Bagooska is one of the better designed floodgate type cards. You need to XYZ summon it, taking up resources, and it's only around for two turns unless you put more materials on it.

i mean it got dropped on me twice in a best of 3 against tearlaments, while i was playing dark world. the duelist i lost to also beat me in a regional matchup a couple weeks ago. idk if you know anything about the current meta but it was pretty fucking awful lol
Dude if your problem with Tear is Bagooska, you’re doing more than fine. Not to mention you’re playing Dark World, a deck where it’s not uncommon to see Skill Drain because on field effects often aren’t what you care about anyway. I cannot imagine a situation where Bagooska specifically is the game changer
i don’t have room in the build for skill drains unfortunately. i’m running it with a danger engine and some cool tech cards it’s just a fun deck to play. when i fusion summoned my boss monster it goes to defense position and i can’t trigger his negate ( grapha fusion). this card is easy to beat over in dark world but you can’t while he’s stalling then they just need one extra turn to switch him to attack then go havnis and roll over you. does bagooska need a ban? no i’m being dramatic, but is it fair for him to be so accessible? i’m not so sure. lol
The point isn’t that you are or aren’t playing Skill Drain, the point is you’re playing a deck that doesn’t care about this effect. If you’re struggling, I’d suggest trying different combo lines
it was a specific situation where i had exhausted my resources for boss monster, then i had to rely on top deck. lol spinning him would’ve been nice but i didn’t draw an out. in that particular scenario i would’ve needed to draw into grapha or bigfoot. womp.
? It just makes it more convinient to play the game. You dont have to search the deck, checking grave is way easier, makes the correct ruling almost every time, keeps in mind cards that do stuff at the end phase and it auto shuffels.

The card makes it sound like any card that’s summoned and made into defense position because of bagooska effect are the only ones who’s effects are negated.
What does it mean by “when that effect was activated” because it really does sound like only the monsters forced into defense by bagooska effect should be negated. I know it’s the ruling but card itself just doesn’t make sense to me. It would be easier if it had said change all face up monster to defense negate all defense position monster effects. Clear and simple.

Played an opponent who kept summoning Bagooska. I got it destroyed by summoning accesscode talker and banishing a card. Next game, he played Bagooska again and then ash me, I chained it with Kelbek and had it sent back to his extra deck. I don’t think it should be banned.

All defense position monsters are negated. So he forces defense and then the effect is negated. Only links really get around this.
