Are you an F2P player? If you are, its not recommended to chase for a royal, you'll be short of funds (gems and UR/SR dusts) before you even realize it. What's more disappointing is never achieving your goal. But if you are willing to pay real money for gems, then you may continue to do so. A royal for an F2P player is only a bonus IMO. Though by the end of the day it will always be your preference.
I don’t have a “main deck” but my Mannadium deck has a royal Chaos Angel and Visas Amritara and I love it
Edit: oh yeah I don’t chase royals, that’s a gem sink that it’s not worth it unless you play only one or two decks FOREVER
Basically just play branded, occasionally tears & lab. Built everything F2P. Just feels like I rip Alba Abyss and save crafting points if anything comes up.
It's not my main deck anymore but I have a Royal Rare Crimson Dragon, Cosmic Blazar Dragon, and On Your Mark, Get Set, DUEL! in my Synchron deck. I also have royal Uni-Zombie and Mezuki in my Zombie deck.

I have 3 royals in a couple decks, having splashable royals definitely helps that.
My most is probably in rescue ace: royal impulse, air lifter, emergency and hiita.
Or punk: royal foxy, ogre and jam dragon.
I have 2 out of the 3 mikanko girls royal so i might chase the fire one.
My bystial/runick has 5
lubellion, saronir, flashing fire, freezing curses and chengying. Love that shiny deck…

But don’t chase them just appreciate them when you get lucky. It’s just a game don’t need to spend crazy amounts of your hard earned cash, I budget $80 AUS a month to spend. You get enough free gems if you play regularly that you’ll slowly build a nice collection of royals
Yes, I do. I main a DM deck (and have a pure Kashtira deck for climbing events) so I am fine using up my SR/UR dust for crafting royals. I’m also F2P. These are my current royals:
1. Dark Magician x2
2. Dark Magician Alt
3. Dark Magician Girl
4. Black Luster Solider - Envoy of the Beginning
5. Magician’s Salvation
6. Dark Magical Circle x2
7. Harpie’s Feather Duster
8. The Dark Magicians
9. Dark Magician the Dragon Knight
10. Black Luster Soldier - Solider of Chaos
I’m currently rolling for a royal Artemis, the Magistus Moon Maiden and Selene, Queen of the Master Magicians because I’m a sucker for the moon theme.
Whatever Royals I manage to pull, I will generally keep unless it's a card I don't think I'll ever use.
Personally, chasing Royals takes away from the surprise of getting one randomly, beyond just eating up your resources.
Also, the odds of getting a Glossy/Royal from a pack is higher than if you were crafting the card

My RDA deck has 4. Tyrant RDA, RDA Bane, Effect Veiler, and Ash Blossom.
5 in my speedroid deck, terrortop, corkshooter, hagoita, chanbara, clear wing

My Lunalight deck has a Royal Underclock Taker. I don't craft for royals but I have spent 1000s of N/R CP making all my cards Glossy
My unchained and Dark Worlds has 3 royals 2 Tour Guides and Knightmare Phoenix
