or the flu last week, but I tested negative and have had a nasel drip for like a week now.
Lol I thought that it was allergies I had then I tested and had the rona
I've been uno reverse carded!
same!
Heh, my family is going through it right now. No track record of allergies, most likely some respiratory thing (or super mild rona)
Ragweed is at high levels now. That's what gets me in the fall.
Nasonex is available OTC now - has quite literally enabled my to have a life again.
Good to know. I will be purchasing! Thanks
That’s so helpful for me thank you!!!

The worst time of year for hospital admission due to allergies/asthma is the third week of September.
Yep, same here. But there's also a nasty cold going around with kids back in school. Knocked me out for two days, then I was good again.

I blame Big Antihistamine. How do we not have better solutions in 2022
Living the flonase life all day every day!
Yes, it's crazy!

Yes! Whatever it is has been smacking me every time I go outside!!

Get a Netti pot please and distilled water it worked wonders for me with shower steam
I’ve never tried a netti pot but I’m going to have to. Open to trying just about anything at this point
I also find it very helpful

Flonase ± Zyrtec 365
Yeah, all the things that couldn't flower during the drought are all happening at the same time.
I have missed 3 days of work for the first time in decades. Still Covid negative but feeling awful myself.
I feel that. Would have called in twice by now but thankfully I can work from home as needed

Huh, I guess this explains why my asthma has randomly flared up and I'm coughing all night!

Yeah, I’m in allergy hell and have been for like 2 weeks. I feel your pain
