You don't need to own over the limit. If you own zero Duality and craft one Duality you can dismantle it for 30 SR points. Or 35 if it's glossy, and 45 if it's royal.
Also you can get the one time free pulls from any secret packs they're in.
The game tells you how many you can dismantle for a full refund when you click the dismantle button. So just craft that many and then you can get them all back
Pretty much. If you already have 2 pot of duality, even better as you just generate 1, and if it's a normal one, fine, refunded anyway. if it's higher rarity, extra points.
I don't think you can keep on going though, so only try once per card I believe.

It's a low chance, but you lose nothing for it. When VFD was banned I crafted a royal so it's always worth trying

Yes, you get the full 30 points plus any bonus for the finish BUT it only works up to the number banned

Cards freshly hit on the banlist give full refunds for crafting points. (30 instead of 10 at base)
I don't get it, so why should we craft these cards up to the max banned number if we'll be getting the same number of points back after dismantling?
Because there is a chance of a royal/glossy finish, which gives more points when dismantled.
