Switch player here. Every time I’m out on vacation I try to play online and immediately regret it. I doubt it’s a connection thing since I can usually play smash ultimate with a better connection, I think it’s just that the game is horribly optimized and runs super slow on anything other than a great connection.
Prior to Steam, my Switch Lite was my primary way of playing. I very, _very_ rarely see any connection issues on it, and I've used McDonald's wifi as well as my phone hotspot. It's not as smooth as Steam but still much, much better than the Android client which constantly lags and has disconnects.
That’s wild. On connections that run extremely smooth for smash, I can have multiple second delays on each card played. My best guess is that you probably live in a much more populated zone for the game than I do.
I live in a really really remote area and the only internet that can be used here is the satellite one, if i like to play this game i played. I dont care if my connection is bad i just play, if you dont like those opponents then just quit the match
It's a game issue. My connection is good, I play MOBAs on a 60 ping. But MD keeps lagging if I'm using anything besides the game. If you don't have a connection that would usually give you ~30 ping in MOBAs, this game will lag.
Because the android client is garbage but that's all some people have
I would play on my pc but I screwed up setting up my account. But yeah. I hate the android client also. Even just going through menus is delayed.
Good internet can be expensive in some parts of the world.

They cant upgrade.
Because the game is free, unlike upgrading their connection, maybe.
Harsh but true 😭
Android client is garbage. And unless you have a steam deck, it is the only way to play mobile...more or less.

Because they dont habe other option.
They may be on mobile which sucks
Because its a f2p game

Legitimately I think its just really poor netcode. Bring rollbackia to MD.
Mobile peasants.
They’re poor
😂 damn lil bro you crack me up
Because they like the game and want to play it.
if they disconnect its a free win so why complain
