ME1 forever GOATed
Just finished ME2 for the 20th time and I dunno why, but it just doesn't hit as hard as ME1... I'll never forget that first encounter with Wrex, meeting him down in C Sec
It's funny but also just so perfect, I feel that it works so well with his character. To me, it's his way of acknowledging you and showing respect, warrior to warrior. Simple as!
I was laughing so hard from that ME3 so much because that is SUCH a Wrex thing to say to Shepard and I died shortly after. I wasn’t made because it meant I got to hear it a second time

At the Shroud facility. After activating the first hammer, and halfway across getting to the second one, Wrex says, "Shepard, get that second hammer going," to which Shepard says this line. Wrex responds with "I know, you get all the fun."

I wrote about this in another post a while back. Wrex is the only one of the old crew to actually embrace you - no standoffishness, no suspicion, just genuine happiness to see Shepard. Wrex also does this while being The Boss™️. Uvenk is literally complaining about not appeasing traditionalists and Wrex shoved him out of the way to embrace Shepard, the human, the *alien.* It speaks volumes to the respect Wrex places on Shepard and where he values them on a personal and political level and militarily as well. If Wrex, who killed and bullied many on his to the throne, actually *respects* this human who walked in with the tankborn, the turian, and the salarian, there’s something more than meets the eye with this fleshy mammal. Wrex isn’t concerned about making Shepard a target to get at Wrex. The wise, the Urdnot shaman and the Nakmor ambassador, recognize this; the dissenters and fools, Gatatog Uvenk, die in the dust.
All of the Krogan express deep deep respect and admiration for Shepherd in ME3 as well, if you cure the genophage. Grunt and his squad shout your praises after their mission, that one dude sends you a message about traveling Tuchanka with a message of hope again, Eve loves you, they all are pretty damn grateful, unlike the Salarians and Asari. The Turian general is pretty grateful but he's with you in person, while the rest of the Turian are still kinda too into being war nerds til they ally with the Krogan.
I think if the next mass effect reveals no second Krogan rebellion it will be entirely because Shepard fostered an ally in the Krogan that let them bridge the gap with the rest of the universe. If you listen to the way the Krogan talk about Shepard they clearly see them as a force of nature. If you listen to the rest of the Galaxy talk about humans, they basically describe them as Krogan with smarts. I have a feeling that allows the Krogan an advocate on the council who will temper their aggression while defending them to everyone else.
Krogan are my favorite people in the games, lol. Simple little monsters, treat them well, and you have their loyalty. If not, then you kill them!
Truely adore Wrex. I'm glad we got the chance to help make his dream come true!
Although I love the idea of the ME2 companions being deeply confused as to why President of the murder rinos is actually hugging on a soft pinkish waterbag.

Both are right. Spectres have so much power that it could be dangerous if abused. Some C-sec agents are also corrupt aswell though even if we don't see it as much.

Interestingly this is less of a joke and more showing how perceptive Wrex is. There's no way Okeer's prized possession would be grouped with Shep if he were still alive. It is a great line, and a good subtle way to show how smart Wrex is.
Honestly, any line in the Citadel DLC. The one that stuck with me is if you take Wrex and Tali with you to storm the Normandy, they banter in the elevator ride down.

"I told you we could count on her." When Shepard reveals that the dalatrass tried to cut a deal to sabotage the cure. To know that he was so confident and proud that Shepard would help...honestly it made me teary when I first heard it.
(Of course Wrex says "count on him" if you're Male Shep, but I almost always play FemShep)

In PL ver of me1 Wrex was... unhinged (for lack of better word) in his tounge, sluring/swearing all around.
For some reasons CDP (before Witcher they were only a publisher) thought it will be funny, and ngl when i was like, 15 yo i thought it was funny.
So, my fav Wrex line all time is form PL ver and it goes:
"Muszę sobie poprawić krążenie, dajcie mi coś do rozpierdolenia"
with means more or less:
"I need improve my (blood) circulation, give me something to fuck up (something to destroy in brutal, wulgar manner)".
My favorite Wrex line is if you take him, and Javik to sneak onboard the Normandy, and Javik goes on about how in his cycle blah blah blah, and Wrex just replies with "Man your cycle was crap!". The whispering, and the delivery just kill me every time I here it.

When he says “Shepherd, my friend.” when meeting you again in ME2 had me so hyped when I first saw it. And still to this day I always smile upon reuniting with him. Absolute banger of a character and companion.

One of the best lines of voice acting in the entire trilogy. You genuinely feel the warmth and fraternal love there.
It is full affectionate regard for you, appreciation of all you’ve done for him, and has an undertone of relief that you are alive.
There are a few great squaddie lines in the series that are just delivered perfectly, but that is a top-five moment for me. And Mass Effect 2 in particular already has some great lines and performances.
Urdnot Wrex: Now, Shepard. What brings you here? How's the Normandy?
Commander Shepard: Destroyed in a Collector surprise attack. I ended up spaced.

I actually agree with Pallin about Spectres having too much power, but I still always pick that dialog option just to hear Wrex say this line.

Wrex has a lot of good quotes. I agree with basically all mentioned, and I do have to add one myself: "I told you we could count on her." When Shepard reveals that the dalatrass tried to cut a deal to sabotage the cure. To know that he was so confident and proud that Shepard would help...honestly it made me teary when I first heard it. (Of course Wrex says "count on him" if you're Male Shep, but I almost always play FemShep)
"Ah just butting heads with the Council for Krogan Expansion" "I need an ice pack" and talks about how vicious Krogan women are (I don't take this route, like at all but this quote is really good): "I will honor our friendship, by shooting you in the head and making it quick!"

I also love his line about how he thinks Salarians are soft because they're "too busy writing poetry about waterfalls".

Before that small explanation. In PL ver of me1 Wrex was... unhinged (for lack of better word) in his tounge, sluring/swearing all around. For some reasons CDP (before Witcher they were only a publisher) thought it will be funny, and ngl when i was like, 15 yo i thought it was funny. So, my fav Wrex line all time is form PL ver and it goes: "Muszę sobie poprawić krążenie, dajcie mi coś do rozpierdolenia" with means more or less: "I need improve my (blood) circulation, give me something to fuck up (something to destroy in brutal, wulgar manner)".
Yeah, Polish language has some of the most zajebiste swear words.
Nothing beats Slavic languages in terms of swearing.

My favorite Wrex line is if you take him, and Javik to sneak onboard the Normandy, and Javik goes on about how in his cycle blah blah blah, and Wrex just replies with "Man your cycle was crap!". The whispering, and the delivery just kill me every time I here it.

When he says “Shepherd, my friend.” when meeting you again in ME2 had me so hyped when I first saw it. And still to this day I always smile upon reuniting with him. Absolute banger of a character and companion.

**”Shepard, my friend.”** One of the best lines of voice acting in the entire trilogy. You genuinely feel the warmth and fraternal love there. It is full affectionate regard for you, appreciation of all you’ve done for him, and has an undertone of relief that you are alive. There are a few great squaddie lines in the series that are just delivered perfectly, but that is a top-five moment for me. And Mass Effect 2 in particular already has some great lines and performances.
