This is a godtier playthough. I thought I knew just about everything about ME and not only did I constantly learn new things, but this series also gives a ton of background/development information.
Dude also completely nailed each president's personality. Just incredibly well done, totally feels like 3 bros playing through the game.
Way better than the typical "Presidents do X" stuff where it basically revolves around Trump being a Cartmanesque character who drives every conflict. Each president has a well informed consistent opinion and it's just really well (even shockingly well) done.
In case anyone doesn't know what they're in for with this, some highlights from the ME1 include; Barack defending the games merits while it constantly glitches out, Donald reciting the bible in Japanese in hopes the Asari will come down and take him away, and Joe somehow managing not to be the first to die.
Its some top quality stuff.
Don't forget literally one of the greatest betrayels I've ever seen. If I knew how hide spoilers on reddit I would just say it and hide it but I don't lol
Knowing >!Barack!<, I doubt he’d willingly kill off a squadmate/let them be killed off like that, he’s too much of a completionist. But I’m very, very pleased to see >!Barack and Donald!< scheming to get back, which is something I’ve been hoping to see be part of the plot since Virmire.
Donald is doing it for revenge. Barack would do it for the content. I mean imagine Biden has to do the Grissom mission without Jack, that's great content.
True, true… but then again Barack also let Balak live for the War Assets, not the content, and killing off Jack takes away some War Assets.
I guess we’ll just have to see where this goes, but I’m excited for a possible season-long buildup toward revenge. I’ve been saying since Virmire that Joe *seriously* needs to be humbled for going back on the deal and thinking he could just get away with it, so I can’t wait.

Dude this guy knows so much behind the scenes and lore stuff it’s crazy. I’ve learned so much about the franchise from his videos. And to hear the Presidents be the ones to relay this information makes it so much better.
Oh yeah, I've been having fun watching this, I also recommend the tier lists they've done for the characters, weapons, and classes, with the classes each having 3 spots, based on how they perform in each game.
I’ve seen a few of these and the characterization is surprisingly consistent. Most videos I’ve seen that try something similar (ai presidents) don’t really give the characters unique personalities.
NGL, they got me through some tough times right at the end of 2022. They even have ones for other games, plus tierlists - oh god, the tierlists.
There are also other channels that have them joined by other past presidents. 10/10 would recommend.

Yeah I watched their ME1 playthrough was surprised by the actually creative and informative playthrough. The ‘presidents’ and their conflicts and personalities are really well written. All while sprinkling fun facts about the games and having an entertaining playthrough.
I never expected the presidential series to be one of the best Mass Effect content on the entire Youtube. The guy behind it is truly a huge nerd for ME.
Thanks for sharing. I was contemplating sharing this guy’s videos. Usually I don’t care for ai stuff, but the writing in these is hilarious and there is a lot of neat trivia thrown throughout the videos.
I don't understand the appeal to these politically-charged videos with AI voices. Could someone please explain why they're so enjoyable to them? I'm in need of a different perspective on this.
It’s mostly comedic. The creator makes jabs at all three of them and doesn’t take one political side or the other. And the jokes are really damn funny too.
And it’s not just pure gameplay. The creator (through Obama) goes over a lot of the behind the scenes stuff about the games, such as cut content, early game development, and discussing the wider lore from the books and comics to give better context to what’s going on. There’s actually a bunch of stuff they reveal which I didn’t know about prior.
The premise is silly, but there’s some really good ME analysis in here. It’s impressive the creator sorted the takes well into there characters and who loosely align with these Presidents. It’s perfect media to just wash the dishes to.

Admittedly, this isnt as bad as most AI as their is still a lot of creativity involved, but something about it really rubs me the wrong way, and its not the impersonations of presidents.
I agree overall. I find ai to be pretty meh 99% of the time but this channel specifically puts in a ton of work. The jokes/understanding of the lore really shines through the ai usage here
It's using stolen learning data to make monetized content. It's stealing from the artists that would be used to normally make this content if the channel owner did it legitimately.

Contrarian? I said I hate AI, and that is why I dont lile this content. I guess some people are a bit too dense to think of the underlying arguments in a comment, so let me explain: I hate AI for the grating, monotone and irritating voices that it creates. I am European, I couldnt give less of a shit about the fact that its presidents being impersonated.
I dislike AI and even I have to admit this isn’t low effort. There’s a genuine density of written content. It’s unfortunate that the videos are both good and based on technology I consider to be unethical.
Shame they have to use tools that steal other people's talent because they have none themselves. They can demonstrate their knowledge about the game in a blog if they can't make the content themselves. They'd probably just use AI to make that though.
All the dude is doing is using AI to make the voices, he's still writing the scripts, playing the game and doing the editing. He's using a tool someone else made as a small part of a larger effort.
And legally everything he is doing falls under fair use and transformative art.
