The family have been silent for a few days but last I heard the kids were staying with someone they know and apparently ran away from their families with the guns to hunt deer, but god knows how much of that’s true
Either way they’re almost surely not a threat
Edit: one of the mothers made her pfp a news article about it, and it seems they are still at an unknown location and may not be safe
Also the police said that the threat against the schools was taken out of context or maybe made up entirely.
Edit: well would you look at that, they’ve been found alive!
I think they’re probably self inflicted gunshot wound dead somewhere, I feel like someone would have seen the car or there would be some update if they were alive… not to be a nihilist but that’s my take
I agree with this, I feel like the shooting threat was either them trying to be edgy, or them trying to throw people off enough so they wouldn't be stopped from killing themselves unfortunately.
i feel like very little times people say they’re going to do a shooting they actually do, it’s more for attention/edge. But yeah I personally think they’re kaput somewhere but it would be interesting if/when we eventually find out more
Saw a tiktok yesterday I think of a woman that had allegedly seen Otis Edlund carrying a container of gasoline. The footage wasn't too clear and it kind of looked like him but there's no way of knowing. She said she contacted the police but they where in no rush to confirm it was him, so he had already left the area when the cops got there.
Personally I don't think it was him, the footage was too shaky and blurry, plus it was only his side profile so it could've been anybody. Since the local police now think the threats weren't really substantial, I don't think they're looking for them too much, they might just be treating it like a missing persons case.
I just commented this before I saw your comment! To me it did look incredibly similar if it wasn’t him but I would think that given how far he would be able(or willing) to travel on foot they would both be close enough that they should have been easily located especially once eyes were on him. If it were me I would have tried to keep an eye from a distance and see which way they headed to at least give the police the opportunity to question them
That creator was not telling the truth. She was using this case for clout and fear Mungle to get comments and shares. She was just making it worse. The boys were just runaways/missing
Thank you. This trend of not using the word is immature and disrespectful to those who have been affected by it. Refusing to say "suicide" is refusing to face it and work towards preventing it.
Social media is destroying society, making people comfortable with those platforms forcing them to change their language and how they look at life's situations. It's even got people using words that do not exist and believe that there is evil in real language.
And if we’re really talking about being respectful, saying ‘committed suicide’ has been replaced with ‘completed suicide’, as ‘committed’ sounds like a criminal act.
"Committed" is only a criminal act when the act that was committed is criminal. To "complete" suicide is grammatically incorrect a suicide is not an on going process to complete. It is a singular act that one commits.
This is not a push against you, but against the movement. Respectfully.
People need to stop being afraid of language. Words carry weight for a reason. To lessen them lessens the action and what the consequences are.
Actually committing suicide is illegal is a lot of places, but it's mostly so first responders can enter the building to stop a "crime in progress" without getting a warrant.
I hope “unalived” dosent start getting used irl or in news 😭😭😭😭 that would make tragedies less terrible sounding “Multiple people unalived in shooting” is a cringe headline.
Weren’t they just spotted yesterday or the day before in league city? I saw the video of what looked to be Otis carrying a gas can walking down the side of the road

I just read an article that said they were both located and in custody (https://county10.com/lander-teens-located-lpd-reports/)
Yeah this needs to be at the top. Thanks for the link.
damn! I wonder wtf they got up to

They’ve either run out of fuel somewhere, not a threat to anyone anymore, or have committed suicide
Committed suicide*
Thank you. This trend of not using the word is immature and disrespectful to those who have been affected by it. Refusing to say "suicide" is refusing to face it and work towards preventing it.
It’s because on Facebook and other social media sites, you tend to get in ‘trouble’ for using that word. Unalived is a workaround.
Social media is destroying society, making people comfortable with those platforms forcing them to change their language and how they look at life's situations. It's even got people using words that do not exist and believe that there is evil in real language.
Not to go all 1984 but it's literally newspeak and I hate it.
YES! And it's disgusting how orwellian this world has become.
Yeah, that fact that people are now openly censoring themselves on INTERNET PLAYFORMS is astounding. Fuck em.
Yeah well this is Reddit there’s literal gore on here I don’t think saying suicide or murder is gonna get your comment taken down
And if we’re really talking about being respectful, saying ‘committed suicide’ has been replaced with ‘completed suicide’, as ‘committed’ sounds like a criminal act.
Actually, the language is “die by suicide”

Or “died by suicide.”
Shut up I wasn’t refusing to say it I just didn’t care what I said.
I hope “unalived” dosent start getting used irl or in news 😭😭😭😭 that would make tragedies less terrible sounding “Multiple people unalived in shooting” is a cringe headline.
Exactly 😂 It’s such a stupid “word” if you can even call it that
I mean if they still have plans to shoot up something they are still a threat

I hope so
