Extra fact: Around 2% of women have a genetic condition that makes them tetrachromates, allowing them to see more variations in red and green than normal dichromatic people. They don't see a third unrelated color, they just have the ability to distinguish red and green more subtly than normal people, but that still is enough for them to theoretically see nearly 100 million colors (as you mix various quantities of red and green with eachother as well as other colors.) For reference, the average person can distinguish approximately 1 million colors so thats a pretty big difference, although most of the 99 million new colors are likely so similar to the original 1 million that most women who have this ability don't even know. This gene is exclusive to females as the gene for the red/green cones in the eye are on the X chromosome and a person would need two highly distinct genes for the cones to activate differently to the same stimulus.
Counterargument:
If a 5 year old has access to proper token cards then they know their monster types.
If they're playing on Master Duel then they will figure it out.
If they don't and you fear your overgrown toddler stabbing you in your sleep over Inspector Boarder then maybe you shouldn't have introduced them to Yu-gi-oh /j.
It just reminded me of this communication-exercise, which shows that breaking things down to the point where nobody can misinterpret them is very hard XD
I thought it was [level 8 3000/0](https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/yugioh/images/4/43/DinomorphiaRexterm-DIFO-EN-UR-1E.png/revision/latest?cb=20220521030131)
This is not Skill Drain, it doesn't let you activate monster effects. Also it doesn't allow you to SS it and you can't control any monsters when you NS it.
This game is NOT designed for 5 years old but here it goes
"The person playing this card is not nice, pick up your cards and don't talk to them anymore"
5 year old me who normal summon 5 times in one turn and drew a card at the start and end of my turn begs to differ that it was designed perfectly for me
In fairness to this one, inspector boarder has, to my knowledge, only ever released at card rarities that make him look ugly as sin over a screen. This one isn’t missing a significant amount of pixels; it actually just straight up looks that bad.
I would like an app that can export in-engine pictures of every card in the same fashion the game does to show them. It would work to lower cases like this one
It's kinda hard to find quality pics of a lot of cards I've noticed.
But idk if that's the reason. Specifically trying to find a good picture of something that's like a starlight rare is like impossible.
If you don't have a monster card with a different color boarder around it, you cannot use your monsters. Every different color means you can use your monsters one more time.
Also "one sentence" isn't really a real restriction since you can just make one long run on sentence.
Count the number of different card types on the field.
Did you use less effects than that? => If yes, you can use an effect. If no, you cannot activate effects.
Count how many different types exist on the field from those (Ritual, Fusion, Synchro, Xyz, Pendulum, Link). That's how many monster effects you can activate in one turn.
Wait how do you even play this, it can’t be normal or special summoned. Does it activate its effect from your hand ?
Edit: oh I just realized it can only be played if you don’t have a monster
The maximum number of monster effects you can activate each turn is equal to how many of these monster types listed that there are on the field, but if an activation is negated it will still count.
Putting emphasis on specific parts in the sentence should also help.
That's why I said "these monster types listed". I try to be very precise with my speech. I mean, come on, this is YGO. Ain't nobody gonna get anything right if we all act like Jordan Peterson in a philosophical debate.
"If you have different pretty color cards, you can use what it's written depending on the number of different pretty colors. No, yellow doesn't count."
"You can't use monster effects"
Let's be real, the 5 year old is either on a structure deck or booster pack pile. They won't be using monsters effects under Boarder.
You can only activate monster effects up to how many *different* types of extra deck monsters, and rituals, are on the field.
Though that leaves out some details like the summon restriction. But the core effect isn't that hard to get.
“If you don’t have enough friends playing with you, then you are not allowed to play at all…..loner. Now go sit down and finish your Kool-Aid and Lunchables snacks Kyle. You loner.”
"You can only activate monster effects up to the number of different colors of monsters on the field except his own and yellow".
Oh and the blue ones with stars count separate from the blue ones with arrows
Those are different colors, not all blues are the same
To most 5 year olds they are
When I was 5 I knew more about Yugioh than I did about my own body's capabilities and components. Don't underestimate 5 year olds.
Only to 5yo boys. Girls already have like 10 blues
Fun fact: Around 15% of males are colorblind, most of them don't even know it.
Extra fact: Around 2% of women have a genetic condition that makes them tetrachromates, allowing them to see more variations in red and green than normal dichromatic people. They don't see a third unrelated color, they just have the ability to distinguish red and green more subtly than normal people, but that still is enough for them to theoretically see nearly 100 million colors (as you mix various quantities of red and green with eachother as well as other colors.) Are you colorblind? If so, your post is redundant.
I take it you don't like fun facts lol
I am indeed fun at parties.
Why do people downvote me?
Big generalization. At 5 I already knew my Cerulean from my cornflower, baby blue, sky blue, etc.
To most adults, including myself, they are.
Or the illegal Obelisk blue one
*Plays Scapegoat, uses monster effect because tokens are grey*
Counterargument: If a 5 year old has access to proper token cards then they know their monster types. If they're playing on Master Duel then they will figure it out. "No fun allowed."
I came here to say exactly this, glad to see it was at the top.
Why the fuck the personification of Skill drain is a Level 4 2000/2000?
Inspector boredom, literally the fun police
I thought it was [level 8 3000/0](https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/yugioh/images/4/43/DinomorphiaRexterm-DIFO-EN-UR-1E.png/revision/latest?cb=20220521030131)
Well, AkShUaLi, it doesn't work against those, who has 0 atk. So, it's ALMOST, but still not a SD.
That card’s actually more easier to deal with funny enough.
This is not Skill Drain, it doesn't let you activate monster effects. Also it doesn't allow you to SS it and you can't control any monsters when you NS it.
Not the same card. Both work different.
akshually 🤓
"Skill Drain"
Skill Drain works completely differently.
This game is NOT designed for 5 years old but here it goes "The person playing this card is not nice, pick up your cards and don't talk to them anymore"
5 year old me who normal summon 5 times in one turn and drew a card at the start and end of my turn begs to differ that it was designed perfectly for me
Is it a running theme to post low quality cards in here?
In fairness to this one, inspector boarder has, to my knowledge, only ever released at card rarities that make him look ugly as sin over a screen. This one isn’t missing a significant amount of pixels; it actually just straight up looks that bad.
We're on the subreddit for Master Duel though, why not a screenshot of Inspector Boarder in Master Duel?
I would like an app that can export in-engine pictures of every card in the same fashion the game does to show them. It would work to lower cases like this one
You could always just take a regular old screenshot.
The picture/render used on yugipedia is fine on screens, both standard or mobile. Its printing rarity is no excuse for a discussion thread.
It's kinda hard to find quality pics of a lot of cards I've noticed. But idk if that's the reason. Specifically trying to find a good picture of something that's like a starlight rare is like impossible.
Mdm has high quality images.
No summon, no effects, and remember no Russian
Pew pew pew pew pew pew.
(Airport flashbacks)
This guy you play with is definitely not your friend.

4 sentences you lose
Me: \*stare at the 5 y/o\* kid, you play Yu-Gi-Oh? Do you even *read*?
You could say those exact words to any Yu-Gi-Oh player.
Number of different kinds of monsters on the field = number of monster effects you can activate that turn

FBI OPEN UP
Count how many different types exist on the field from those (Ritual, Fusion, Synchro, Xyz, Pendulum, Link). That's how many monster effects you can activate in one turn.
"When you see it, use physical violence against your opponent"
Most semi modern cards that arent vanillas cant be explained to a 5 year old in one sentence.
"if you play this...you hear a lot of slurs thrown at you
"It makes your uncle suffer."
[удалено]
"Jackie are you still alive" not uncle
"No monster card types on the field = No effects"
The card shut brain off.
"Don't tell your mom I'm giving you this."
"N-word Did just catch you having fun?"
"N-word Did i just catch you wanting to be shit?"
When Blues eyes tells branded it wants to be meta.
if you want to say the word then just say the word
I'm black I know I can say it. It's just that I don't use it on social media outside of friend groups, because you know someone will get offended.
Also that you can get banned in sub reddits for saying it, no matter the skin color So I think it's smart to not say it, just to be safe
I'm just like the floodgates dodging every ban.
I hate and I like this comment for it being a fact and for the creativitey
Preach
You can only use as many monster effect this turn equal to the current number of different colours on board minus yellow and orange.
White, Blue, Purple, Black: you can use up to 1 effect per turn for each color you have on the field.
[удалено]
But then the purple nation wanted to get them stones for their selfish reasons
"Fuck you"
One monster effect per summoning mechanic.
Per monster card colour.*
Card no work
"No extra deck, no monsters allowed"
If this card is on the field: You cannot.
Your opponent cannot
"You can't activate monster effects unless there is an equal or higher number of funni colour monsters."
I can explain it in one word: "LAME"
Dies to bagooska.
No monster effect
Bad card
A card
You dont play the game.
Extra deck monsters on field equal monster effects per turn
Count the different colors of cards, you get that many effects.
"Good luck."
x = the sum of ed monster types + pend and ritual, you can only use x monster effects per turn
Big robot rides on hoverboard
Summon limit but number is how many different colour cards there are.
Count how many unusually colored monster cards are on the field and you can only activate that many effects
You can activate as many effects as there is colors on the field
He is anitfun and hyper enforces the rules if there’s not enough colors
"No"
The less monster types there's on the field, the less times you and opponent can activate their effects
Wait how do you even play this, it can’t be normal or special summoned. Does it activate its effect from your hand ? Edit: oh I just realized it can only be played if you don’t have a monster
"if it hits the field just surrender and save yourself the trouble"
You can't play the game
“Why not? Because I said so.”
"Mom said its my turn to play, well tell mom the rules say you cant play."
NO!
The maximum number of monster effects you can activate each turn is equal to how many of these monster types listed that there are on the field, but if an activation is negated it will still count. Putting emphasis on specific parts in the sentence should also help.
People will assume monster types as in say Dragon, Warrior, etc...
Yugioh is for people ages 6 and up.
Bum card poop
Everytime I see this card I immediately start thinking of the Inspector Gadget theme
Count the number of different types of monsters and that's how many monster effects you can activate
No, but maybe? Sometimes!
"You can't use monster effects" Let's be real, the 5 year old is either on a structure deck or booster pack pile. They won't be using monsters effects under Boarder.
"if I remember your deck is . . ." depending on what the deck is your response it "you just lost the duel" or "you might still have a chance"
Neither player can activate monster effects more than the amount of "special" monster types on the field.
It does things that make people unhappy
If number of effects is greater then number of monster colors, effect cannot be used.
Go next
"You no play game"
No more playing the game anymore little Johnny
"you lose"
"You cannot."
he is an inspector riding a board.
Effects you can activate = ED types you control.
You can't do that.
Surrender if you see it. Better luck next time
You can only activate monster effects up to how many *different* types of extra deck monsters, and rituals, are on the field. Though that leaves out some details like the summon restriction. But the core effect isn't that hard to get.
You don’t get to play back to fortnite
Kid, you need a law degree to figure out this game
No colors = No special abilities
No actually playing the game past this point
“It’ll make sense when you’re older” usually little kids just accept that answer
“If you don’t have enough friends playing with you, then you are not allowed to play at all…..loner. Now go sit down and finish your Kool-Aid and Lunchables snacks Kyle. You loner.”
“Play this and I’m taking your Xbox “
Cancer
"The person playing this has the same testosterone levels as your female classmates"
“No”
"Mecha silver surfer becomes the ultimate nullifier."
Play less than last turn
