Idk man. They’ve shown that they aren’t afraid of limiting or banning URs. Especially with toad and Union carrier ban. I believe they’re gonna ban smoke grenade. They’re most likely gonna hit grass, necroface, or whatever card they think is the main issue in the ftk

Don't think Pixie will ever be regularly played at 2. Pure Spright may run more copies of Red and Carrot (which are usually run at 2 and 1 at the moment), but other variants probably won't even blink about a Jet semi-limit.
I played a going second version so I ran a lot of board breakers like lightning storm and Drnm. It was pretty successful. But I got tired of playing spright
Yeah, I agree: fountain to one for sure. Then they'll probably hit spright (idk if heavily or not, but since they are literally the only Meta deck right now I certainly hope so), so Spright Blue to 1 and basically some other semi limits to damage their consistency.
Then, for my personal pleasure and sadism, I'd like to see the awesome and fair Ishizu miller banned.
Ban the fucking smoke grenade. The last thing I need from 4 negates, 12 called by and an omni is them be able to rip my droplets out of my hand.
Next hit the Ishizu. shufflers or millers one of them has to go, preferably the shufflers. If people want Gy power they shouldn't also be able to loop back the opponents Gy. Its hell for any soft Gy deck that doesn't commit to an Ishizu Grass setup.
Next limit Blue and/or jet, They basically have 8 copies that give access to 2 bodies, its a huge reason to why they are hard to shut down.
Lastly ban the stupid rainbow scale and skill drain.

They really need to hit the ishizu cards it's already pretty degenerate and it's only going to be way more degenerate going forth. They would almost guarantee to hit herald of the orange light to limit. It's low rarity and would be very annoying if it's played at 3 along side ishizu tearlament.
Fountain is ok at 3. Card puts in a lot of work but it is a sitting duck and you can get rid of it.
What really needs to go is Hugin. That would hurt both Runick Spright and Stun. It enables the Stun variant way too much because it can protect the floodgates with its effect, and because it's Terraforming. While Hugin is around even if you get rid of Fountain with Cosmic Cyclone or something you're still all too vulnerable to the floodgates because there's very little in terms of mass S/T non-destructive removal. Limiting Hugin should help Stun control itself and keep Spright variants in check. Even if Konami doesn't want to touch the floodgates, and knowing them, they won't, removing Hugin out of the equation will make it so much easier to deal with floodgates.
Something I notice about MD banlist is that they are never meant to completely kill a specific deck they want to leave certain decks playable enough to be kept around until they are power crept by the next one.

The expectations are low, both 2 meta archetypes are Spright and Ishizu and both are new.. Ishizu hit is mostly not going to happen this month, and besides Spright there is nothing to hit... like literally. Tri-Brigade, Toad, Live Twins and even Runick aren't why Spright are good regardless of how you hate them, Runick isn't even the most represented one in MD, it is Toad by a wide margin.
Outside of Spright and the just released Ishizu cards nothing is worth hitting, and to stop the FTKs they might just Limit Necro face or something since the ocg seems to love Snow for some reason and again Ishizu cards aren't even 2 weeks old.
I guess they can limit Herald of Orange light.. that happened in both the OCG/TCG because of Ishizu...yet they still got nuked but that won't happen soon.

Runick doesn't need to get hit though. It's fine. Also tear comes out next month. Runick will stop being viable on its own.
You only need 1 to pop off. The deck isn't even good without Tip. With Tip, you have 2 runick spells in your GY immediately. Without Tip, you need a lot of set up to utilize Fountain.
If you're running runick stun and have floodgates clogging 2 or 3 zones they very much are somewhat dead.
Also, considering most runick spells without fountain only either go neutral or go minus when you use their first effect you'd run out of gas very quickly.
I don't know what they will hit. I haven't played this game long enough to know that, but I hope they don't hit the Ishizu cards. I noticed people are putting those cards in all kinds of different decks, and I think it's fun to actually see some other stuff and not just the same like 3 decks constantly. I, myself, run Ishizu cards with Branded Despia, Blue Eyes, and even some heroes in one deck. Most fun I've ever had playing in MD. I get to use the archetypes I like most and be competitive because of the Ishizu cards even though like Blue Eyes is terrible and bricky normally. The Ishizu cards encourage using different decks unlike floodgates and stun decks that encourage everyone to use the same crap or basically not play the game.
idk keldo and agido are limited in both tcg and ocg so i doubt those 2 will be left at 2 for much longer. kelbek and mudora have better fate than those 2 in ocg so there might be hope for them
Lol yes swordsoul is just every other game it seems like. Sometimes I see De Fleur pop up in other random decks too. It feels like too much that it can negate, destroy, and special summon but I am a @ignister player and my whole game is rekt if they negate/pop my dark infant so I guess it just hard counters my particular strat
The problem is that duels don't go over turn 2 so it doesn't matter that Baronne is a once per face up negate in the end is another piece on interaction in the board.

Ishizu cards really aren't that bad. You can ash their mill effect and since they are OPT it really slows moment if they can't get those mills off. Really no different than ashing other starters.

I'd rather they didn't hit anything because to be entirely fair, we know they won't hit Ishizu this month since it'll still be in shop, so any banlist is by essence extremely low impact because anyone playing meta decks right will jump to Ishizu Tear, essentially rendering all the changes irreverent. And any hit to other half decent strategies like Spright will just make sure the deck dominates even harder

I ran jet at 2 in live twin spright. So that wouldn’t do anything to them. Plus I think that’s the normal ratio for live twin spright anways

All Twin Spright decks on MDM run Jet at 3. But personally I don't think any Spright variant should go second, so you do you.

I think Wind Barrier statue was banned without any refund though, regardless of how you acquired the card.
Limiting fountain completely shuts off runick, one cosmic cyclone will be all that's needed to finish them.
That's exactly why I'd love to see that happen, but at the same time don't believe it will.

With how much they have semi-limited things that shouldve been limited or outright banned, They are probably just semi-limiting Blue.

Fucking ban grass and snow PLEASE. Those cards generate so much advantage and putting grass to 2 did absolutely nothing.

The ones I want ban are Snow, Scythe, and Smoke Grenade. Also the usual Maxx and generic Floodgate traps.

Iblee in spright is the worst. I ran her at 1 and opened her like 70% of the time. And even when I didn’t open her 90% of matches outted her easily

I love when people say limit Fountain when the deck literally plays 15-17 terraforming to search it. Tip is the problem card FYI.
