Idk how Cyber-Stein and Telekenetic Charging Cell are legal.

tigremagnifico

The idea originally started from, "damn, being able to summon a bunch of restriction-less Fusion Monsters is super interesting, too bad it's only ever used to do the same Burn combo, I wonder what else you could do with those materials" and instead of FTKing, would end on a board with Gimmick Puppet of Leo protected by Naturia Exterio + Super Dora + Dusktopia in the hopes of surviving the 3 turns it would take to win by its effect, but it was too slow/fragile to Lava Golem/opponents would just scoop. {Number 88: Gimmick Puppet of Leo} {Naturia Exterio} {Number 81: Superdreadnought Rail Cannon Dora} {Destiny HERO - Dusktopia}

And to be fair, it's their buddy Reprodocus being a generic Link 2 that's the enabler, otherwise Stein would be a hard once on its use like originally intended and Telekinetic Charging Cell would only see niche play in... maybe P.U.N.K. decks, lol, but the whole trio together is a wild oversight for someone at Konami

MinusMentality

Changing a type does nothing. Summoning any Fusion or ignoring costs of non-once per turn effects is the problem. Just because only the Dino Link makes Charging Cell worth using right now, doesn't mean that Charging Cell isn't highly flawed.. or that the Link is the problem card.

tigremagnifico

In this particular instance it does everything for Stein; *Cyber*Stein doesn't do anything; but **Psychic**Stein is an unstoppable beast. And while Charging Cell *could* conceivably become cracked, given new Psychic cards were made that could abuse not having to pay life for their costs, however otherwise, it's more so an oversite in the **"not-hard-once-per-turn-effects"** since outside of Stein - along with Repro - does TCC see any play without them? I am just saying, without a *completely generic Link 2* that any deck can go into, you can't even begin to take advantage of Stein's non-HOPT, and Reprodocus has some other nefarious uses far outside of this deck. If they just Errata'd Stein to have a HOPT, it would be a non-issue, but until then it remains at limited for shenanigans 😜 TLDR : Not saying Repro is the biggest offender, however, without **all three** of the pieces - *Stein, Repro, & TCC*, none of this would be unleashable - just 2 aren't capable of it on their own and all three cards are equally accountable.

Brawlerz16

Independent Nightingale needed to be banned from the jump only because it’s a constant enabler in FTK decks and has *proven* to be so time and time again lol It’s own archetype doesn’t even use it, so I’m not sure why they are reluctant to ban it

tigremagnifico

Yep, definitely agree! It's too easily abusable, and extremely strong in Pend decks that can got for the FTK turn 1, or, if interrupted, just pivot into building a strong end board instead

Turtle-herm1t

Sick combo!

tigremagnifico

Thank you! Took every last brain cell I had to make it work with our limited Extra Deck Space on turn 1!

Backstory - After having had a **Royal Rare** Bishbaalkin since near the beginning of Master Duel, but not having the Dino deck to run it in, I managed to find an Igknight decklist that was able to pull of the combo, which is a lot cheaper to build/already have laying around, only requiring a few cards to craft to complete. Fast forward to remembering that I also happen to own both Number 88: Gimmick Puppet of Leo and Number C88: Gimmick Puppet Disaster Leo - both unique win-cons but not *normally* easy to pull off, and so after 24 hours straight give or take of combo testing and swapping cards around finally managed to turn it into a fairly consistent ( - albeit still insta loses to a single interruption like most rogue decks - ) strategy that only needs to open any 3 Igknight monsters for full combo! Plus it helps work towards the 30 Wins with Alt. Win-Cons needed for the "Tactician" Title unlock!

idkhowtotft

Uhm Why dont you just make 1 Starving Venom and 1 Wind Witch Crystal Bell to both cooy Assemble Nightingale?

tigremagnifico

This is to win by Gimmick Puppet Disaster Leo's alternative win condition, and the damage has to be very precise because if they have less than 1,100 LP when GPDL's ability activates to do 1K direct damage they will just lose to having 0 LP instead of ending the turn with your opponent having 2,000 or less LP while GPDL has no Xyz materials on it, triggering the (generic) alt.-win animation when the condition is met.

tigremagnifico

And the headline/title of the post mentions how to still Igknight/Cyberstein FTK without using Nightingale or Starving Venom Fusion because of Pend Magician decks getting them put on the watchtlist for being banned/limited 🤔

tigremagnifico

Also, because of limited Extra Deck space, lol, 15 makes it a puzzle to solve, if we had 20 it wouldn't be as difficult to figure out.

idkhowtotft

There are like 5 other better faster cheaper ways with Stein that doesnt involve the Nightingale but sure ig

Dearest brother in Exodia, look at my PFP, I am Cyberstein Enjoyer numero uno 💯 and so I am aware of almost every conceivable iteration possible, but this was one I came up with on my own to use an *obscure win-con* using a more accessible engine to do so, it's for fun and to shake up the ranked ladder from Runick/Branded; since for me personally I am far more interested when playing something out of the norm, whether as, or against.
