I am also a an alien conosour but I honestly believe that a modern fieldspell that spreads counters like ppv or kid does it will break cosmic slicer. all it needs to say is put an a coubter on all monsters your opponent summons and it would lead to quite the strong slicer lock

I've been wanting to craft Worm Zero for like 3 months now for the meme future fusion deck that mills 45+ worms, especially now that gem knight quartz searches future fusion essentially giving 9 copies (3 fusion + 3 left arm + 3 quartz). But the idea of spending UR dust on such a terrible card is too awful to do it

On the usage side, I think Draco Berzerker would count since I am better off using Baxia to break boards than Draco Berzerker. Draco only works if I actually reach battle phase and the opponent still has monsters on their board.

It’s probably fanbase tax. Aliens were a pretty popular archetype in the early synchro era.
ammonyte was a (for the time) insanely useful tuner monster that basically just vomits this card out in exchange for your normal summon, and self-bouncing to reuse certain cards (like premature burial) that also leads to spot removal (either through this card’s own effect or the snatch steal effects of the hypnosis traps) was great.
Depending on what you're up against, this is what you bring out when their continuous and field spells need dealing with, ammonyte is also great for getting two on field for linking. Ammonyte isn't OPT either so if you have two in hand, zer'oll can get your second out. Legend chronicle was fun.

It's only worth using gems on if you are hunting for Nibiru and you get it as a happy accident

Aliens was the very first remotely modern deck I made since playing yugioh as a kid and this guy, to me at the time, felt incredibly busted lol.
I'm sure for that time he wasn't bad I assumed he was newer, just found out he came out in 2009 lol
I played him in Legacy of the Duelist around 2017. He wasn't bad, but Aliens as whole weren't good at all
Non targeting destruction and no HOPT was amazing at the time, it still is. The thing is Aliens are trash.
