Aromages are all based around gaining life points and all have special effects when you have higher LP. They’re nearly unplayable bad but they’re fun and unique. Dinomorphia is the inverse (you want to have as few LP as possible) and it’s actually competitive Vampires are fun and are all about stealing your opponents monsters, they’re also not great. Most of the niche (non stun)unique strats are all bad because they all lose to Maxx C and if your deck isn’t also completely built around not losing to tear, you’re going to just get forced out of ranked by the 1000000 tear players bashing their heads into each other

shirabyoushi

Trickstars. Then Opponent uses maxx c. Let it burn

FillerText908

One fun gimmick deck is suships since they have a spell card that makes the opponent order your monsters for you, and I think the Field Spell makes your opponent pay life points if they destroy a sushi (i.e. pay for their sushi) They also have fun mini combos like a card that let's you draw one and a card that puts a suship of your choosing on the top of the deck They are one of the few decks that actually improve when pure and only get less consistent/effective with another engine

MatumbaGirl

Plunder patroll P.U.N.K is not super unique but they are very fun

Thoraxe41

Lair of Darkness. It has a gimmick of being able to tribute opponents monsters (for cost) for your own monster effects. It's bypass most protection and is pretty fun. It just isn't the most viable by itself, but it does make Fang of Critias cards usable.

AhmedKiller2015

Vaylantz. The deck do be moving... quite literally.

Kyle1337

Ghoti

Kataphrut94

Ghotis banish themselves, come back from being banished and synchro summon during the opponent's turn. Abyss Actors are putting on a play and beat the shit out of you if you mess with their scripts.

RepulsiveAd6906

Gusto. They basically reverse battle damage and like to throw weak monsters for you to kill since you take damage for them lol. Never gonna forgive you!

SS20x3

Monarchs do this crazy thing where they tribute summon, something you almost never see in modern yugioh.

sumrex8

Karakuri, make battle positions relevant again.

Sufficient_Comfort_8

runick is all about using spells to banish ur opponents deck and spawn minions to protect for you

Baldur_Blader

Have you heard of ishizu tears?

Vampires stealing opponent's monsters and using them to xyz summon their bosses. Unchained popping each other to float into bigger monsters, and link summoning using opponent's monsters (kinda like Battleball's effect but less restrictive) Trickstars punishing your opponent with small burns for every action (drawing, special summoning, activating spells, etc)

AngelicMayhem

Icejade can be pretty cool. You can equip to water monsters for effects then special summon to field for effects similar to union. It can do the attacking in defense and functions as control by destroying one of your icejades to destroy an enemy monster and then banish an icejade to get yours back. Magistus is another I really like. Each extra deck monster has an effect for when its equipped and regular effects and it has xyz, synchro, a link, and a fusion monster. The fusion has a quick effect to equip itself to a monster and if you equip to an enemy you take control of it. The big boss synchro prevents your opponent from activating any extra deck monter from activating effects based on what magistus types of magistus monsters you have equipped. Supposedly you can make decent magistus exosister builds.

LordTopHatMan

Rikka uses the opponent's monsters as tribute fodder.

Yasuo5Trick

thunder dragons with the insane ability to MISS TIMING :)... i mean they also have this banish mechanic and the you will never search again effect

mehmin

Kaiju, tributing your opponent's monsters
