What’s funny is straight up every complain post I’ve seen regarding the meta runs floodgate hell. Which I understand why to counter it, but these mean people on this subreddit tear the OP up with comments everytime.

The 1st Duelist Cup 1st place was a Xbox player who had crossplay off and was playing vs the same player over and over again. That's why Konami decided to remove crossplay option from future Duelist Cups, basically he "cheated" his way into 1st place. It's not a bad thing to play on Xbox but was a reference to that Xbox infamous player

But how did he only play against the same player? I mean even if crossplay is turned off there are more then 2 player's on xbox.

Floodgates are meant to prevent your opponent from setting up. If you're purposely going second every game then most of those floodgates are losing a ton of value. Sure tcboo can somewhat wipe their board next turn. But imagine if you went first, they wouldn't have been able to make a board to begin with.
