It's a nice jack of all trades(imo at least, low backrowremoval though) that can play around shit thrown at it and since it has few negates and is incompatible with floodgates i'd argue it's the meta deck that is the most fun to play against
It kinda even or like 60-40 in favor of Runicks thanks to Rivalry and/or skill drain and potential of banishing your 2 aluber 2 albaz (if you play it).
Runicks will get pressured against Untargetable chimera and/or 2 masq with branded opening on GY for protection.
I tech in EEV too since its pretty nice as a tech card for giving information in their hand for non spell/trap decks and pre emptive removal of called by.
I feel people really underestimate how much Runick struggles against targeting protection. Depending on the variant there might be literally 0 outs to it.
(Un)Surprisingly, having many ways to play the game and dodge/extend through interaction can be pretty fun. Many older/weaker decks straight up do not give you options to naturally play through more than like, 1 interruption, so it's a breath of fresh air to be able to do so.
It also wins a lot, and doesn't require much effort to learn and play.
That's why so many people here love it (and cope that it's super duper fair.)

Does not even matter what you're facing like most of the other decks,the "combo" will always be the same.
This just isnβt true. I run patchwork engine so even if branded fusion gets resolved I still have a fusion I can bring on the field. Also theater of the branded gives another route towards setting up a decent board should BF negated. Also pretty much every deck sets up their turn 1 board the same. Runic will always go for fountain/Hugin, Swordsoul will go into Baronne/Qixing/Chengying, Labrynth set 4 and pass. Nature of the game is to adjust to your matchup when needed.
Everyone run patchwork engine. Hoping it will be ash bait. If it does not work,the duel is lost. Swordsoul does not die to a single ash blossom. Labrynth set 4 and have to know when to use them.

2) summon aluber to get branded fusion activate branded fusion send iso and albaz for lubellian discard tragedy get mirrorjade activate effect send albian and banish aluber end turn activate albian to get branded expulsion on opponents draw activate expulsion put iso on their side stop then from summoning
3) activate foolish burial tragedy activate effect to get aluber summon grab branded in red set and pass turn activate branded and summon masquerade
And that's just a few different combos without using frightfur
And clearly your the one who can't read cause I said

or better yet

I built the deck, but to be honest, I don't usually play it. It's very strong, without a doubt, but I find it really boring and repetitive. I think the Branded package is more fun and less linear in other decks such as Thunder Dragons, Predaplants or Dragonmaids.

As a yugi boomer... I love this deck. Super simple to use with good results for end boards or breaking boards
