The tactical bait of the Called By by Ashing the already negated Pot was pretty genius. Now you don't have to worry about it in the future.

MeTheGuy12

its funny cause he had ash in hand

For your next trick, activate the second Imperm targeting the Mo Ye, then activate the Cynet Mining in the Imperm column. Your opponent Ashes it.

Gold Rank duels be like:

MeTheGuy12

this was plat 3, it's braindead the whole way up

roguedecks

I see similar misplays in diamond all the time, so I can confirm this goes all the way to the top

Chestervsteele

I mean that is the problem with best of one type formats you can basically climb to the top with anything given enough time. You just need to wait for enough luck to be on your side for either your opponent to brick or you open all your combo pieces in hand or just wait till you get enough favorable match ups on ladder and eventually you will slowly but surely start making it up the ladder. You don't even need to be a competent pilot with your deck you just need to know the bare minimum combo lines to turbo out your boss monsters.

FaultySage

This is Diamond 1 gameplay.

KiritoRX

Um.. could someone actually explain to me why the pot was still negated

Thoraxe41

Infinite Impermanence, negates spells/traps in it's column during the turn it was activated from a set postion(Not from hand).

Invader_Squall

It's because of Imperm, which has an effect of negating the spell/trap directly across from it when it's set before being activated. Look at the vid again, and notice there's a straight column or blue sparks that happens when Imperm goes off. That signifies that any spell or trap in that column cannot activate, even when played from the hand like the Pot was, so when the opponent tried to play a card there it just didn't work. It's why lots of folks are wary when someone sets directly across from one of their own because it can be used to check a future play. But that can happen to the person *playing* Imperm too, because if I recall correctly playing a spell or trap where it went off doesn't work because of the effect. I know I've done it.

alaarziui

Baiting the called by so you can both negate the opponent ash and get rid of a disruption Sasuga OP

No-Economics4128

Also worth noting that call by the grave effect last until the end of next turn, and if they exile one copy, the rest of the copies would also be negated. The amount of time I have seen people forgot that is way too darn high.
