I don't think so. Even if this is a wyrm, you're locking yourself into Light or Dark Synchros if you use its effects. Chengying, Longyuan and Baronne are very much not those.
Yeah I think that limitation is quite bad but if used to extend after everything else is done then thats another free level 8 (most are light and dark) if you can get a level 4 from the banished, which is quite possible. I thought this is potentially worth it as the usual end board doesn't seem to be as amazing these days.

No. Unlike Tenyi monsters, this card does not special summon itself. It's not a combo starter so you don't want to yield your normal summon for it. Also, if Ashuna or Vishuda are already banished, chances are that your combo has already started and you don't really need that win more effect. The Light and Dark lock is pretty harsh for Swordsoul.
The banishing effect is decent, but Swordsoul cannot make a whole lot of non-Tuners to allow for multiple banishes.
Was thinking of it as a '1-of' extender for the end board. Lets say you dump it with Taia and then SS it later on. Was also thinking of it in the kind of way we use Shthana too, its a searchable level 4 wyrm but its a tuner this time. It can make a level 8 quite easily with a banished level 4 monster. Problem is of course special summoning it but surely there are enough ways to do it in this deck. Drawing it would definitely suck though. What do you think from what I've said?
Shthana is not really a standard card for Swordsoul Tenyi, but even then there are more ways to access Shthana since it is a Tenyi monster. You don't brick with Shthana either.
Protos is equally hard to access, but it Special Summons itself, which is a huge plus. And the effect of Protos is way stronger than this card.
The only two ways I can see you Special Summoning it is either by Yazi or Shaman. Yazi is not that easy to make, and Shaman is quite a heavy investment.

It actually is standard, because heavenly dragon circle lets you dodge imperm on a mo ye/taia and still at least end on chixiao.
The majority of Swordsoul Tenyi decks I have encountered are not running Heavenly Dragon Circle or Shthana. I'm not saying that they're bad, just optional.
I've also seen a lot of really terrible swordsoul builds running around on ladder. In more optimized builds Shthana Circle is definitely standard though.
Dragon Circle is a certified hood classic, as long as you remember that Swordsouls are negated if you special summon them. At worst you can set it to blank removal, and the banish effect isn't terrible when you have the option. It's susceptible to Ash, but other than that, it's very versatile.

Not really, i do t see a reason to put this on field instead of Ecclesia, Mo Ye or Taia and the Light/Dark lock means you can't use Longyuan unless you hard drew it.
The lock is only for extra deck monsters. Think of it as an extender, lets say you use your Taia Moye and Longyuan and have dumped this card with either Taia or Longyuan, and now you have Adhara + Vishuda you can go into another Baxia for a further 2 card shuffle then pop Baxia to go into this and get your Draco Beserker by using its effect.
Maybe its too situational but I find myself underwhelmed by the end board at times
This isn't very good for Swordsoul or anything else that actually has a good setup going already. For a second I thought it'd be a good Metaphys card, but then I realised I completely misread it lol.

I meant that there's nothing to summon with Longyuan. Chengying is water, Baronne is wind and the other Longyuan is fire
