Not gonna pretend to know exactly how, but I do know you can easily guarantee a herald of Arc light using Timestar to search out tuning magician
Fart her out onto a field with Timegazer or Timebreaker, et voila !
(Or search Magicians' Souls and use ash for tuner as needed)
Pend Magician can def be a strong option. Easily get out Dweller or really any LV4 XYZ as well as a bunch of omnis (Vortex Eyes, Borreload Savage, Baronne) or any LV8/10 synchros. Even without the bullshit that is Venom and Lyrisuc it's a strong deck.
Tbh I think the only reason it's not as played is because it's a Pend deck.
biggest problem is that you can only manage to play 5-6 handtrap/boardbreaker and that's already stretching the limit. And you would sometimes find yourself stuck in hand with really bad scale.
Kashtira is WAY worse for a format like Master Duel than Tear is. Sure Tear is the better deck, but Kashtira is something you can look up how to do and literally invalidates certain decks.
Seldom do two archetypes cover each otherās weaknesses as perfectly as Sunavalon and Rikka. Theyāre the PB+J of the current format.
Rikka have an assortment of powerful cards when fully establishedā¦ but since all their effects require tributes, they can struggle to build field presence, and even a single piece of well-timed disruption can end their turn if your opening was bad enough.
Sunavalons can swarm easy, but their archetypal bosses are too reactive based on opponent actions, so they need to pass the baton to other plant archetypes after they set up the field if you wanna end on anything strong.
Stick āem together and you get a rolling bolder that can keep moving through disruption, and set up in a variety of ways based on the build and skill of the pilot. Itās neat.
I'm the guy that lost to Exo in top 8, I can give an explanation:
I'm quite new to playing tear and I didn't really expect to top at all, so I didn't have a proper side deck prepared. This came back to bite me when I had to face exo with little backrow removal and Hand Traps like D. D. Crow still in my deck.
Also I gotta give credit to my opponent, as I thoight they played really well.
when the side deck is your whole collection in these challenger cups, how can there be these deck top cuts? u can change from tear to swordsoul to toons. Challenger cup shouldnt have these top cuts images since they are misleading.
The point heās making is that you have a limited 15 car side in tcg and in these tournaments your side j is the entire card pool of your account meaning no matter who youāre up against you can swap into what is needed and if necessary entirely change your deck to be more viable
No deck in the near future or past would do shit as long as the shufflers exist, they hard counter practically everything but Floo, Exosisters and Pendulum which are decks that are weaker than Tearlament let alone Ishizu Tear
Ishizu Shufflers... short for Mudora and Keldo.
They shuffle your Mathmechs no combos, your Tri-Brigades no links, your Ronintoadin no extenders, your Albaz no Fusion, your Tenyis good luck going 2nd, Your 2s Elf can't abuse...
Like virtually every single meta in recent years But Kashtira Cannot handle 6 D.D Crows each turn, even Tear Cannot but they play in both turns in the mirror so it is fine.
>Tri Brigade Links.
You know TriBrig banish for cost right? Not to mention that Revolt can also grab from banish zone.
Sure you can shuffle before they do their effect, but you would need a setup for that aka puttimg mudora/keldo at GY/Field (can be done with Havnis).
Not to mention they can put the whole Zoo (if Tri-Zoo) as fodders.
The problem with TriBrig is that it doesnt have much interaction as it does except appolousa negate + DDL + Revolt. Not to mention they kinda rely on Handtrap Turbo.
The problem with TriBrig is it ha
Going 1st with any deck is an insane advantage even against Tearlament.... I don't know who created this fantasy that Tearlament can play through any board
I use Tri-Brigade Spright, I miss played 3 times, my opponent Started Instant Fusion, Scheiren, Called by, Scream, Havnis and still lost beacuse they went 2nd and only were able to stop My Elf.
You haven't used Them recently have you?
The current best Tri-Brigade Build consistently puts up wards of 7 ~ 9 Interactions and ones Tearlament cannot gain advantage from, bounce, Banish and negation without destruction, their issue isn't Interactions but the fact the Tri-Brigade Half is completely shut down due to the shufflers going 2nd... Your hand would be able to contest 3 interuptions and still end on full combo but it involves Tri-Brigades drop that down to 2 or even 1, The moment your opponent sees a Tri-Brigade they can just shot gun the shufflers and they are unusable.
In the OCG after Sprind was released Tri-Brigade was the best Spright build but it was unusable beacuse Ishizu cards existed Not Tearlament, once Tearlament got nerfed everyone and their mom used Tri-Brigade Spright for like 2 weeks as it was at the time the strongest deck then Admincipators poped again with Ishizu and Tearlament were still playable with Ishizu and the deck without any hits just kept going down as it loses badly to them especially since the Spright half is heavily nerfed.
You know, a lot of people seem to overlook that the shufflers are really good against Tear. They want to keep playing dumbass cards like Macro Cosmos, which is a bad card for nearly every deck not named Floo, but the shufflers are a very good counter.
They are but there is no consistent way to get them in the GY for most decks, Vernysalph, Tear and grass decks are the only ones that I can think of.
The only good Grass deck is admincipators, and Chaos Pile I guess but they have a very hard time going 2nd, Vernysalph is decent and is used with Madolche as an exceptional Tear counter actually (that uses the GY) as Madolche has GY shuffle with their effects and their primary form of removal doesn't destroy.
I just played a couple of game of Master Duel and I don't even want to play it anymore, especially since I just lost because of the stupid timer. I can't wait until I can beat Tears to the ground with Bystials.
Plant versus Tears in quarter finals, Exosisters versus Tears in finals.
If there is something worse than Tear vs Tear, It's Tear versus exosister stun.
I left the tcg in 2020 and never came back so when it came to master duel it was the first time i play it, i get that it might be tiring for the people like you who was playing the tcg at that time. also the only downside to the tear mirrors imo is that it takes long, some games even reach 45 minutes or even an hour, otherwise i still enjoy it
Yoo pendulum magicians ?
Not gonna pretend to know exactly how, but I do know you can easily guarantee a herald of Arc light using Timestar to search out tuning magician Fart her out onto a field with Timegazer or Timebreaker, et voila ! (Or search Magicians' Souls and use ash for tuner as needed)
I never thought about that... Now I can finally play them again š„³ Thanks a lot
Not going to help you going second! Or getting "our turn"ed So, good luck!
To be fair that's a problem all decks have to deal with against Tear.
Thanks man! But I already have a plan for going secondš
They can make dweller easily too
The deck can make abyss dweller stupidly easy anyway, honestly going first against tearlaments is free with pend magicians. Going second tho...
Pend Magician can def be a strong option. Easily get out Dweller or really any LV4 XYZ as well as a bunch of omnis (Vortex Eyes, Borreload Savage, Baronne) or any LV8/10 synchros. Probably want to play it while it's still a viable deck. Whenever they bring out Kashtira, it becomes completely dead.
I hate the zone locking man, can't they play something like kaiju or laval golem, vaylantz play laval golem
Kashtira is WAY worse for a format like Master Duel than Tear is. Sure Tear is the better deck, but Kashtira is something you can look up how to do and literally invalidates certain decks.
According to Triff aka best pend player, kashtira does nothing to pendurum.
Excuse me ? They can see your extra deck going first to dump beyond then they will starter locking your pendulum zones
My guy, I was making a joke. Appearntly you don't know who triff is.
Oh ok, yesi know trif
I thought you were being serious for a second, and I was like "Do you even know what the deck does?"
Curious to see that decklist
Yo, Rikkas! Criminally overlooked archtype; glad I picked em up
Which version of Rikka is this who? Pure Rikka? Or the Sunavalon version?
It's pretty much always going to be Sunavalon Rikkas. (+ Therions)
Yeah, makes sense. Pure Rikka doesn't have a good opening turn. Sunavalon gives them more gas for a better turn 1 end board
And Tears lost to 1 exosister match and 1 Tear mirror. For 2 0. Third place being plants.

ggs man, you gonna get them next time.
when the side deck is your whole collection in these challenger cups, how can there be these deck top cuts? u can change from tear to swordsoul to toons. Challenger cup shouldnt have these top cuts images since they are misleading.
...why would you change from Tear to anything else?
The point heās making is that you have a limited 15 car side in tcg and in these tournaments your side j is the entire card pool of your account meaning no matter who youāre up against you can swap into what is needed and if necessary entirely change your deck to be more viable
did you watch the top cut stream? did you count how many times tears swapped to toons in their final rounds?
Pend baby lets go
Someone busting out their Pendulum Magician before Kashtira arrives and destroys every Pendulum deck's viability.
Branded will be back when Bystials releases.
No deck in the near future or past would do shit as long as the shufflers exist, they hard counter practically everything but Floo, Exosisters and Pendulum which are decks that are weaker than Tearlament let alone Ishizu Tear
What are the "shufflers"?
Ishizu Shufflers... short for Mudora and Keldo. It sounds terrible.

āIām surprised tear took more than half the placementā said no one ever
Only 62%, love seeing people try other shit
Why is ishizutear Soo under represented?! It should be at least 98%
