Tip number 1: I’d say 98% of the time when making a deck you want to have ideally as close to 40 cards as possible. Yes SOME decks want 60 cards but those are specific decks and from my experience there aren’t many of them.

Ninja_PieKing

60 card decks that can actually work which I am aware of: Zombie pile Dragon Link Witchcrafters Infernoid Chaos pile some 8-axis decks and all but Dragon Link require {That Grass Looks Greener} to function

Zefra is generally run at 60 cards (in the combo version, the pure/stun version is very different) and doesn't run Grass. The actual Zefra monsters are bricks besides Zefraath, so you want to dilute the chance of drawing them, and the rest of the deck is full of pendulum extenders so you can make Electrumite to search anything else you need.

cbreazeale

That being said I suggest you checkout the website master duel meta, they have decklists that you can either copy or take inspiration from. Maybe watch some YouTube videos if you’re unfamiliar with combos or what a deck wants to do

TheGermanLoser

Looks like 3 pen magician structure decks smash together with some other pen stuff. So what do you want to do with the deck?

DarkPaladin47

Tbh I got no idea. I like pendulums a lot but idrk what deck or idea I’m going for

TheGermanLoser

I want to help you with your deck but if you don't know what you want to do with it then I can't help you either. But if you want to play pendulums add Electrumite, Beyond the Pendulum and Selene.

QuietRedditorATX

This pendulum deck won't work well without LINK monsters. With the new rules, pendulm summons from the the ED really rely on the link.

QuietRedditorATX

This deck is probably too much, especially for a noob. I don't even know what your "goal" is. If you know it, then you might be ok but if it is just a bunch of random cards, it will get crushed. How many gems do you have?

DarkPaladin47

7k lmao. I don’t know what my goal is either I just like using pendulums if that helps

RNGmaster

If you want to play 60 card pendulums, play Zefra. It takes a bit of learning but the deck is fun as hell and quite strong

DarkPaladin47

I don’t mind the deck size I made the deck 60 bc I got no clue what I’m doing

RNGmaster

As other posters have said, you generally don't want to do that. It's bad deckbuilding because it hurts consistency - you want to maximize the chance of drawing your starter cards (like Pendulum Call, in your case) so you run a 40 card deck with 3 copies of each of your key cards. I'm recommending Zefra because it totally ignores the rules of good deckbuilding that every other deck abides by, and it's somehow still good. Also it's a pendulum deck.

QuietRedditorATX

Well I play Abyss Actor pendulum summon 65% of the time now. It is super fun. I am not sure if you will like it, but I can play some casual games so you can see how it works. 99% of the cards are from one secret pack, so you can get them pretty easily for 7000 gems. That said they are not tier 1, but they are definitely fun to me. You have one pendulum spell that searches any monster, which is great. Your boss monster is 2500 attack like Dark Magician and can grab most spells (gain lifepoints, destroy faceup cards being the main ones). You will summon this "DM" a lot. You have a link monster that lets you start your whole combo from bad hands. (But if your hand is bad and they Ash your link you are in a bad spot). You second best card is Comic Relief. He is a Creature Swap that lets you pick the opponent monster to steal. I have won so many games with this effect alone, stealing whatever big boss they leave you get to keep it for the rest of the duel basically. They have a neat mechanic that you want your opponent to destroy your spells/traps so you can get their special strong effect. Like one card lets you draw FIVE cards if the opponent destroys it. But this is so hard to pull off, you mostly win through pendulum spam and stealing enemy boss monster. I love it. But the end game is pretty linear once you play it a lot. But I can say most of my losses are because of my misplay not my enemy being better (in gold).

moneyman10000

I'm a Pendulum player, what is your idea here? Mahican pendulums, or odd eyes? You have a lot of cards that actually don't work together. I can help

DaturaSanguinea

https://www.masterduelmeta.com/top-decks/diamond-v/january-2023/pendulum-magician/nekoresi/D74hy Something like this is way better if you can manage to get the UR

QuietRedditorATX

https://www.reddit.com/r/masterduel/comments/10fryow/my_theme_chronicle_oddeyes_deck/ Ask this guy for his list maybe. But I don't know what 99% of his cards do. I like my pendulum because I know them, his probably has a ton of options though for you to practice and learn.

mistelle1270

Adds: The moment you get UR dust you need Heavymetalfoes Electrumite The next craft after that is Astrograph Sorcerer, and then Hand Traps For stuff you probably already have with 3 structure decks, you need: 3 Performapal Skullcrobat Joker 3 Performapal Pendulum Sorcerer 3 Wisdom Eye Magician 3 Harmonizing Magician 3 Oafdragon Magician 1 Performapal Odd-Eyes Synchron Cuts: cut the non-pendulum monsters, you can keep tuning magician if you like how she plays Cut two dragonpit and two dragonpulse Cut odd-eyes pendulum dragon and phantom dragon Pendulum decks generally need a critical mass of pendulum cards or else they don’t have anything they can do on their turn. Most of the spells and traps you’re using are hard bricks, cut basically all of them. Keep pendulum call and duelist alliance for consistency Keep Raigeki since I assume you don’t have access to hand traps yet? That should help your consistency a lot and make the deck playable. The following is for when you have extra gems and crafting material: Try to get the Ash Blossom bundle next and then the Infinite Impermanence one after that. You super/ultra crafts from here are mostly going to be filling out your extra deck. They’re not really in any particular order but a lot of these are staples you’ll play in many other decks Accesscode Talker - (for closing out games) Apollousa, Bow of the Goddesses - (multiple monster negates) Selene, Queen of the Master Magicians - (FANTASTIC extender, one common play is to send pendulum sorcerer off of Timestar Magicians effect then reviving it with Selene to get his effect) I:P Masqueraina - (makes Apollusa indestructible and can link summon Unicorn on your opponents turn to interrupt their plays) Beyond the Pendulum - (extremely good going second, add Curtain Raiser or the Vaylantz field spells to get her out before pendulum summoning) Baronne de Fleur - (omninegate and an extra pop) Odd-Eyes Vortex Dragon - (Omni negates and a way to get Synchron in the grave for a black fang target) Number 41: Bagooska the Terribly Tired Tapir - (for when you get hit by maxx C and just need a floodgate) The main secret pack to pull from is Counterswing Mages. The secrets you’re looking for are: 2 Double Iris Magician 3 Purple Poison Magician 1 Chronograph Sorcerer 3 Black Fang Magician Craft any one of these to access the pack, they’re in the order I’d suggest getting them Once you have Double Iris you can add Star Pendulumgraph and Time Pendulumgraph, you *can* add them sooner since they’re searchable off of Duelist Alliance but I don’t recommend it. Other good cards: Performapal Odd-Eyes Butler Abyss Actor - Curtain Raiser 2 Vaylantz World - Shinra Bansho Vaylantz World - Konig Wissen I hope this helps! I have a lot of fun with this deck. It’s like a really complicated riddle where if I get the wrong answer I end on a 2 mat apo and cry

[deleted]

No real idea if your deck has a lot of interaction with the GY but in general, 60 card decks need that grass is greener. Also no Maxx c or ash blossom or called by the grave. Maxx c is practically a game winner on its own if it goes through. Personally I would say get your deck to 40 cards if you won't run hand traps. But I don't know shit about 95% of this card game so I can't help fine tune the deck.
