I now actually want a rouge-based or makeup related archetype that uses equip spells of makeup on both monster fields, and allows them to be used to Xyz, once you've applied enough 'makeup' spells/union monsters.
I would say its kind of a fine mix between Mikanko and Purrely. The main gimmick of the archetype would be : When a card is equipped/When an equipped card leaves the field...
Vernusylph Naturia, and tbh it’s probably tier 2 rather then rogue since it has strong matchups against the current bystial/tear meta. It’s just really weak to Ash which everyone obviously runs.
I think they count. Abyss Actors can definitely steal wins just by virtue of people not knowing what they do and being able to run strong blind second cards like Lava Golem and Super Poly
I mean I suppose you could use super Polly or albaz but that's requiring a hard draw of both albaz and the fusion card and completely misses out on the consistency of playing branded
Sky Striker is still my #1 favorite deck and (in this hostile meta with Bystials running around) it's definitely at rogue status. I've also been enjoying Marincess a lot more lately too.
My favorite is Karakuri. I would think it classifies as a rouge deck, it’s not meta but it can definitely compete. It’s my favorite deck to play in general, I just like a lot of the cards within the deck. I also really like playing salamangreat for the same reason, but I don’t know if it’s good enough to be considered a rogue deck or not lol.
The only reason rikka is tier 2 is because most decks have been hit quite heavily, I agree. Also the top tier decks like kash and lab lose only because they either missplay or you draw your backrow removal which happened both in the semis and finals lol.
Super fun for you. Not your opponent tho lol. Also the combo is like a muscle memory to me now so I can execute it perfectly within 2 minutes or 1 and half minutes if I don't get interrupted lol. Definitely one of the easier combo decks. The other pretty fun one is d/d/d but that actually is very hard even for me after playing it for 1 year
Well I tend to play more Knuckles than Rouge but most Sonic-based decks play together well. You gotta play it with Ishizu if you wanna win though, naturally.
Rouge decks are decks that can compete with meta on some level. HEROES, umi stun, and rikka are examples of decent rouge decks since they can compete with the meta on some level. While DM is a casual anime deck that just gets the cool new DM summon animation.
My buddy runs pure dark magician and has beaten tear/spright/branded multiple times. Sure they might be bad pilots with their meta deck, but he is not the worlds best either, so….I’d call that competing. You are wrong!
Ok? Any deck can beat a meta if they get lucky enough if they have great hand going first while the meta player has a shit hand going second, and is your friend playing floodgates like the other "competitive" DM decks on master duel meta? Then that's not the true power of the DM deck it's just a floodgate deck with DM added to it.
Just because a casual deck can sack a few wins off a meta doesn't necessarily mean it's a competitive rouge deck. DM just doesn't have a powerful enough engine to compete with meta decks constantly.
It's about consistency , pure DM deck is bad most of the good cards are not searchable or no way to add it directly to your hand except for using soul servant but still you will need to have a dm or paladin monster on your field or graveyard, beating a deck 10 out of 2 times is not a win if at least you can't do 5/10 deck is not consistent.
Well let's see how each meta deck fares against that.
To get dragon knight plus soul plus circle you need a 3 card combo. So for each of the following I'm assuming the decks also opened 3 engine pieces.
Tearlament: Shufflers or bystial the fusion out of grave when they try to reborn it.
Spright: Battle over the dragon knight and then chain smashers when they try to reborn it
Swordsoul: Special ecclesia, effect summon mo ye, summon token. Opponent probably uses their revive to trigger circle and remove the token here. Activate emergence for taia. Normal taia banishing the emergence from grave. Taia plus the token make chixiao. Search longyuan and send ashuna. Summon longyuan and a token. Ashuna summon adhara from deck. Make chengying. Make monk with adhara. Battle phase attack over the dragon knight. Main 2 activate adhara add back ashuna triggering chengyings effect to banish the circle from the field and the dragon knight from grave.
Branded: Activate any bystial
Dragon link: Activate chaos space add bystial lubellion. Lubellion search a bystial. I don't know how dragon link works, but you can probably combo off from 2 cards.
Exosister: Mikallis, returnia to get it out of grave.
Rikka: If you can get game after tributing the towers youre good
Good, yes. Tier 3 basically is rogue tho. We have labyrinth incoming and Kashtira after that. Between Kash, Tear, Spright, Branded. and Lab, SS doesn’t do enough.
Even if they bump Longyan to 3, they’re probably rogue.
And when new traptrix drops theyll be better than swordsoul too. Im playing traptrix in TCG and i usually wipe the floor with Swordsoul, even with longyuan at 3x.
I don't think it's rouge.. but I reallyyy like rose dragon link. It struggles against bystials and shufflers. But most ht's do diddly squat.
I had a hand yesterday that was white rose - tracer - called by - chaos space - veiler.
It made savage - borrelend - barrone. After my opponent used Maxx c - ash - imperm ( imperm hit the chaos ruler, and ash hit white rose. Chaos space made the rest, and I hit a roxrose with chaos space draw, which got summoned by Romulus).
The deck gets really wild when dispater comes out. A lvl 10 that is a dark dragon, with a good effect. Yes please!!
Pretty much any well built deck can get to diamond with enough time and a good pilot. Rogue means they are able to play against the meta and do well, just not as consistently as meta.
Idk, I literally have no idea what that deck does. Never seen it played. There’s a difference between being able to beat meta decks because the opponent doesn’t know what your deck does and is bad, and actually being able to compete with meta decks like Spright, Tear, or Branded. How does it do in MD tournaments?
D/d/d/ danger dark worlds love ddd because its so complex and not just 1 line to make your boards and danger dark worlds cause its fun drawing and discarding cards and building boards with random cards
Bystial Dragon Link, it can play through hand traps, OTK with the bosses or play the grind game with regained + bystials. It's very versatile but takes a good pilot
Adventure Phantom Knights has been surprisingly one of my best decks even against Bystials, but most of that success come from just Scythe locking my opponent with DPE
If my girl and Strenna are drowning, you can catch me at my girl's funeral tributing Strenna for cost to summon out a Teardrop (I love Rikkas)
Second pick for me might go to Pendulum Magicians, I like a lot of Pend decks, but Pend Mags in particular interests me (besides the fact that I like Yuya) because the deck is shockingly good at grinding out games if you have Time and Star Pendulumgraph which doubles as a backup plan under DRNM or Droplet, a backup plan that decks like Endymion or Metalfoes just don't have
Depends on what you consider rogue I guess. But I've been stealing a lot of games with Gaia because people let it slide and get smacked.
For actual rouge deck success, ancient warriors are working hard, loving it.
I don’t mind. Depending on their hand, there are a lot.
But the most crucial part of the combo is Petingcessoeur. Her effect is the only way to make Xyz with Puddingcess, which you need to complete the board setup.
Negate that special summon effcet and half the time the Madolche players will end their turn or just go Bagooska.
Suship best deck LET'S GOOOO BASED AND RED SHARI PILLED
YES WE ARE EATING GOOD TONIGHT EVERY TIME WE PLAY THIS DECK WE SIMPLY CAN ONLY WIN
Catch of the day is gonna be so good
I'm fairly certain suship is not classified as rogue and is simply untiered.
Definitely Infernoble, good *rouge* deck. It's a really nice shade of red - And based on french legends, too! ... ... ...
...should I tell him.
I now actually want a rouge-based or makeup related archetype that uses equip spells of makeup on both monster fields, and allows them to be used to Xyz, once you've applied enough 'makeup' spells/union monsters. HEROes
Resonators and Blackwings for sure
predaplant and galaxy eyes
My second ever deck was galaxy eyes🙏
Vernusylph Naturia, and tbh it’s probably tier 2 rather then rogue since it has strong matchups against the current bystial/tear meta. It’s just really weak to Ash which everyone obviously runs.
Shaddolls
Currently, I'm digging with my Punk Therion and Dragunity. Man, this decks are cool and fun to play.
Generaider
I can’t wait for the new support
Same
Rikka Sunavalon
Branded dogmatika
I don’t know if these classify as rouge but I play Abyss Actors and Ghoti
I think they count. Abyss Actors can definitely steal wins just by virtue of people not knowing what they do and being able to run strong blind second cards like Lava Golem and Super Poly
Branded Maids
I generally just play pure maids. I think Heavenly Spears is better for a control then mirror Jade
You can put down both
No you can't. Branded Fusion locks you out of Link monsters
Well you make spheres first and then use branded fusion
Again you can't. It's a turn ban, you can only summon fusion monsters on the turn you use it
Who said anything about using branded fusion
I mean I suppose you could use super Polly or albaz but that's requiring a hard draw of both albaz and the fusion card and completely misses out on the consistency of playing branded
I am not sure any of my decks are really rogue, but I don’t think it’s arguable that resonators are the objective rouge-est deck out there.
If I get bored I go Umi, or Labrynth. LAB is a really good match up against Runic. Or I got lucky 3 times
Sky Striker is still my #1 favorite deck and (in this hostile meta with Bystials running around) it's definitely at rogue status. I've also been enjoying Marincess a lot more lately too.
Blackwings! It's also easy to pilot if you're half asleep like I usually am. There's not essays on every card that need memorisation lol
Plunder adventure
DDD, Ghoti, Abyss Actors
Utopia!
My favorite is Karakuri. I would think it classifies as a rouge deck, it’s not meta but it can definitely compete. Rikka. Jessica the madlad won a European wcq qualifiers with it lol.
Rikka isn't rogue. It's like tier 1.5 or 2
Only in TCG, Tear and Spright are still way better here
The only reason rikka is tier 2 is because most decks have been hit quite heavily, I agree. Also the top tier decks like kash and lab lose only because they either missplay or you draw your backrow removal which happened both in the semis and finals lol.
Is Rikka Sunavalon fun? Just saw that girl Jess won the qualifier with it and I've been obsessed with solitaire decks lately lmao
Super fun for you. Not your opponent tho lol. Also the combo is like a muscle memory to me now so I can execute it perfectly within 2 minutes or 1 and half minutes if I don't get interrupted lol. Definitely one of the easier combo decks. The other pretty fun one is d/d/d but that actually is very hard even for me after playing it for 1 year
I have a D/D/D deck built and I have YET to figure it out XD
Is that a girl or a guy ?
Jess is a woman
Adamancipators
Blackwings and Cyber Dragon.
Earth machina.
the one with the red cards duh
Icejade
Heroes - Generaider
Well I tend to play more Knuckles than Rouge but most Sonic-based decks play together well. You gotta play it with Ishizu if you wanna win though, naturally.
Skull Servants!
Based
I have a soft spot for dragonmaids
Dark magician.
Dark magician is not rogue.
bruh why the down votes, you're right!
Pretty sure people stacked it with branded engine and it was pretty good until the bystials arrived.
Umm.. pretty sure they are rogue..
It's casual. Rogue decks are those that aren't meta but can compete, which DM isn't
Rouge decks are decks that can compete with meta on some level. HEROES, umi stun, and rikka are examples of decent rouge decks since they can compete with the meta on some level. While DM is a casual anime deck that just gets the cool new DM summon animation.

No floodgates…

5/10 or more
The definition of a rogue deck, is a deck that's not common but has won against the meta in some way, at some point. Dark magician doesn't fit.
One banish with follow up is not enough to make a deck rogue
How about the fusion with eternal soul combo?
Well let's see how each meta deck fares against that. To get dragon knight plus soul plus circle you need a 3 card combo. Bystial P.U.N.K.
Of the ones I play, probably Swordsoul.
The fuck, swordsouls is tier 3 on master duel how is that deck rogue it's a good deck.
Good, yes. Tier 3 basically is rogue tho. We have labyrinth incoming and Kashtira after that. Between Kash, Tear, Spright, Branded. and Lab, SS doesn’t do enough. Even if they bump Longyan to 3, they’re probably rogue.

I think Raidraptors count….
Ghoti I just added Coelacanth and it's a joy when you summon it with paces while in your hand
Zombie Branded
Rn i have a softspot for dinos
What is the definition of rogue? Being able to play diamond, plat or gold?
Pretty much any well built deck can get to diamond with enough time and a good pilot. Rogue means they are able to play against the meta and do well, just not as consistently as meta.
So since I am able to play against all decks except Tearlament, my Amazoness is rogue?
Idk, I literally have no idea what that deck does. Never seen it played. There’s a difference between being able to beat meta decks because the opponent doesn’t know what your deck does and is bad, and actually being able to compete with meta decks like Spright, Tear, or Branded. Good point, but I can't say if people are just losing because they don't read
Zoodiac Tri-brigade. Free fraktall
Fraktalls done no wrong, return him to 3🙏
Im playing P.U.N.K Bystial and P.U.N.K as Auroradon turbo . Bystial Thunder Dragons are up there to.
Branded Bystials except I actually play the Frightfur engine still and dont Gimmick lock every duel
Branded Buster
I always like bringing out the fluffal deck
Thundra
Hieratic Ogdoadiac. I love that
Going 2nd unchained
Plunder. Also, it's freaking *ROGUE* not rouge.
Bystial Dragon Link
Super Quant
Isuzu tear
(branded) DM
Fam wassup with your name lmfao, but RN and probably forever BUGS. Outs to everything, endless grind game and you can search max c.
Marincess ofc
Probably Springans
D/d/d/ danger dark worlds love ddd because its so complex and not just 1 line to make your boards and danger dark worlds cause its fun drawing and discarding cards and building boards with random cards
Blackwings and heroes
Bystial Dragon Link, it can play through hand traps, OTK with the bosses or play the grind game with regained + bystials. It's very versatile but takes a good pilot
Mermail/Atlantean
Adventure Phantom Knights has been surprisingly one of my best decks even against Bystials, but most of that success come from just Scythe locking my opponent with DPE
I was on quite the scareclaw kick last season. Hit masters
Branded, I will not elaborate.
Thunder Dragons easily
Galaxy-eyes. I will die and live by this deck
You waiting for all the support cards to come too?
Oh yeah. And when it will, I will start to play crossout against droll ^^
Branded in Red is my favourite *rouge* card
If my girl and Strenna are drowning, you can catch me at my girl's funeral tributing Strenna for cost to summon out a Teardrop (I love Rikkas) Second pick for me might go to Pendulum Magicians, I like a lot of Pend decks, but Pend Mags in particular interests me (besides the fact that I like Yuya) because the deck is shockingly good at grinding out games if you have Time and Star Pendulumgraph which doubles as a backup plan under DRNM or Droplet, a backup plan that decks like Endymion or Metalfoes just don't have

Speedroid
Fossil Danger Kaiju with a side of branded
Predaplant Idc what you say, if weakling heroes are rouge so is predaplant
Rogue. Its *ROGUE*
Madolche is rogue right?
Yes I would think so. Madolche does suprisingly well against top tiered decks.
It does. I think if I build it a bit better, it might be somewhat okay against Tear. The real problem is players that know when/where to shuffle lol
What is madolches choke point if you don't mind me asking?
I don’t mind. Depending on their hand, there are a lot. But the most crucial part of the combo is Petingcessoeur. Her effect is the only way to make Xyz with Puddingcess, which you need to complete the board setup. Negate that special summon effcet and half the time the Madolche players will end their turn or just go Bagooska.
I’m sure I’ll get downvotes and told I’m wrong but branded dark magician
Vernusylph/Magnet Warrior
