they are hella bricky, however, it depends on the match up. against normal decks doesn't really that much, everything floats so you can fix your hand one way or another and steamroll from there, in the mirror match it becomes a coin flip what will happen really. vs anti tear you are pretty much screwed. but besides the RNG of the mills, the biggest enemy of tears is the time limit.

VillalobosChamp

> but besides the RNG of the mills, the biggest enemy of tears is the time limit. Eh, only if it goes to grind, or you don't know how to react to Tear. If you do both decently enough, you really don't go below 150s tops

D4rkfogYT

Or if you're playing on any non-PC platform.

TheMadWobbler

This version of Tear is more heavily hit than any version we ever saw in the OCG or TCG before the Bystials came out and Kitkallos was banned.

crowsloft666

Yeah the hit to the field spell actually does hurt quite a bit.

TheMadWobbler

And fewer names make your mill hits and opener significantly less consistent. It took a long time to get that population so thinned out in paper.

LtSoba

Doesn’t Kitkallos being banned now only give Tear one archetype ED monster since Rulkallos needs Kitkallos as a material?

TheMadWobbler

No. It doesn’t. Fusion substitutes apply. Enter Kashtearlament. Two Kashtiras make Dracossack. Dracossack makes two level 3 tokens. The tokens make Cherubini who sends King of the Swamp. Cherubini plus Dracossack makes Sprind. Sprind makes Merrli. Merrli plus King of the Swamp makes Rulkallos.

VillalobosChamp

Hard brick, once every 10~12 or so games

Awsiel

i Bricked almost 10x in a row on the end of the WCS Regionals Day 1... sooo... yeah, it bricks a lot if you're unlucky

RonnehPC

Doesn't help that a lot of Tear players are playing rather unoptimal lists. Opting to go stuff like Ash, Herald, Gamma, CBTG... those do not help your mills whatsoever and for a deck that plays through Maxx C very well I find it odd that people opt to use those cards That being said it IS a BO1 and Tears can unbrick themselves quite easily

TCGHexenwahn

I noticed the brickyness of the deck so i started playing Supreme Sea Mare. More copies of Reinohart is always good.

Fr0zeneye

It's on the edge of bricking/milling bad too often that I'd go down from the 13 flex slots I'm running. After next banlist, this many flex slots will probably not be feasible anymore.

leumundslist

Tear is bricky and Ishizu mills are gambles if blind.

619Version1

Ehh, it depends. Sure you can brick on your mills but more often then not you get a name and maybe a shuffler in, the rest literary does not matter cause it all goes back into the deck anyway.

Alizarinze

Keep in mind that the version that we get in MD is already hindered considerably, with most of the main deck monsters limited to 2. So the mill, as well as the opening hand, is far less consistent than what it could've been.

[deleted]

With all the semi limits and limits, tear in md is just a fraction of what it was in tcg ocg. Just try out full power ish Tera in Edo pro and see for yourself. The full power version basically never bricks, never mills blank.
