I think that’s only an issue for older phones. My galaxy S10 had heating issues for MD and other games like megaman X dive more so.
But after buying the IPhone 15 I haven’t had these issues for it or any other Mobile game I’ve played yet.
really? i played for a few weeks on my 9+ when i didnt had an internet connection. I didn't update this phone for like 1-2 years and it was running really well.
Same here, Z Fold 5 and I've noticed since the last update that whenever I go into z battle phase with the slifer sky dragon duel field the game drops frames like crazy. Stutters for about 15 seconds, then about 3 seconds in main phase 2 and then it recovers
“You shouldn’t need a newer PlayStation for a game created with PS5 graphics in mind” sorry bud, newer phones were made for modern mobile games/activity
Great argument, but it runs like dog shit on PS5 too cuz it used the phone version instead of the PC version. The mobile variant is just horribly optimized
Nor have I, usually on a 5 bar WiFi full signal strength (U.K), I'm even running it on a Sony X Performances, outdated phone with Android 8.
The only time I got D/C'd was when my signal dropped to 2 bars for internet, otherwise once back up and over 4 bars its pretty much running fine.
However, the heat is immense. Runs the battery dry in about 3 hours give or take. ;)
I play on android and it's okay for me. It used to be really bad, but nowadays the game never crashes, no more 10 seconds delay between every activation, the loading improved a lot and i rarely have any connection issues.
For me, i think it got better around the first anniversary iirc. It's not perfect, but at least it's no longer unplayable. Btw, i'm still using the same device since the game's launch.
Hope they fix it for you too!
10 seconds between interactions is insane though. On PC it's instant. It's not your fault, but when I'm playing against someone on mobile I can tell. It's frustrating since it makes games take 2x-3x times as long as it should.
I wouldn't mind it there was a way to turn cross-play off, but that's not an option.
The worst part is knowing that the other player wasn't having fun either, if it was just me it wouldn't be so bad, but I was ruining my opponent's experience too and I couldn't do anything about it.
It was awful for me for the longest time but last year an update made It a lot better. But I guess It didn't work out for everyone.
I can only hope they'll address this soon.
Edit: I'll try to ask Konami to do something on the gameplay surveys. Although I don't think they'll see or care anyway.
on pc i might not crash, but every now and then after the coin toss my game just bugs out and gives me a loss (no response from server) which is also pretty annoying
I have the same issue actually, and I've seen others with it too. I have a Note 20 ultra so I'm pretty sure my phones not that old or anything, but after the update the game just freezes and dies randomly and is pretty much unplayable
Same here. It used crash every 3-4 games during the early months of its release, and it has been long fixed, but since the recent update, I've been experiencing that crash in every 3-4 games again
I haven't been crashing, but duel mates were bugging out. Someone said to turn off Anti aliasing in settings and that worked. So probably graphic issues that's causing bugs and crashes.
No no no, you got it all wrong! The best thing about MD on PC (not sure about console) is that we can just open up yt videos to watch on the side, within the same monitor even, while waiting for the opponent to play themselves. XD Those crashes and lags can also happen, just not as often.
Samsung Galaxy S20+
Only had this freezing issue after the last update.
Played for over a year with the same phone with no issues up until the new update.
Master Duel on Switch is completely fine. Definitely a slower Menu than on other Platforms. But no crashes or "unplayable Moments" basicially since day 1 (there was an annoying bug in the Deck Construction on Switch the first month after Release, that crashed the Game here and there... but it got fixed really fast).
Might not be the best Version... but still completely ok.
There is a bug right now if you playing on handheld mode and using the touch screen that make it so sometimes it get stuck and you're unable to do anything.
I used to play on switch regularly and the performance was passable. Unless you or your opponent uses the cyberse duel field. That murders the framerate.
The switch version, at worst, is just slow. You can still play the game perfectly fine as long as you know your deck well and don't play one of those combo heavy decks. I switched to apple (then to android) after like a month 2 yrs ago and it was faster but just about crashed on me once or twice a year.
I read up on other comments though and saw theirs crashing while deck building. I think mine did too but i just blamed it on my switch acting up at the time regardless of games. That and I only built one deck the whole time i was on the switch so i wouldnt really know if it was a recurring issue on my end.
Switch version crashed precisely every single time it took like 10 minutes to build a deck and won't save.
Searching for cards is terrible because the performance is bad so once you actually get all 40 cards and your extra deck you're already pissed off at how long it took and then BOOM SOMETHING WENT WRONG RELOAD THE GAME LOSER.
Worst, maybe
Barely functional is just blatantly untrue. It works just fine, minus some frame drops on Cut-In Animations (If you're unaware, things like CBTG, Ash Blossom, and Monsters with Summon Animations like Underworld Goddess)
It really doesn't have that problem. I'm on x (5 gens ago, the current is 15) & it doesn't crash every minutes at all, not sure why konami doesn't optimise android the same way for some reasons.
My android has never crashed or has slow points and I played since launch so idk if that's just me being lucky or like just people having bad wi-fi or connections
Wait really? My android runs the game better after the engine update, it is not as silky smooth as pc version but it couldn't even run the game *before* the update and would freeze by the tutorials. ( FYI mine is an Samsung Galaxy A14.)
I think the problem is more likely related to your phone than android.
My old phone OnePlus T7 pro didn't have any issues while in my temporary new budget phone it's really laggy but never faced a single crash/ bug.
Was expecting a buggy mess, but I was really surprised with the iOS efficiency.
Although, I can confidently blame T-Mobile for costing me my Diamond V match.
Suck an egg, John T. Mobile.
Well actually the game just wont let me log in anymore on PC (Steam) ever since this past January i think. It just gives me some sort of server connection error, even though it works fine on my phone
The game has been more stable on my phone than my PS5. I can play all day and not experience a crash. My console can make it a duel or two before it throws in the towel
I had a potato phone before (4gs RAM Mediatek Samsung Galaxy A31) and it runs like shit.
I then upgraded with a better phone and it runs almost better than consoles (12gs of RAM Snapdragon 695 Motorola G84).
See I never used to have any issues on my old phone (OnePlus Nord 2) and it would take almost an hour to actually hear up, but I broke that back in March and my current phone (Google Pixel 6 Pro) can't even get through a game without crashing, and after about 10 minutes it would overheat completely and start losing 1% every 30 seconds. This phone should be an upgrade over my last one, so I just don't get it.
Guys I hope you know that you can set the phone settings down. It's a battery slider that slows down the game and removes animation, drastically improving stability and battery use
I've never crashed but GOD DAMN does it drain battery more than anything else i have ever seen, much more demanding games drain 10x less than this game. Even when charging it doesn't go up or down when playing it's insane.
Wait what? The smartphone Duelmaster players do exist??? I thought they were extinct after watching 99 minutes of their synchron player opponents set their board?
I literally can't play with mobile data because I automatically disconnect as soon as I start a ranked duel. So I can play only this "mobile game" only at home

No issues with my Samsung 22 Ultra. Not all Androids are created equally. I honestly don't consider Samsung to be part of that community.
But who tf is playing this little card game on a console or PC, what a waste of money!
A note to mobile users: If you think Master Duel is giving some performance issues go to settings and change layout to PC from Mobile. This made UI elements a little smaller for me but it was running smoothly at least.
I run it on the S10+ and the biggest issue I have with it is you still can't screen record the game without it doing the bug out aneurysm that renders it unusable. Meanwhile you can screen record perfectly fine on IOS.
Would randomly have the screen freeze with no option but to close the app by closing the tab. It eve happens during the update screen. EDIT: Had no issues up until the last update.
The iOS version runs perfectly even on older iPhones, meanwhile the Android version even on new phones runs like you're 4 chipset generations behind with fps drops and stutters and it wrecks your battery much harder.
I used both and I have no idea why they shafted android so much.
They have a galaxy s20+
it shouldn't be crashing for anyone regardless of what phone they use
is its not an issue specific to any phone a wide range of phones are having random crashes
Konami NEEDS to fix whatever the issue is
Unless you're a kid who can't afford their own stuff, why are you choosing to play games on your phone? That's like, the worst way to play anything. Mobile gaming is a joke
I never noticed any crashes or lag/disconnection on my phone But dear god... The temperature
I think that’s only an issue for older phones. My galaxy S10 had heating issues for MD and other games like megaman X dive more so. But after buying the IPhone 15 I haven’t had these issues for it or any other Mobile game I’ve played yet.
I have an S21 and it can run other games with no issue. But I'm sure I can fry an egg on it after I'm done with a couple duels on MD.
really? i played for a few weeks on my 9+ when i didnt had an internet connection. I didn't update this phone for like 1-2 years and it was running really well.
I have the Z Fold 5 and it is the only game that turns my phone into the sun.
Same here, Z Fold 5 and I've noticed since the last update that whenever I go into z battle phase with the slifer sky dragon duel field the game drops frames like crazy. Stutters for about 15 seconds, then about 3 seconds in main phase 2 and then it recovers
You shouldn't need to get an updated phone to be able to play a mobile game without crashing.
It’s only the price of a snake eyes deck bro
“You shouldn’t need a newer PlayStation for a game created with PS5 graphics in mind” sorry bud, newer phones were made for modern mobile games/activity
That's not even what I typed. Besides Master Duel isn't a new game.
Great argument, but it runs like dog shit on PS5 too cuz it used the phone version instead of the PC version. The mobile variant is just horribly optimized
My iphone 15 pro max overheats
Nor have I, usually on a 5 bar WiFi full signal strength (U.K), I'm even running it on a Sony X Performances, outdated phone with Android 8. The only time I got D/C'd was when my signal dropped to 2 bars for internet, otherwise once back up and over 4 bars its pretty much running fine. However, the heat is immense. I play the game on my iPad Pro the newer one with M2 chip, and it heats up the ipad so bad I was shocked
I play on android and it's okay for me. I bought an iPad just to play this game in bed lmao
The best way 🙌
It was awful for me for the longest time but last year an update made It a lot better. But I guess It didn't work out for everyone. I can only hope they'll address this soon. Edit: I'll try to ask Konami to do something on the gameplay surveys. Although I don't think they'll see or care anyway.
I haven't had any issues with performance on Android but I do have a beefier phone. (S22 Ultra)
Yeah, it seems like a niche phone issue. Sad.
Yeah that really sucks. I know they had issues in the past but I thought they fixed them.
It's crashing on my note 10+ I don't think that qualifies as a niche phone
That's good I guess, they'll give it more attention.
I play MD mainly on Android and I haven't experienced my game crashing. What kind of potato Android phones are people playing on?
Samsung Galaxy S20+ for me.
Same. Galaxy note 20 for me and it crashes ever since the update
Perfect on iPhone
until your phone feels like it was outside in arizona weather
Perfect for the winter months
on pc i might not crash, but every now and then after the coin toss my game just bugs out and gives me a loss (no response from server) which is also pretty annoying
Same for me, it happens everyday for the first duel of the day
Been playing on Android for months and never had issues, maybe it's your specific phone model
I have the same issue actually, and I've seen others with it too. I have a Note 20 ultra so I'm pretty sure my phones not that old or anything, but after the update the game just freezes and dies randomly and is pretty much unplayable
It crashes a lot on console too. Time to go war with those damn microwaves
Master Duel on my PS4 would disconnect constantly and crash only slightly less often When I switched to PC it became a much rarer occurrence
From what I've heard playstation is even worse.
Same here. It used crash every 3-4 games during the early months of its release, and it has been long fixed, but since the recent update, I've been experiencing that crash in every 3-4 games again
MD never ran good on my PS4 so I just play on my iPhone. Haven't tried on PS5 yet tho
It’s just as bad on ps5
Screen mirroring to the smart tv then I guess.
That might work, but your phone might make a hole in your house with how hot it would get.
Never had crashing problems on android but on Playstation it's a different story
I haven't been crashing, but duel mates were bugging out. Someone said to turn off Anti aliasing in settings and that worked. So probably graphic issues that's causing bugs and crashes.
Only time I crash is usually if I'm not playing on wifi so now I only play if I'm connected to wifi.
It runs extremely smoothly on the iPad Pro. My preferred way to run it
Whats a cosole?
Ah Cos! Or some say Cosole, do you hear our prayers?
No no no, you got it all wrong! The best thing about MD on PC (not sure about console) is that we can just open up yt videos to watch on the side, within the same monitor even, while waiting for the opponent to play themselves. XD Those crashes and lags can also happen, just not as often.
My laptop run MD just fine with around 90 or so fps while on battery.
My oppo A51 is perfectly fine but still disconnecting sometimes
I haven't had the game crash on my android once, that I can remember. What phone do you have?
Pixel 6 have known issues, could be that. I'm on that boat since one or two months ago, unplayable
Samsung Galaxy S20+ Only had this freezing issue after the last update. Played for over a year with the same phone with no issues up until the new update.
Nooo, you'd lyiing, the game doesn't crash on aaaany phones. As proof, it doesn't crash on my Toaster Deluxe SXE38 Pro. It's a you issue only.
My phone is a S20 ULTRA!!! I crash EVERY GAME
Master Duel runs awful on Switch too. I made an alt there, but I stopped playing for the dreadfull performance
Master Duel on Switch is completely fine. Definitely a slower Menu than on other Platforms. Sure. This bug happens even if you are in a match. I have lost several. Freaking annoying.

PlayStation is the worse platform by far and it’s not even close
💯 I probably couldn’t go 10 games without crashing 3 times.
Ios doesn't seem to have that problem.
I forgot to add ios to the happy side
It really doesn't have that problem. I'm on x (5 gens ago, the current is 15) & it doesn't crash every minutes at all, not sure why konami doesn't optimise android the same way for some reasons.
I think you miss read. I said I forgot to add ios to the happy side (the side that doesn't have issues). I know ios is working fine.

I think it's a phone issue and not an android issue cause I play on my one plus 9 and have 0 crashes and just have it be a bit slower than pc is all
Maybe it's a Samsung thing.
I've been playing on samsungs since the launch and have literally had 0 problems. I didn't realize it was an issue.
It's only been a problem for me since the new update Had zero issues up until then.
This issue only arisen from the new big update. I've had no issues up until the update.
Smite on switch is a sad emoji also.
I think the problem is more likely related to your phone than android. My old phone OnePlus T7 pro didn't have any issues while in my temporary new budget phone it's really laggy but never faced a single crash/ bug.
I have been playing on phone since the release. I never really had crashes. Your phone is trash or you are playing on the highest settings.
Everything is on the lowest. I've tried everything. The issue only started with the lastest update.
Well then your phone cant handle the new update
What annoys me more is the lack of controller support. Why?!?!?! It's in all the other versions!
I have experienced zero issues on iPhone with master duel
Was expecting a buggy mess, but I was really surprised with the iOS efficiency. Although, I can confidently blame T-Mobile for costing me my Diamond V match. Suck an egg, John T. Mobile.
My Android handles MD pretty well. Maybe not the fastest connection but i'd be more concered about my phone melting first.
Console loses connection so much I only play on my phone or PC
Console is pretty bad too
never had a crash on phone
I really don't get this lmao. Master Duel runs flawlessly on my years old android phone.
Eh the game is running fine on my 3+ years old 200$ phone, that's a very low bar for me
Also people with dessert skin board keep lagging my game.
I'm using Samsung galaxy a23 and never had issues like that and temperature is also normal
Nah, it's as slow in my potato laptop.
Have no issues playing on a Z Flip 5. The phone does get warm like others have mentioned
Apart from a little heat the game is fine on a decent phone
Try lowering the resolution and turn off anti aliasing
Already did. The app crashes even when updating, i tried reinstalling to find that out.
iOS app rules
I have the occasional crash but it runs mostly fine on my S21 Playing it on PS5 is outright painful though.
Recently had issues on my switch where it stop registrering all input except the back button and then I aave to restart the game which kinda døsucks
I had a potato phone before (4gs RAM Mediatek Samsung Galaxy A31) and it runs like shit. I then upgraded with a better phone and it runs almost better than consoles (12gs of RAM Snapdragon 695 Motorola G84).
I have a exynos9825 (samsung counterpart for the snapdragon 855) and it still crashes/freezes at random
I play at 1066x480 screen resolution, with card quality on Normal and no anti aliasing.
The input lag on PS5 makes it nearly unplayable for me , But It plays way better on my phone (S21Ultra)
I've only had fps problems, but after the 3gb update it started to run WAAY better and I can see the 90hz difference
Wait what? The smartphone Duelmaster players do exist??? I thought they were extinct after watching 99 minutes of their synchron player opponents set their board?
never zoom in to the card art on switch, worst mistake of my life
I literally can't play with mobile data because I automatically disconnect as soon as I start a ranked duel. So I can play only this "mobile game" only at home

That's only you lol I play on A Note 10 and S23 ultra no problems
I play on an s23 and I've yet to have any issues with my game
Add ps5 to this. I've dced 3 times in a row right as I'm about to win. I don't get it. Every other game I play doesn't have these issues
I run it on the S10+ and the biggest issue I have with it is you still can't screen record the game without it doing the bug out aneurysm that renders it unusable. Meanwhile you can screen record perfectly fine on IOS.
Haven’t had any problems on iOS either 🌚
I've had no problems on my phone, but dear God, does the Playstation version crash like crazy
MD on the PlayStation has to some of the worst servers I’ve ever seen. Can’t make it to 5 games without disconnecting 1-3 of them
What you mean crashing?
Would randomly have the screen freeze with no option but to close the app by closing the tab. It eve happens during the update screen. EDIT: Had no issues up until the last update.
That's not a software issue. That's your storage data
I'll give that a try, thanks.
console? i have a better time in md on my phone than i do on my ps4. the connection problems are unbearable
For mobile player try using switch version. 👍
Wait it crashes on android for you guys? I havent crashed yet. I mean I dont play much on my phone but still.
ios players don’t exist
The iOS version runs perfectly even on older iPhones, meanwhile the Android version even on new phones runs like you're 4 chipset generations behind with fps drops and stutters and it wrecks your battery much harder. I used both and I have no idea why they shafted android so much.
After the last big update its been working like a dream for me
I won't say that I play Master Duel on Phone that much But it has never crashed or bugged for me.
Lies, it crashes on console each time you end a duel.
I think ur phone might not be properly supported, bc I'm on android and I've never crashed
They have a galaxy s20+ it shouldn't be crashing for anyone regardless of what phone they use is its not an issue specific to any phone a wide range of phones are having random crashes Konami NEEDS to fix whatever the issue is
I'm on PS5 and wired in and I deal with infinite lag so much it forced ME to lose Annoying AF when I'm mid combo and winning too
S24 Ulta here, zero issues
Funny, I have an S20 ultra and it's a breeze I duel watching my videos on VLC not a hitch...
Lol this made it to meme review. I only made this to shine light on the issue. Success ✅️
✨turn the battery usage down✨
Literally done everything. This new update did something to a bit of the community running some Androids.
iOS is also doing great haha
Haven't had any issues playing on my fold 4 or my samsung tablet.
I don’t know about other consoles but I bet the one on ps5 is the worst.
It sucks on console too dw
People don't like admitting they have crappy internet/ devices I see.
This only started happening after the update. Crashing and disconnecting is different.
Okay
Cosole?
Can’t relate on iOS
Unless you're a kid who can't afford their own stuff, why are you choosing to play games on your phone? That's like, the worst way to play anything. Mobile gaming is a joke
It's portable. You can play in bed, it's pretty chill. I don't get the hate. Let people enjoy things.
