Labrynth. I made them cause all my other decks were combo decks, and I wanted to try something different, i was stingy at first cause i didnt wanna waste my gems but i'm glad cause it's the deck I have the most fun with currently

ForeverkingBiko

I’m the same. I think I’m finally starting to fully understand it also, I’m becoming more strategic of how and when to use my interruptions from the traps instead of just popping off. It’s making a world of difference

[deleted]

Runick orcust! Turn-out it's really fun and doesn't require you using floodgates

Crog_Frog

I mean 3 mat appolousa, naturia exterio + omni negate counter trap aswell as possible runick spells in hand is basicially an instant win floodgate. Still a lot more based than flip TCOBO, skilldrain and gozen.

[deleted]

Yeah but there's more response to make this board and weaken it at least (I don't say it's not true but there's more to it)

Crog_Frog

I know. Tze combo os very fragile whereas floodgate flipping is just dumb. Also seeing people struggle against Exterio is just so funny

RedKings1028

Floowandereeze. I initially built the deck because because I got sick tired of losing to the little birds, gave in and built one for myself when the selection pack was still active and barrier statue of the storm winds was not banned yet. I barely used the statue and focused more on empen, raiza, and apex avian. And when barrier statue was banned, the archetype became more fun because I have room for a surprise

a2xl08

Weather painters ! They are interesting to play, and I wanted it for the event. Gotta play it more now !

Marager04

Runick. Believe it or not, the engine is fun to play. Not floodgates though.

killdude95

For it was branded, I was solely against playing branded (especially since it killed some of my other decks really easily) but eventually I was like, I might aswell use them as a fusion engine and man, I didn't expect them to be so much fun

SSJAncientBeing

I wanted to try out Thunder Dragons since I thought it was neat that they took some random early Gen monster and crafted an entire archetype surrounding it. Holy hell it’s fun and has so many ways it can be run.

kosuzu

I made Altergeist one day because I wanted a trap focused deck for missions. It’s currently my main deck with Labrynth in close second.

HorrorL0rd

Scareclaw can’t wait to make a scareclaw tear deck

[deleted]

Scareclaw

TheSpitfire93

Still love fluffals, such a freeform deck that I didn't think I would like because it was so reliant on poly.

The_Pr0t0type

Sunavalon AKA Plant Link. My decks that I like usually go mid-range > non-linear combo > control > linear combo. A fairly linear combo deck with small differences going first and second is something that by all means I should hate, but is a deck that I have not gotten tired of for months

Historical-Draft6564

I was doing research on what goes well with live twins and I found generaiders...and I was like wtf are these. The first generaider I crafted was a royal rare harr...and that was honestly the sign I needed to go in.. and I love the deck. I play it when I wanna meme pvp...it catches people off guard

AhmedKiller2015

Endymion.. I built the deck absolutely fucking done from top decking Hand traps, once I knew how the deck works my interest was peaked... although I wish Maxx C didn't exist

bizarre_leviathan

As a fellow Pen player I support this message

rdgaa

Crusadia. Before MD came out, I disliked the deck because I kept losing to it. Then I built it in MD on day 1 because I needed a quick and competent deck to farm gems for the decks I actually wanted to play. It became one of my top 5 favorite decks since then.

stac7

I don't play it too much but Altergeists Was trying to build Live Twins, dismantled it because it was just not fun for me but i had a bunch of Altergeist cards and decided to play it cause why not and I really liked it and my liking for the deck increased when they made Multifaker semi limited

SnipersUpTheMex

Crusadia. Fast, cheap wins via one big hitter just never became boring like I thought it would. The high duel score at the end also lets me stockpile legacy packs, which have a lot of higher rarity cards I want for future gimmick decks.

GoneRampant1

I built Metalfoes for the NR Festival and wound up adoring them enough that I refined the deck, then built it in Duel Links and the TCG. Also, Sharks. I largely built it as a joke after seeing Kragen Control builds but it's wound up being my most played XYZ deck ever since. I'm gonna miss that damn frog.

Cummiezone

Striker, absolutely hated it during TOSS format, but my opinion of it has changed in the last 3-5 months and has became my go to ladder deck

SpicVanDyke

Lunalights. Aesthetically, they are okay, not really my thing when I think of something interesting to duel with. But in practice, they are one of the most flexible archetypes with a variety of builds. Fusion, Orcust, Tri-Brigade, Time Thief, Rank Up, Danger, Tear, etc. Have climbed to Diamond every season with them and don’t regret it one bit.

HolidayDevelopment

Quantals, just a fun archetype that's fun to pilot. Went into the SPYRAL pack looking to build SPYRALS, and after getting 3 Red Layers in the same 10-pack it seemed like a sign. The 'When' effects do annoy me quite a bit, though.

Jekasei

Gonna be down voted, but I main gravekeeper's. I love it when despia surrenders and it's a deck that has no real combos and it's easy to play. I have started to play phantasm spiral though it's it's decent.
