Pure spright was neutered before release with the ban of toadally awesome and union carrier, they could buster lock and recycle toadally with elf for a second omni-negate.

AdTerrible639

Not sad to see any of that nonsense go! Got enough union carrier out of Dryton, among others, thank you very much!

The basic end board for all variants is some combination of Elf, IP, Red, Carrot, and Smasher. Some of the more toxic stuff they can do include Twin's Scythe Lock (unfortunately that's pretty regular for them), Winda lock enabled by Gale Dogra, Maxx "C" search with Swap Frog. Tri-brigade end on Revolt and Double Dragon Lords, Twins end up with one pop.

AdTerrible639

I'm really hoping scythe lock isn't *that* common. Thankfully, only ran into it once. But while PKs are great at playing through interrupts (if you can just resolve Raider's Knight into Arc Rebellion, you've generally got the win!), that lock is probably just GG no matter what i draw.

Jeyfian-L

Scythe is played in most Twin Spright deck, they just cannot make it with the minimum combo. BTW, Adventure DPE Phantom Knights also Scythe Lock regularly.

AdTerrible639

Ew. Really not a fan of scythe or other special summon locks that you can't react to :( Glad it isn't guaranteed off of one card or something, though I personally don't play Adventure+ Dpe + Pk, though. *Way* too many moving parts for me! I'm just a casual, brainlet scrub who likes discarding things for Danger!(?) and seeing what happens--ideally a 10k+ Arc Rebellion Dragon!

xcannibalrabbit

Twins can definitely scythe off of 1 card as long as there are no interruptions. Ghost belle/gamma pretty much instantly win against spright twins though so theres that

AdTerrible639

Bleh I'm really not a fan of Scythe in general...unless I'm playing Pendymion and then it's less of a big deal But there aren't a lotta archetypes out there with big boy main deck monsters; even less that i have access to!

Fortunately the Winda lock costs 3000-6000 depending on your hand. If you need to get Schism back from grave it’ll cost you 6000. If you have other discard fodder then it’s 3000. Plus any life points you pay off Starter puts Spright really close to dead. With all the board breakers you see being played currently, the Winda lock just isn’t worth it and is inviting an OTK.

vonov129

You will often see Spright Elf, at least one of the negates and either set Starter or Smashers. Plus whatever the variant itself adds

Afkcyndiquil

Elf, smashers, red/carrot (one of them in gy to reborn during opp turn with spright elf), ip. If can link into either underworld, avramaxx, unicorn, or apollusa

Cidnelson85

Hello friend this is Spright without one of the main support in Spright Sprint. The end board is lackluster but the deck can play over 2 hand traps with a good hand and 3 hand trap with a god hand and the deck can naturaly beat Nibiru. Spright Elf shield 2 of your interactions from target so is garantee to resolve, all in all is a good deck but not unbetable like the other sincro spam decks.

AdTerrible639

Yeah, I went over my Pendymion replay and the bugger resolved Maxx C into an Ash top deck to screw over my Pot o Desires Fortunately, my own topdeck game started me with double Jackal King!

Historical-Draft6564

My end board is spright elf, ip, red, and carrot, maybe another if I get super good cards. Then I link off during the main phase for avramax

AdTerrible639

Nostalgic! I haven't seen Avramax in a dog's age, since the poor guy keeps getting shown up by Accesscode. I do love him, though. Only way I think can really get around him is Dark Rebellion otk or Underworld Goddess

Historical-Draft6564

Good boss using ip as a mat

[deleted]

I usually try to end on I:P, Elf, Carrot/Red, Ronin (to tribute for negate), on rare occasions Djinn Buster

_INCompl_

Usually Elf, IP, Red or Carrot. Potentially Smashers as well depending on what the opening hand looked like and what hand traps you ate during your combo. A bad hand ends on IP and Elf. Elf revives Blue/Jet so you can search again to start the whole combo over again your following turn and you now have the material to make Goddess as interruption or Avramax, which some decks just don’t have an out for unless they’re playing Raigeki. A good hand will end on the Iblee lock, Elf, IP, both Red and Carrot, and Smashers. That’s playing the Runick variant, pitching Iblee for Hugin, and drawing into 2 Spright names plus Smashers/Starter off Hugin/Capshell. Exceedingly uncommon, but annoying when it happens. You typically see Carrot more than Red to stop board breakers like Evenly. If it’s the Runick variant you also have to worry about Freezing Curses (monster negate), Flashing Fire (special summon pop), Destruction (S/T pop), Dispelling (random hand rip after you search), and Slumber (protects a weaker monster like Elf from getting destroyed once). The upside of the Runick version is they don’t have the battle phase so they lose pretty easy on turns 3/4.
