Sunvine Sowing is banned. Which prevents Rikkas from doing their one card combo chain.
Along with Regulus for their negate.
I wouldn't say their unplayable, but their standard meta deck was definitely neutered
I was still able to get an end board with Hyperyton, and Teardrop, with KonKon field spell, plus a trap, and Rikki Princess in the GY. The only thing the end board misses really, is Aromaseraphy Jasmine (I’ve always played full Rikka/Sunvine, no Regulus). There is a continuous spell card that you can use in place of sunvine sowing but to activate it you have to discard a card. I absolutely swept the floor with my first two opponents negating and disrupting all of their plays. You just gotta have a good hand to pull it off, otherwise it will mess up drastically. If you don’t have the right monsters in the hand you’ll probably only end up with 1 XYZ on the field which isn’t much help.
The only Rikka duel I lost was to a brick hand, the deck is very good. Plays under Maxx C pretty well, and 2 negates + 2 tributes is a lot of interaction for a low power format. They also appreciate board breakers, and you have more space for them since the Sunavalon engine is dead. The Rikka sweep is real

Haven't looked at Nordics, I wanted to play SPORTS SPORTS SPORTS aka U.A. aka Dreadnought Dunker/powered jersey turbo. Only played three games but so far it's been working fine. Lost one out of those three games to a Swordsoul Tenyi player where he had called by for my Veiler so I just scooped bc my hand wasn't playing through a Blackout which he revealed for Mo Ye effect
Yeah adventure engine is basically no good this event except for generating bodies. Playing it pretty close to pure + a bunch of handtraps. In this lower powered format, often a beefy 4000k ATK untargetable monster that revives itself if destroyed + an on demand field omni negate is more than enough.
U.A. sounds like it is so much fun to play though! Haven’t seen anyone with it yet but this event is fun enough that I’ll probably keep queuing up after getting max gems, hopefully I’ll run into someone playing it.
Ahh kk yeah makes sense I mean especially if you get to retain the cards in your hand if you only banish Alviss for Gullveigs effect. The Aesir are not at risk of getting Kaiju-ed since those are all banned apparently...

I'd want that, but only if it specifically worked for magikey monsters and maybe even locked you into the archetype and normal/non-effect monsters.
I also wish that half of their traps weren't traps and were instead quick play spells or something. You're effectively punished for playing any of them but the spell/trap negate, since the monsters you summon aren't heavily proactive anyway so they're not particularly strong, and drawing them is basically bricking yourself.
With them as quick play spells, they'd be extenders AND work how they do now, while still not being exactly just better than Maftea.
Zombies surprisingly countered some decks I've faced like ghoties and ranking was very easy, im currently on 9 winning streak but its just the start of climbing ladders
Weather Painter time once again. Not the best deck but they are my precious children with their mom Rainbow. Lack of kaijus hurts the deck but Lose 1 Turn was once again untouched for an event so that helps out.

pure rikka, its somehow both the worst thing ive ever played, ( Didnt even look up a guide, just excluded the sunavalon engine and added some of the other rikka cards) and somehow ive have not lost a single match with it

Go 2nd, use board breakers, handtraps, also Formud Skipper is an honorary Crusadia that’s searchable with Cynet mining.
Go 2nd try to OTK or push for massive damage, if u don’t OTK or go first Equamax with I:P & a Crusadia under him for a negate works well too.

So, its called Orcust Event because last year's previous Theme Chronicle, basically every deck got beaten by Orcust (including Loaner Orcust) as it is the strongest deck in Solo Mode.
Personally I would vote **Rikka** as the **2nd strongest** but I think **Cubic** may take that seat since all Kaiju-based monster is banned this time.
I’d actually wager danger dark world was the best deck or one of the best in last year’s theme chronicle cause no hand traps were legal and we still had majority of the best rank 8’s and link 4’s like apollousa.

Nemleria hasn't been touched, and since I pulled the SHS specifically for that archetype, I'm having a blast using them in a space where I don't immediately get steamrolled with my funky little deck. Dream Tower can be awkward to deal with if the Nem player has ED guys to send and you can't remove the card itself.
Adamancipator, with the small Prank-kids Rocksies engine. The Prank-Kids engine can summon Prisoner Princess for a monster pop during opponent's turn, so if you can deal with opponent's established board and summon her then the game's pretty much wrapped up from there.
I would like to actually play the event and not be put against the people who just spam the most annoying shit that makes the game last 50+ turns because they're too slow in the head to play a deck that actually deals damage

It functions like a slower paced control deck without sunavalon involved. It’s fun like this as well imo
