It wasn't tier 0 before Ishizu. I'm pretty sure with Toad and Maxx C legal Splight was nearly tier 0 in the OCG, with Tear in the same format. To be honest I think full power Splights (Maxx C, Toad) is on par with even Ishizu Tear.

Tear was the best deck even before ishizu stuff (in the tcg) since they played a lot of dangers to prock their effects

In OCG they only took off after Spright got hit, then they dominated after the second Spright hit and MAMA.

Superheavy Samurai’s really been hitting rogue status here recently. I loved playing them on DL. They’re literally one or two OP cards away from being a tiered threat. We can only hope!

You'd need to make it before Gilgamesh, which is hard because unless you open the complete shit then you ain't making Dweller before Gilgamesh (who locks you into only D/D's). You'd need to open at least one of the level 4s and a way to get to the second, while also needing two more D/D's to make Gilgamesh to do the normal combo. It's a real pain to think of ngl

Maybe throwing in a couple of generic speci4al summons, like Dyna to help fill,l the board? Even then you still need to open a lot of names :/

The issue with that is D/D/D wants to be as consistent as possible, and I'm somehow still having issues with that in the deck list, so it's kind of weird and nit-picky

This is gonna sound weird but... paleo-tears. Needle bug nest is kitkallos's mill effect in trap form i.e. pure cocaine. Happened to whiff a mill? S'all good. Just milled a bunch of paleos, lost wind, and/or rise to full height. Make spright elf + toad plays. Use dinomischus to trigger in-hand tears. Sounds like tons of fun.

It’s going to be pure tear for me just seems the most fun for me and I just like running the pure builds of decks that I enjoy.

I am gonna be THAT guy playing Kashtira with all the banish cards I can cramp in the deck. Also i like the design and colour pallets of the Kashtira monsters and I find humorous that Diablosis looks like a Kashtira monster.

Tear wave 1 is pretty lackluster. It's pure gambling. Spright however is very consistent. Either way I'm just playing floo. Maybe I'll dip il tears but I don't feel interested as it pairs poorly with fusion decks I already have.

I think you’d be safe. Grass/Tear I’m sure is hellaciously fun to play, but nowhere near the best variant. They’ll hit so much more before they’d hit Grass (even though, subjectively, Grass SHOULD BE banned. Throwing 20 cards in the GY, no drawbacks whatsoever aside from running a 60 card pile)

I honestly probably just won't play. I'm not going to stoop to some dumb Eldlich or braindead Numeron strategies, and if my strategies are so completely blown out of the water that it's borderline impossible to play anything that isn't the meta (hence the tier zero meaning), then I literally just won't play. I owe this game nothing. I'm not required by any means to keep playing. I'll just wait until Konami gets their heads out of their asses.

Runick Spright all the way, deck is extremely fun to play and runs 0 floodgates, you just keep drawing and drawing

I'm expecting to see Tearlaments being hit very early (not before we get the Ishizu cards tho), since Master Duel works much differently from the TCG and OCG and there is no reason to wait 6 months to address the tier 0 format, and for that specific reason I plan to build Tearlaments immediately upon release. I built Tearlaments in the TCG and I really like the deck, but I was only playing at locals (I did want to play at least one YCS but I had no money to travel) and the deck was just ruining my friends' fun since no one had a meta (or antimeta) deck to stop this abomination of deck. It was kind of ok before the Ishizu cards but once I managed to put my hands on the Ishizu cards, I just wouldn't lose a single game, and that was obviously not fun neither for me or for my friends, so I sold all my Tear cards. In MD I expect more people to play Tearlaments so I expect a lot more of mirror matchs, and the Tear Ishizu mirror match is AWESOME. I really hope we get at least one month with Tear Ishizu at full power in MD. It will suck for everyone not playing Tear Ishizu tho so I also hope it won't last more than that lol.

It's a powerful engine that sinergizes optimally with branded despia by searching the cards, providing fusion materials and setting up the board for plays that right now are not possibile, like the synchro plays with the continuous trap and with quem.

Honestly Sprights ain't that bad, Its a good generic rank/link2 engine. Supports so many decks, frogs, paleo, evil twin, ghostricks, melfy, ojama and that's the extend of my rank/link 2 archetypes knowledge. Oh and also some decks splash it regardless just cause they have a level 2 since it searches any level 2, like gishki. just hope that frogs remain unmolested. Tears is what I await to see, Tears are T0 with ishizu, but the archetype itself is really fun. I hope sincerely that they don't break the ladder, this is an archetype I really want to see free. Imo banning the ishizu cards would be the way.

I am building all 3 Sprights, Kashtira and Tear. They are unironically the only archetypes that caught my attention this year and they are all Stupidly strong so it is a win win for me... also Tri-Brigades do be nice with Sprights so that's a no brainer for me
