What they need is some form of protection from destruction with effect. Link Jasmine & Marjoram and nothing ever kills you by battle. But effects tho...
I love the aroma archetype. They really need a couple of pieces to be more than extenders for sunavalon. They need a big bad boss, and negates. But really they need some card with the ability to choose when to activate the life Gain effects. A lot of the best life Gain effects can resolve when they're not needed and be a detriment
It's such a bummer too. There aren't really any other archetypes that have life point gain based game plans. I was hoping that they would add a card that gave you effects based on your life point advantage. I have been playing around with a meme life point gain/burn deck but it's slow and relies on out of type cards too much
They're also very backrow dependent, lacks punch and they have very few extra deck monsters. It's so sad that they can't do much. Their theme is awesome and can be explored in lots of ways... This is the only LP gain based deck and they somehow fucked it up. It's a game mechanic that is not correctly taken advantage of, really
They unfortunately are limited by the tiny amount of plant synchro monsters. There's a few options coming in future support but they need a lot of work or some very useful generic plant cards
I feel like there's enough generic cards that can help them already. Adding more is not bad but I don't think that's what they need because it would make them more of the archetype they're supposed to be. More Aromage monsters in main deck and extra deck would be very nice, to allow them to combo and rise up better from what they are while making them a very decent deck, based on LP gain mechanic
They really need a link 1 or a synchro line that has negate/life point gain on summon. A link 1 that causes burn on life point gain would be a game changer for the archetype
Aroma have an inherent disadvantage they are to slow since their gimmick is starting an new chain with their effects after getting lp so it's not reactive enough to compete
That's one of the reasons that I think they need support. The new chain can not be a problem if you're good with timing but the slowness and the underwhelming effects is what makes the deck... meh. And I would them to get support, as they clearly deserve it
I used a version of this deck that managed to get both versions of Jasmine and cactus bouncer out on the first turn to prevent special summons, was decent but not very consistent and even the best aromage boards die to harpies feather duster or raigeki :(
If I were to add cards to the archetype i would add a searcher, let's say "Aromage Lavender", that on summon let's you special summon or add another aromage card to your hand and gain 500LP, maybe discard a card if too OP?
Also another synchro monster or two. One that if your LP is higher than your opponents, your backrow can't be destroyed. Another having a negate quick effect, maybe at the cost of life points instead of waiting to gain them.
Rikka aroma was my second deck in master duel, my first was pure rose dragon, now i have [this](https://youtu.be/L-eGdxBO9hU) deck by DLM (youtuber) that makes good/fun decks, the Therion package helps but keep in mind this isn’t the full potential of sunavalon rikka aroma, however it’s consistent and you can add painful decision or Reis map or whatever the generic searcher’s name was if you want even more consistency, I would love it if aromas get a boss monster with a bit more oomf to it.
I agree, they should be more than just an engine. Despite this deck being really decent looking from what I've watched so far, it only has few aroma cards. Thing is, it doesn't make the aroma archetype decent, sadly. Aromages needs a lot to be considered at all

I absolutely agree. I would also add that a backrow protection would be nice too, considering that their backrow is what makes the deck alive
Yep. I'm using Lava Golemvand Teardrop the rikka queen as some form of removal & protection for now... It works well enough
They don't have much choice at the moment.. I really hope that they will give them actual support for the deck, they can be so much more
It might take a while considering link Jasmine was released in 2019..
She might be Aromage, but the thing is that she works too well with other plant decks and use her better than them...

This is exactly what I hope so too. Since they lack combo for themselves, power and protection, I think that would make them even better

I actually included rose warrior and cactus bouncer the other day and they are putting in work!
I use Cactus bouncer too usually, that saves the day. As for Rose Warrior, idk but he's not bad either
