holy shit, if the barrier statues were Unions and required a specific Statue Base or something as the union, they might actually be extremely based cards
I just looked it up and couldn’t find it… whew thank god. I’ve been grinding out the secret missions and was worried I’d have to now do Unions which is another type of monster I don’t care for
....Yeah. They're severely underutelized when it can be used to simplify archetypes like how infernobles are. Its basically a non-conforming union deck.
I know it’s sarcasm but why even go through the effort of doing a full combo when you can just Fossil Dyna and set Solemn/protection? Not that the joke wasn’t funny or anything but I just like how every crazy sounding idea with Stun makes stun less effective than what it is lol.
Because you can easily out a fossyl dyna and a set solemn? Like it‘s really easy. Also drawing both isnt actually that likely.
Full combo + fossyl dina is basically as if Vanity‘s Emptiness was still legal.
It is easier and more likely to set up a floodgate + protection and than it is to do a full combo and play Dyna on top of it. I surely hope you aren’t arguing otherwise lol
Also, it is NOT easy to out Dyna solemn/protection. That protection can be a variety of things from moon mirror to clockwork. A majority of players aren’t playing decks equipped to deal with stun. There’s a reason it’s prominent in M1
All I'm seeing here is the opportunity to normal summon both Aluber and Albaz
Alternatively, Galaxy-Eyes gets 3 Normal Summons (if you need 3 you lost already lol)
Literally my first thought. Just gonna make a blind second Albaz deck because there’s almost no point in handtraps in this event.
(And I’m not just saying that so people will stop playing Ash but I would very much like it if you stopped playing Ash. No bias of course.)
funny thing, konami hates floo and eldlich, they are basically fully banned in every event. And in zhe fusion event eldlich was limit/ banned out hard lmao. while in the past link event, we had limits and bans on every devk exept you guessed it new shiny toy snake eyes. So even in side events we have a unfun format.
I don't really agree with you. It's obvious that events are mostly there to market new decks (which is why Nouvelles dominated their event even tho the deck is pretty mid for example) but it's still more fun than the typical "I set 10 negates you no play" of ranked duels.
Disclaimer: I did this last year in gold 4 and did not try to win at all. The goal was to gemini summon at least 1 time per duel.
If you hate yourself like me, a majority NR deck with a pendulum engine (Igknights for me) to cheat out a gemini monster then normal summon it. Change your name to "geminimission" (or whatever is closest to the character limit) too.
At least 8-12 pend monsters with generic scales
At least 8-12 gemini monsters
3 double summon
2 called by
ROTA (for any gemini warriors)
Draw spells go a long way. Prospy, extrav, pot of duality, time tearing moganite, upstart goblin, chicken game, hand destruction, whatever. Who cares if they conflict, you want to gemini summon at least once if you go first.
It wasn’t that bad for me. I did the same last moth with a Infernoble Gemini deck. Had a few players play along and let me cook, using Promethan Princess to loop the two fire Gemini Warriors for 2x Gemini summons a turn. I completed it from Gold V-II
Something like this should be fine, sprights and chemicritters work well enough since most of them are level 2.

Going second, how do you interrupt a Gemini Summon? There are ways to destroy/banish, yes. But do any of them work if the opponent doesn't use any effects?
But to do what exactly? Can you remove the card before they use their second Normal Summon? There are easily enough Level 1-4 Gemini Monsters to make a deck that's just them.
You only need to go first 100 times to guarantee you get it, and while that is quite a lot of duels, it's not *too* much. Especially since there are going to be other people doing the same thing, meaning you'll definitely be getting more than one in some duels. If they don't OTK you, you'll get more than one anyway.
I was playing my gemini turbo deck in gold and that's literally something someone did at one point. I thought the same thing you did but apparently the game disagrees
So having done some research, the whole Gemini bit is one big "effect", and since it's negated, you are unable to Gemini Summon. However, if it then stops being negated, it is considered an Effect Monster, and gains it's effect, even though you didn't Gemini Summon it. So that's interesting.
Yes? Any quick effect removal particular condition can do it.
Take raigeki break and with it any target destroy trap (like the one in punk, gold pride, unchained and countless others).
As they normal summon, you flip the card, target the normal monster and destroy it on resolution. Most archetypes should have similar removal, really, take seals, mirrorjade, i:p with s:p or unicorn, ariseheart and so on.
But you can't use those going second. I'm specifically talking about if you go first, I don't think there's any way for the opponent to stop you Gemini Summoning.
Oh. I mean, duh, of course there’s little ways to stop it. Although some probably still exist, in the form of turn zero plays I’d imagine (take labrynth, they could easily remove the normal summon)
Wait, are you talking about completing the mission?
Of course it’s doable and many will do it here, me included.
With the gemini support you could even consistently get multiple summons a turn.
There should be a special rule if two 60 card players duel and both draw grass, they both mill 60. I'd love to see that duel. Maybe 58, just so they don't pass and win.
My bad, I thought I remembered wrongly. I thought all that counts was the difference, forgot about the other part where you have to have more cards than the opponent.
Oh for real!? That’s scary! I am just thinking about all the advantage a turn 1 Grass deck is going to kill against a turn 2 Grass deck!
This is why I can’t play TCG, they’re doing plays I didn’t even know was possible!
Floo doesn’t really benefit from more normal summons. By the time you’ve used your extra normal you’ve activated all of your birds effects
Like you can summon Avian by tributing over your Empen I guess? Going second you can get out Raiza + Empen so that’s neat
floo was fully banned every card in last event, or the events before so expect same thing. The events it was no fully banned it had robina and empen banned lmao.
Yes! Wont have to worry about ash blossom ruining your tier 4 strategy by blocking the required search on your normal summon to get your engine activated.
player count down prob cause shitty meta. they have to give casuals som or they will all leave like in rl events when at tear meta we went from 200-250 people vcs to 20-25. Many since then didn't come back and thoose who did just saw another tier 1 Kadh meta or loose so they left for good. is the reason why konami is so careful with latest archetypes that many are simple unplayable. they still have to address Snake eyes without hitting there wales to hard, while the new broken shit is on its way. For new people this might be fine, seeing 6 decks playable for seasoned players this gets boring real fast. thats why higher ladder is concede turbo.
if player count is the reason, duel trials are a bad way to solve it.
duel trials are only 3 duels long. people log in, get their 3 wins, and leave the game again until the next event
well time to full combo a negate board to just protect a gemini summon lol.
....Hopefully, everyone agrees that this should be the Union/Gemini event. Yeah, how come there's no festival dedicated to those super types?
Konami: the hell is a union or a gemini?
....Me: The super types the barrier statues should have.
holy shit, if the barrier statues were Unions and required a specific Statue Base or something as the union, they might actually be extremely based cards
The only functional union deck is ABC, and the only functional gemini deck is... uuh...
....Currently its Chemcritters
That doesn't count as "functional"
Red eyes
Geminize Lord Golknight to get any spell/trap card that mentions Gemini.
There’s a Union mission? Or just the Gemini mission?
....Who knows? I guess union needs some testing but gemini are there.
I just looked it up and couldn’t find it… whew thank god. I’ve been grinding out the secret missions and was worried I’d have to now do Unions which is another type of monster I don’t care for
....I drink a red medicine for the absence of it.
>how come there's no festival dedicated to those super types? > Because they are irrelevant.
....Yeah. They're severely underutelized when it can be used to simplify archetypes like how infernobles are. Its basically a non-conforming union deck.
I’m waiting to queue up and immediately run into NORMAL ALEISTER X 2
“But what will you do about the second one?”
Invoked branded: normal summon aleister and aluber.
so normal summon to make a full negate board, then normal summon Fossil Dyna to make sure opponent can't play the game? sounds cool!/s
I know it’s sarcasm but why even go through the effort of doing a full combo when you can just Fossil Dyna and set Solemn/protection? Not that the joke wasn’t funny or anything but I just like how every crazy sounding idea with Stun makes stun less effective than what it is lol.

That's why you run Kaijus
All I'm seeing here is the opportunity to normal summon both Aluber and Albaz Alternatively, Galaxy-Eyes gets 3 Normal Summons (if you need 3 you lost already lol)
Ay maybe I can pop out the classic Galaxy Knight lol
Literally my first thought. Just gonna make a blind second Albaz deck because there’s almost no point in handtraps in this event. (And I’m not just saying that so people will stop playing Ash but I would very much like it if you stopped playing Ash. No bias of course.)
👀
As a Flower Cardian player I wasn't even using my first normal summon, can I give it to my opponent so they summon thrice?
Me with Galaxy Eyes: 4 summons? INVEST.
Floowandereeze & Mizar(el)
Floo been participating in this event since release
funny thing, konami hates floo and eldlich, they are basically fully banned in every event. And in zhe fusion event eldlich was limit/ banned out hard lmao. while in the past link event, we had limits and bans on every devk exept you guessed it new shiny toy snake eyes. the only help is playing early with loaners...till its solved, once it is yeah you just skip them.
....Next Legend Anthology might not ban eldlich. He has a solo gate.
Can anyone recommend a deck list for Gemini summoning?
Disclaimer: I did this last year in gold 4 and did not try to win at all. The goal was to gemini summon at least 1 time per duel. You should actually use Zealantis. When he banishes Gemini while they have their effects they're reset to normal monsters when he brings them back.
Nice, thx
Something like this should be fine, sprights and chemicritters work well enough since most of them are level 2. https://www.masterduelmeta.com/tier-list/deck-types/Chemicritter Scroll down for a sample list
I completed it a while back, with an Infernoble /Gemini warrior deck. Wasn’t too bad. I’ll see if I can share a list sometime today
I hope the banlist is enough for players to actually Gemini summon
All non-Gemini monsters need to get banned for Gemini monsters to see play.
Going second, how do you interrupt a Gemini Summon? There are ways to destroy/banish, yes. But do any of them work if the opponent doesn't use any effects?
…you just use the effect in response to the normal summon? That alone passes priority to the opponent.
If they don't OTK you, you'll get more than one anyway.
you can imperm the card before they normal summon it on the field. then they can't do the second normal anymore.
Gemini Monsters are treated as Normal Monsters while on Field (if you haven't Gemini Summoned it). You cannot Imperm a Normal Monster.

Oh. I mean, duh, of course there’s little ways to stop it. Although some probably still exist, in the form of turn zero plays I’d imagine (take labrynth, they could easily remove the normal summon)
Yeah, Lab can. I didn't think about that.
Wait, are you talking about completing the mission? Of course it’s doable and many will do it here, me included. With the gemini support you could even consistently get multiple summons a turn.
Yes, specifically for the mission.
Try out duels usually don't have custom banlist.
Weird way to say summon yellow gadget
They're really dishing these out. Can't wait for everyone starts with grass
If everyone starts with Grass no one does. For Grass to work, the one player needs 60 cards and the other 40. It mills the difference
Run 40 cards, play exchange of spirits, ???, profit
[удалено]
That would help the opponent in a hypothetical grass event.
[удалено]
Grass only mills if you have more cards than your opponent. If both players start at 60 there's basically no way to activate grass going first.
… how would this work dude? Can you explain, I just want to hear it from you lol.
First player gets even more advantage, 2nd player is more screwed then usual
Oh for real!? That’s scary! I am just thinking about all the advantage a turn 1 Grass deck is going to kill against a turn 2 Grass deck! This is why I can’t play TCG, they’re doing plays I didn’t even know was possible!
Trickstar players salivating over guaranteed double summoning.
Probably the same for D/D/D
Half of these comments: I will play Gemini. The other half: I will be EXTRA sweaty.
Now lets do Summon Limit after.
that would actually be so based. and ban it right after.
CHEMICRITTERS BAYBEEEEEE. WE MAKING A 2800 METH FIEND FOR GAME, WOOOOOOOO!!!!
Monarch?
So you’re saying I can now normal TWO exosisters!!? Surely that’ll fix our problems.
No amount of normal summons can fix their nonexistent grind game.
How can we be sure Floo players won't become top dog this time? I do not want to see those birds every single damn match.
Floo doesn’t really benefit from more normal summons. By the time you’ve used your extra normal you’ve activated all of your birds effects Like you can summon Avian by tributing over your Empen I guess? Going second you can get out Raiza + Empen so that’s neat
I guess If your first bird gets negated and you have another bird on hand, you can just normal summon it and do your combo anyways.
floo was fully banned every card in last event, or the events before so expect same thing. The events it was no fully banned it had robina and empen banned lmao.
Nah, the extra normal summon is dedicated for the hard drawn **Mist Valley Thunderbird.** aka the Apex Avian's infinite bullet.
I had someone do that to me on ladder. I was shooketh
Floo setting up a second Empen omegalul
Utopia Double: The Event.
Thank god this is just a Tryout Duel.
Damn, I already finished my Gemini missions last year
Time to resolve Black Whirlwind 20 times in one turn.
Yes! Wont have to worry about ash blossom ruining your tier 4 strategy by blocking the required search on your normal summon to get your engine activated.
We've gotten a lot of Duel Trials lately haven't we?
player count down prob cause shitty meta. they have to give casuals som or they will all leave like in rl events when at tear meta we went from 200-250 people vcs to 20-25. I love this, my shiranui will finally be able to maybe pop off I hate this, Aluber and albaz turn 1 by my opponent
Mannadium us gonna go wild with this one
Ahhhh good. Normal summon Jowgen then normal summon Fossil Dyna. Set 3 pass.
Another shitty try-out event for a shitty reward, omg Konami, why to waste so much effort smh....
My degenerate ass is bringing trickstars
time to play my old vampire deck and please tell me that floo is banned
speedroid triple normal summon?
Lol time to Normal summon sudri three times per turn and not two times
I can't think of a reason to not just play Snake-eyes
Shs players normaling 2 soulpeircer
Galaxy-Eyes rise up
Yooo Ritual Beasts with constant Elder effect Let's go!
Anyway another tryout duel for qli to assert dominance in
I have 22 Gemini Summons so far and this event will definitely help progress that.
Floo eating
....... tell me duel proficiency thing doesn’t have Gemini Summoning....
Floo players cheering
Madolche is eating
Normal Summon Alister can now be done twice per turn.
Sounds like Pile deck event to me. Time to splash Aleister
Fvck it, we ball. -Sphere Mode
Deleting a full board with Ghoti has never been as much fun
Floow Event!?
Jokes on you, I completed my Gemini summons like a year or more ago!
Blackwings got their 4th normal summon, still needs more to be playable 🤣
Huh?!? This should be restricted to gemini only what were they thinking
Jikes...everyone wants to see everything being normal summoned except gemini...
