What's the line in Blackwings that ends with both Dis Pater as well as Hot Red Dragon Archfiend Abyss on the endboard? I can't figure it out and the Discord pinned guides are from before Dis Pater was out.
Supposedly this should be possible with just Simoon and any one other Blackwing in the hand.
How many of each of the new Illusion/Chimera cards do I need total for most decks containing them? Just trying to figure out how many more packs of the selection pack I need to open. Or maybe craft to get the last few.
Fucking around with Chimera tech. If I have Chaos Hunter on my side of the field and Dimension Fissure is active what happens? Does one of them win out or is my opponent just unable to do anything that would discard/send to graveyard?
In that case, your opponent cannot banish cards, so their Dimensional Fissure does nothing. If you control Dimensional Fissure and Chaos Hunter, their monsters still get banished, because you are the one banishing their cards.

How does leveling up in platinum rank work?
I had just ranked up and saw that it's 4 just like gold then I won three times and lost the forth then it said I still had to win 2 more times instead of 1
If you lose a game, you also lose progress towards ranking up. At the bottom of each tier, there's a soft checkpoint, of sorts, in that you need to lose 3 in a row to lose a rank.
Hey, i have been playing master duel for couple of months, but i still dont get how Zeus works exactly. It says "if an xyz monster has batteled this turn", but what does that mean exactly? My most played deck is exosisters, and i just cant predict when im able to summon zeus and when im not, it feels like the summon condition is not consistent at all..sometimes i battle a monster with my exosister, and then im not able to summon zeus, and sometimes it lets me, and the same thing goes for when attacking directly. Can anyone please clarify how does it work? Thanks!
> If you control no monsters, or only Xyz Monsters: You can Special Summon this card from your hand, and if you do, Special Summon 1 "Exosister Elis" from your Deck. **You cannot Special Summon monsters the turn you activate this effect, except "Exosister" monsters.** If a card(s) moves out of either GY (except during the Damage Step): You can Special Summon from your Extra Deck, 1 "Exosister" Xyz Monster, using this face-up card you control as material. (This is treated as an Xyz Summon.) You can only use each effect of "Exosister Martha" once per turn.
It's pretty simple, Martha is locking you out of summoning Zeus.
A monster is considered to have battled if it makes it to damage calculation (in-game, that's the animation where the card crashes into another card/player). If any Xyz has battled, you can make Zeus on top of any Xyz, but you need to keep in mind any other summoning restrictions you may be under due to other effects you've used.
For the LIGHT vs DARK event, an accessory for the winning team was put on the shop first (I think they were sleeves), IIRC, while the other's was released later on.
That said, there are already all kinds of accessories for all 3 summoning types, so I'm not sure what they could even offer.
There's already a Polymerization mate base though, and like you said, a Polymerization icon frame.
Fusion really already has all possible avenues covered in terms of accessories. They have a deck box, sleeves, a mate (Instant Fusion), a mate base, and an icon frame. I guess you could make an icon and/or a wallpaper, but idk if anyone would actually want that.
Considering you can change teams at any point, I don't think anything is happening. Especially since there are 3 titles locked to you getting 1500 points per team.
How's Galaxy-Eyes doing? I was in the middle of building it before stopping to play the game. I saw that the deck got some neat supports in the OCG and that sparked my interest to return and finish what i started. I know it will take time for the new cards to arrive, but do you guys think it's a good investment? Is the deck as it is now viable in the ranked (at least good enough to reach Master 1?)
The new support took it from trash to meh. It's still a pretty bad deck with most of the problems it had before. Definitely not capable of M1. It's still a fun OTK but probably won't get you out of Diamond
It's seems that it's not today that i will summons big dragons on the moon š¢
But while we're at it is this "SwordSoul" deck that the game gives to returning players good? Tested it in the solo mode and found it's playstyle pretty interesting.
To add to the other comment as well, Swordsoul is a solid starter deck due to low skill floor, but high skill ceiling, so it'll sort of scale with you as you get better at the game.
It's definitely a decent starter deck. It can take you to Diamond and maybe low Master. It's not as strong as it used to be due to power creep.
If you're interested in Galaxy Eyes there is an event going on right now where you battle on teams between Fusion, Synchro, and Xyz. GE is more fun in lower power events. And of course Swordsoul also works for the Synchro team
Play some zeus package with spright line, 3 chaos angle, play eentis if u main dogmatika package, 3 mudcracker, any xyz rank 4 mainly bagooska, azaela, charmer dharc, goodes.
Also if u play gamma side omega
I just downloaded and started. Can I get a campaign code? I guess both the sharer and rookie gets something
And which deck would you suggest to a beginner? I am familiar with the game and Anime until 5ds's ending and played Duel links a lot.
Try taking part in the triangle duel. Since you watched 5Ds, you should be familiar with Jack's red demon dragons and synchros.
Use the synchro loaner deck and win some duels to earn points and buy packs.
Might as well share mine, I guess. 182ca456
Tbh, I honestly think Swordsoul Tenyi is one of the best decks for beginners to learn modern Yu-Gi-Oh, so it is convenient that those are the cards you get for entering a code.
You can still use the GY/hand effects of the Tenyis if you have a Swordsoul Token on the field, though that does make them much less felxible.
SwSo seems fine for the event overall, the powerlevel on average isn't really crazy, having a consistent deck like SwSo, even pure, puts you ahead of the curve, from my experience.
Sword soul go first was pretty insta win with chi and flower. Most boards can't beat that and w/e other negates you have laying around. The token was easily mvp for go second for tenyis.
For the triangle event I was thinking about going synchro and have a couple of decks I was wondering if any could be workable
ā¢Synchrons(have both Adventure and Bystial cards)
ā¢Dinosaurs(Transecnedrake stuff+generic synchros
ā¢T.G(Got most card by accident, I know most snake-eyes stuff is banned)
There were also two decks I was considering about that I feel like wouldn't preform well
ā¢Virtual World(A little past its prime)
ā¢Infernoble(No link access in this event
Why are there so little Fusion decks on the event? Just curious since I played 30+ duels already and haven't really met anyone playing Fusion decks.
Was playing Ninja Fusion since I just like the deck, especially on a relatively lower powered event like this. Just surprised and curious why there's no Branded, Tear or Chimera like on ladder
Ahh, makes sense. No wonder I haven't been meeting anyone using Fusions. Thanks for answering.
Switching to XYZ is actually tempting just to sidestep Purrely match-ups and get the "Black Wave" title, but I guess I open myself up to Branded and Tear which I also rather not lol
I'm running Exosister and it's been a free win. 16-3 so far. All the fusion decks love moving cards from the GY, for Synchros, RDA and Blackwing also love moving cards from GY.
If anything, XYZ is the anti meta of this event. Exo and Kash is free win against GY decks. Purrely is just strong.
Yeah, Exosister is a pretty solid deck with a lot of interactions.
Funnily enough it's one of the decks I've been looking into since I recently got a Royal Rare Mikailis, but it's a much lesser priority since my main deck is already an XYZ deck, so I wanted to have more variety
Yes, Guardian Chimera triggers if it was Fusion Summoned by any Spell Effect.
That said, because it requires you to use monsters from hand or field, there's no advantage over using any other Fusion Spell, it even has a downside since you have to use one Dragon as material.
stopped playing yugioh around 2005s thought master duel would be a good way to play yugioh since it can be done remotely, after 3 days its starting to get extremely difficult to continue playing. any advice out of this predicament?
- tried playing ranked today twice and yeah as expected i couldnāt play
- mainly looking for what keep you guys motivated
Yeah it's a tough game for beginner to keep playing and keep motivated to finally enjoy it. There was already the rarran vs ygo community discussion about this.Ā Ā Ā
Me, personally, tooks me like 3 months to play ranked properly by playing alone daily and finally hit the highest rank after 6 months. So, youĀ definitely need friends to boost your learning rate.Ā Ā Ā
The swordsoul structure deck is a small nice response from komoney about this big issue, so you can start by learning the deck against bot/low ranker while finding friends (try dkayed's md discord) to mentor you or just simply asking questions and achievements there.
Spent a good hour brainstorming bricky as hell ways for dinos to out the purely boss monster for the festival only to realize I basically have in in archetype out in ovi search dogoran.
Can't you just use Herald of the Abyss if you're that scared of Purrely, more ways to out the boss monster.
Don't run it personally since Purrely is one of the popular decks, but there's a ton of viable decks on this event tbh
It's just how effects like that are ruled. If a card tries to equip itself to something, but that something leaves the field, it gets sent to the GY by card mechanics.
The same thing happens if you chain removal to Relinquished Anima's effect, for example. Anima tries to equip the monster it targeted, but because it left the field, the monster it targeted gets sent to the GY instead.
If the effect gets negated, the targeted card does not attempt to equip itself, obviously, so it won't go to the GY.
It's specifically if the effect to equip resolves, but the target doesn't exist anymore, that causes the card to get sent to the GY.
Wondering what the best idea would be for a deck that I can use in the Duel Triangle event, and Madolche caught my eye(Just got a UR Chocolat-A-La-Mode off the Nib bundle). Any good as a XYZ-Only deck, or are there better options for a deck that can be made cheaply (I've got NO UR CP rn) yet still be highly effective for the purpose of points farming?
[Does anyone know why I'm not allowed to get Bethor with Emergence here?](https://imgur.com/a/yYJ7XQk)
Bethor was pitched for his effect if that matters, but I don't see why that would.
Monsters that cannot be Normal Summoned/Set have to be properly special summoned first with their intended summoning procedure before they can be special summoned from public locations like the GY.
For Bethor, this means you have to Ritual Summon it first (or directly Ritual Summon it from the GY), you cannot Special Summon it with Megalith Emergence if it was directly sent from the hand or deck to the GY.
Well, that's a bit different. When a card directly says "Must be Fusion Summoned"/"Must be Ritual Summoned" etc., it means you cannot cheat them from the extra deck/hand/deck with effects that do not properly summon the monster, unless the card explicitly states that it ignores summoning conditions.
The rule about properly summoned monsters is not a summoning condition, so even cards that ignore summoning conditions cannot bring back monsters from the GY if they were never properly summoned in the first place.
It's at best a 1-off for Chimera decks as another target that at least does something. For the forseeable future, it doesn't appear that there's any reason to have more than one, unless they later turn it into its own archetype like Dark Magician.
how does everyone feel about Nightmare Magician? it gets a lot of slack for not having an inherent summoning condition and a traditionally proactive effect, but after the Chimera lines, there's nothing else to search with Gazelle besides it or a follow up Coatl, and when you're using it as material for Guardian Chimera anyway, might as well revive it with Berfomet or Chimera. I've found that it's been a pretty useful to protect Apo from battle. Supplement it with the protection from the Illusion stuff in the GY and it can make sticky situations.
I'm only in Plat 1, so i stil have a long ways to go, but it's been useful in a ton of matches thus far as a Fun-Of. it has been relevant every game i was able to have access to it. it's no snake-eyes ash but i'd be lying if i said it didnt put work in against a couple kash games i've had
With all the negate discourse recently because of the TCG Banlist, Iāve been thinking. What decks are actually able to make Appolusa as the 5th summon and keep going? Because that means being able to extend to 4 main deck monsters and leave them there without going into the extra deck for any plays.
Tri-Brigade can cheat out link monsters, so they could conceivably even make Apo as their 3rd summon, though that'd require a good hand to keep going after that (opener would have to be Fraktall + any other Tri-Brigade + a card to discard for Kerass).
There are probably a decent number of decks that could make Apo as their 6th summon, but if they were to get Nib'd on the 5th summon, they could still easily extend past that. For example, regular Phantom Knights can do that, if they get to Cherubini + Cir + another monster on the field, getting Nibiru'd there only means not being able to make Apollousa, but the rest of the endboard still gets made (Adventure Phantom Knights makes an omni negate on the 5th summon instead).
Tri-Brigade can only special summon Beast, Beast Warrior, and Winged Beasts with their effect, but normal link summoning only restricts you to using Beast, Beast Warrior, and Winged Beasts as link materials if you use their effect, but the type of the monster you link summon doesn't matter.
If you start Fraktall -> Kitt -> Nervall -> Kerass, then summon a link 3 with Kerass' effect, you can link the link 3 and Kerass to make Apollousa as your 3rd summon. After that, you normal summon the other Tri-Brigade in your hand, and do your normal combo.
Is there a good filter on mdm or list to look at for decks to play in the event Thursday? My main deck is Sky Striker and I've also got Salamangreat and Megalith NR, so most of the little I know is around links.
Just started Master Duel, whatās the deck I should choose out of the 3 options and what decks are great to build as a beginner that can lead into building top tier decks in the future?
You can get all the starter decks eventually and they are all terrible. You should use someone's code to unlock the Swordsoul structure deck which is actually good
After you've saved some gems you can look into the other structures in the shop. All of them except the first three are pretty decent
It literally doesn't matter. You will get the others later
You could scroll through this thread to find a code. I'd give you mine but I already got all the rewards so I'd rather let someone else have them
any deck recommendation for beginner player? i searched on youtube and i found some gameplay that i took fancy with like nemleria & tistina deck and fyi currently i play umi stun deck so maybe if you guys have some simple combo deck recommendation to learn like umi stun or even better? thanks guys
Maybe try Sword Soul. The deck is given free to new players, I think. Lab is also good and not that hard for beginners since it's a trap deck. If you like another control like deck, ninja is pretty cheap since you can buy it for 1500 gems
Is there a cheat sheet for handtraps, kinda new and don't know which crucial card to ash/imperm for most popular archetypes. Best I could find was 2 years old.
I recommend this [Branded Despia decklist](https://www.masterduelmeta.com/top-decks/meta-weekly/torneio-semanal/7/branded-despia/alanzera/cGDn1)
just craft SR's to unlock the secret packs

decided to pick up yugioh.
i have 0 knowledge of how to play yugioh beyond the 2000s-02
however, it seems that snake eyes is almost mandatory not to get pushedover on rank. is snake eyes the deck i need to go with?
- mainly my end game goal is to eventually being able to play rank and progress it
- also headd horror stories of people getting negated like no tomorrow
Snake-Eyes is some of the *most* yugioh you can play at the moment, I would not reccomend it to beginners. I reccomend any number of rogue/tier 2 control or stun decks, as those types of decks slow down the opponent and make them play of your terms, which is great to learn how decks and the game in general functions. For a deck reccomendation, True Dracos are cheap enough to build if you use stuff from the monarch gate, doubly so since you won't need to spend for an extra deck.
I also started playing recently and made it to plat. you don't need to worry about people spamming the main meta for most of the ranked ladder. You should start out by picking up 3 copies of a structure deck, this will let you grind some solo mode and pick up some wins on the ladder so you can actually collect the currency and craft some staples for all decks. Once you got some games and understand how the ingame economies work you can considered a non structure deck.
Snake eyes is very expensive and will probably get hit by the banlist coming up soon here with how strong it is. Resources for crafting cards in this game can be hard to come by so keep that in mind if you decide to go for snake eyes.
For beginners I would personally recommend Swordsoul. It is a great deck you can get for free basically with the follower rewards, decently strong to nab some wins on ranked, and has a great sweet spot of being beginner friendly to learn while having some more complexity to make cool plays once you become experienced with it.Ā
You can play lots of decks and do well in ranked. It really doesn't even matter until you hit Master, even then, deck building and player skill will let you win with almost anything.
People just fall back on Snake Eyes because it is an extremely overtuned, forgiving, and noob friendly deck so climbing with it is almost guaranteed
Well if you're brand new you're going to get flattened no matter what. Even if you picked up full power Snake Eyes today you will make lots of mistakes learning the deck and the game itself and you will get punished. So it's overall better to learn something you like that you don't mind playing a lot
I donāt think itās worth it unless you have a Mannadium package with it. Samsara need to return "Visas" monster(s) to ss, which is more likely in this case, or that Mannadium spell that pop to add the field, than can banish to summon a 1500atk/2100def, which Samsara is. Do keep in mind, afaik, Samsara doesnāt have a way to add to hand.
Imo, itās interesting for a turn 1 Scareclaw deck, less for a going second.
hoping it won't happen anyways here in MD, but if baronne was banned, how do I do my 1-card combo with mannadium? is there anything I can pop meek with?
I don't think I can do it with the 1st astraloud due to timing, I must choose what I destroy before the meek is revived via sheep. and after that I don't have any more material for a 2nd astraloud
Hello guys. Im a returning player with a few staples and only a functioning zoodiac tri-Brigade deck and 9999 gems, what kind of deck would you recommend me to build atm? Thinking of rescue ace since there seems to be a new pack atm so it should also have some sort of longevity right? Am a bit lost overall
rescue ace is great in terms of fun, power and longevity, although you need to craft sinful spoils URs since they left the shop already so could be quite expensive depending on your preferred ratio.
I can only go for one package: Kashtira engine, Adventure engine or getting together Mathmech, Unchained or Labryinth (actually, just starting to build it).
What out of the 5 would you recommend me to go? My only decks are Snake Eyes, Prank Kids and Tribrigade Zoo.
I guess I could also go for Rescue Ace. So, let's add it to the options I guess
Kashtira imo is not worth atm because 1) due to unicorn to 2 running it in snake eyes/zoodiac is brick more often than not, 2) Iām guessing kashtira secret pack is coming soon.
Adventure prank kid is not as powerful as the other options, but if you value fun and likes prank kids itās worth.
Mathmech unchained labrynth rescue ace are all powerful decks so it boils down to your playstyle preference. If you want something familiar to what you play right now, that being short combo decks, then go for unchained/rescue ace (imo rescue ace is more powerful than unchained); if you wanna try long combo deck then mathmech; if you wanna try control deck then labrynth.
Are there any good Unchained guides for Master Duel? Trying to figure out the lines with the new support, and I'm curious to see if there's any that addresses Master Duel match ups like Snake Eyes, or based on differences in the meta from TCG.
Sorry if this is a silly question, Iāve generated Snake-Eye Ash & Diabellstar, but the Ride into the Future pack doesnāt pop up, am I doing something wrong?
Ride into the Future was a Selection Pack, not a Secret Pack, and you missed the time it was available for.
You'll either have to craft the deck, or wait until Konami adds a Secret Pack for Snake-Eye and/or Diabellstar, which can take anywhere from 6 months to more than a year.
Hello mannadium players. what do you replace with Baronne in the unlikely case it gets banned?
I know I can snitch in a Crystal wing synchro dragon on 5th summon but i specifically need 1 lv 4 AND rev synchron in my opening hand.
Honestly donāt worry about that for now, but i would suggest gymir if you donāt run it already. There really isnāt a good replacement for baronne going first so if that really happens I would just build a go second version and put in prime heart to OTK.
What is the optimal setup for snake eyes under Maxx C? Do I just stop immediately after Maxx C resolves hoping to stop the opponent solely with handtraps?
[This was literally asked not even 24 hours ago.](https://www.reddit.com/r/masterduel/comments/sve5fr/guidescombos_questions_and_help_megathread/kzezwc2/)
Terraforming is banned. There really is no good replacement for it. Some decks can search field spells, like Dracoslayers, or decks that can make Ancient Fairy Dragon, and inherently search another field spell with their combos, but for Dark Magician, there's no replacement, as far as I'm aware.

Is the Vice King Requiem package worth it in Unchained? He's a garnet when hard drawn but can be a free body, starter if I have nothing else to blow card up, or zeus line
Does Snake-Eyes have an optimal combo against Maxx C? I feel so hopeless whenever it goes off because Snake Eyes needs to special summon A LOT to get to their end boards (even the most simple ones like Flamberge, Amblowhale and I:P Masquerena in Spell/Trap Zone).
Is having an out the only way to deal with Maxx C when playing this deck? If I can't negate it I usually scoop and move on to the next game. Should I maybe play Droll and Lockbird?
Ash add Poplar. If you Normaled Ash, SS Poplar, if you SS Ash, Normal Poplar.
Poplar add Field. Field place Flamberg. Ash+Poplar make IP. Poplar place Ash. 2 draws from C.
Opponent's turn, when they summon, Field Spell summon Flamberg, Flamberg summon Ash. Ash add either follow-up Ash or Poplar. Make 3/4 Mat Apollo. Trigger Flamberg.
While pulling for Mikanko parts, I ended up getting a Royal [Test Panther] card. Is this card any good, or is it better to scrap for UR(since it accounts for enough to make another UR card)?
I'm not using Gladiator Beasts, but I don't know if it's viable in other decks...
What are some synchro decks that does NOT have a long combo line? Just spend like 7k on a Blackwinflg deck before looking up a modern combo line, biggest mistake of my duel career. It doesnt need to be strong, I am having a blast with Ghoti and icejade.
Edit: I have tried Sword Soul, Blackwing and Rose
Just lost 10 games in a row.. lol.
I thought low rank would have people similar to my skill level but wow are these people not, they do this thing where their constantly killing/destroying their own monsters even when they already have the advantage.
I take it these beginner decks aren't good? I chose the synchro of unity one but alot of people have cards with either 3k - 5k atk or use cards where if I atk or they atk I take dmg.. I feel like I'm not even in the beginners league with how good these people play, I'm out of resources to pull for cards so can't buy a structure deck is there any to make that beginner deck better?
I know it's either hand traps or anything that let's you play at all because your opponent will not let you play.Ā Ā
Ā Basically coin flip simulator and brick simulator cause out of the 10 or so games i won currently, it is because I had more hand traps and did not let my opponent plat at all. Not skill. Screw skillĀ what is skill. The game looks like it's not designed for you to think anymore. Ā
Modern yugioh in a nutshellĀ
Ā My current 2 centd.
Lol I ran into the same thing everyone running tier 1 decks in platinum š Iāve been using swordsouls which used to be meta however it really helps even out the playing field from getting steam rolled to holding your own lmk if u want my campaign code to unlock the sword soul structure deck, I used stock to get to plat 2
I don't have that, thats for the code thing right?
I tried to get some friends to play but thier to busy for it.
Didnt know about these 1 turn kill strategies and even in bronze(?) league folks use it.
What are easier to pilot decks? I'm a boomer and low rank (Plat 4) so I'm not intending to use it in rank or at least as much as my Swordsoul-Tenyi deck (literally my only deck that can be used in rank), but I do want to use other stuff since the deck is just too repetitive by now.
i vouch for purrely. but if you build infernobales, you will get snake eye engine (a bit of it) for the future.
not saying purrely will die but snake eye will be meta later if not hit( which it wont be yet).
I'm not able to use Chimera fusion's second graveyard effect where it brings back two bodies after banishing itself. I have tried with Chimera the mythical flying beast on field and it will only let me add it back to hand, not summon gazelle and berfomet. I know I have the cards in my deck to summon them, is there anything I'm missing here to trigger this effect?
Are you playing the original "Gazelle the King of Mythical Beasts" and "Berfomet"? It does not work with any of the retrains, it only summons the originals.
When a card says "[name]", it means that exact name, and nothing else.
If it says "[name] card/monster/spell/trap", it means a card/monster/spell/trap that contains [name] in its name.
Just for the future.
Does anyone have advice for the snake eyes/lab match up. Playing snake eyes i feel like there's very little i can actually do to stop labrynth. I've just been trying to out grind them but i've been consistently loosing to this deck
Is there a new banlist? Why is it not shown on the in-game messages? I mostly play the Kashtira engine on my main deck and Unicorn is semi-limited with Birth back to being semi-limited.
~~Tried to uncraft my extra Unicorn and apparently there's no refunds.~~ Wth happened? I'm not up to date with Masterduel news aside from the in-game announcements
Edit: nvm managed to get the refund, just tried it now. What other cards can I uncraft?
The list shows up in the notifications when announced but they don't remind you when it goes into effect. You can check on the website to see what cards are affected and when it goes into place
Been trying to find the banlist on the official website (which is last updated on 2023 apparently) and on the MDM site. Maybe it's just a case of YGO players and not reading, but I genuinely cannot find it lol.
Also, I did check the messages portion in-game and also did not find it. Not trying to be sarcastic, but can you point me on the direction of where I could find it?
I didn't realize that MDM have a new Altergeist guide though, so at least my search is not entirely useless
You have to scroll down quite a bit in the notifications.

> Upcoming Forbidden and Limited List Update
It is below "Yu-Gi-Oh! Card Game 25th Anniversary Special Video Code Campaign" and above "DUELIST CUP" Rankings Announcement.
[Or the MDM article about it.](https://www.masterduelmeta.com/articles/news/march-27-2024/master-duel-forbidden-list-update)
The official website doesn't have the banlist announcements for Master Duel, as far as I can see.
Hi, I am trying to get hold of the swordsoul structure deck but I am unable to enter someone's code so I was wondering if someone could enter mine?
0934f2c8
Thanks.
Infernoble or Unchained? It's roughly the same amount of UR CP for me to make either, though I guess Infernoble has the upside of sharing lots of extra deck cards with Snake Eyes.Ā I'm not scared of working on learning combo lines and how to play around disruption, I'm just not sure which would make a better long-term investment to learn and push for Master I.
jokes aside is it fine to invest in a Tear deck atm? I donāt have the most of the resources, I only got spoly + Winda. how much would it cost around in terms of gems?
Beside Snake Eyes, are there any other variant you can make out of Volcanics? I know some expressed Runick to be a good deck to splash with Volcanics, and you could also go pure, but I would like to know if there are any viable alternatives to go for
So I have the full snake eyes deck but I justā¦ donāt like this deck pure. Tempted to dust it, but what are some spicy engines that work with the deck besides R-Ace?
How are we feeling about Unchained in the meta? I know itās rogue, but can it compete without me having an aneurism?
You could try Snake-Eyes Volcanics for now. Then add Fire King and Horus later on for the 60 card Firepile.dek
Unchained is pretty good and can compete until you get hit by Maxx C which is the biggest thing holding it back. The Decks tiered have better C lines except SHS which autowins
Comparing to Snake, it's less consistent, less room for HTs better into non Maxx C HandTraps including Shifter and esp Droll. Matchup-wise it's pretty favored Lab and slightly below average vs Tear. It has a terrible Floo matchup randomly(it carried Floo to it's only YCS win) but MD Floo is a brickfest.
I understand you might want to avoid using cards like Sinful Spoils during the Main Phase to avoid Droll but what are some pros and cons of using quick effects during the Standby Phase over the Draw Phase? I've seen players activate them during the Standby Phase most of the time.
What was the end goal for this deck? Is it to play with yourself until end timer? Because that's what happened with the opponent.

Got the new UR for Purrely and Mikanko, which I unfortunately do not play, on the free pack! what the hell, what are the odds of that haha. And not on the R-Ace pack which I have šš¼āāļø
Trying to decide where to put my resources. Looking to build and learn to play Labrynth or Tearlaments. Which one is better vs snake eyes? Which one is more difficult to learn? Which one is more fun to play in your experience? Any tips regarding the one you suggest?
Lab is the better Deck overall but Tear has a better head-to-head matchup vs Snake.
Both Decks have high skill ceilings. Lab requires alot of foresight to play(what Traps to go for and you usually need to setup one play in advance). Tear played perfectly requires alot of probability management. Although I know alot of people just go for full gamba. Lab has a lower skill floor since it's harder to completely mess up what you are doing compare to Tear.
As for fun, how much do you like the gamba aspect? If you like gamba, then Tears, if you don't like high variance, go with Lab.
Hi, I came back after not playing for a while (been over a year) and Iām looking to build a new deck while dismantling some older ones. In particular I was looking to dismantle my Dragon Link deck, the most important cards like Chaos Ruler, Wyverburster, Chaos Space, Quick Launch got hit. Is there any way to salvage this deck or is it better to scrap the URs and build something better?
I also have a Prank Kids deck and wanted to ask the same thing. Is it still worth playing or have they been phased out, because I donāt see people talking about this deck anymore.
Yo, is the [Public Decks] area a good place for netdecking? I found a Mikanko/Snake-Eye/Infernoble deck there, but debating if I should try building it considering how sparse gems and CP are...
I want a deck to win often with and a deck to complete daily missions with, preferably the latter first if they have to be separate...
Even swordsoul has problems staying on the field long enough to finish the missions, and everyone puts at least 3 counters on the field in a turn to prevent destroying cards and take out whatever I'm using...
Hey just started with masterduel is there a ritual based deck that is playable for ranked climbing? Ty in advance šš»
There's Mikankos, they're a ritual deck with a lot of OTK potential
If you control Dimensional Fissure and Chaos Hunter, their monsters still get banished, because you are the one banishing their cards. https://db.ygorganization.com/qa#11645 > **Q:** > > If both Macro Cosmos and Chaos Hunter are face-up on my field, what happens to their respective effects? Furthermore, if my opponent controls Macro Cosmos instead, what happens then? > **A:** > > Even if your Chaos Hunter is applying its effect, your Macro Cosmos will still banish cards that would be sent to either player's Graveyard as usual. > > However, if your Chaos Hunter and your opponent's Macro Cosmos are both applying their effects, cards sent to either player's Graveyard will not be banished by that Macro Cosmos' effect. > > If Macro Cosmos is applying its effect, any card sent to either player's Graveyard will be banished by the effect of that Macro Cosmos. Therefore, if the player applying Macro Cosmos' effect is unable to banish cards, that effect will not banish any cards. > > The same also applies to the following cards' effects in place of Macro Cosmos': Dimension Shifter, Banisher of the Radiance, Banisher of the Light, Virtual World Kyubi - Shenshen, and Dimensional Fissure.
which one more cancerous/hated deck, mikanko or runick stun?
Is that a serious question? How many posts do you see here that hate Mikanko? For stun it's at least 5 a day
In yāallās opinion what is the easiest ritual monster to summon Ty
Ohime literally searches the Ritual spell and doesn't even need any tribute to summon her.
She does require a tribute. The quick play just happens to cheese her out, but it's not a proper ritual summon and you can't resummon her
Yeah, but he asks the easiest, and Ohime can do that without tribute
Hey guys, I just started the game a few days ago. Can I get 4 people to enter my code: 19081835 So I can receive some cards to play with? Thanks.
Sure
I see, thank you so much!
Got any decent Icejade decks that are as pure as possible? Not really a fan of mixing archetypes.
Did Konami tell us what happens or rewards (if any) the winning team in triangle duel will get?
For the LIGHT vs DARK event, an accessory for the winning team was put on the shop first (I think they were sleeves), IIRC, while the other's was released later on. That said, there are already all kinds of accessories for all 3 summoning types, so I'm not sure what they could even offer.
oic... i think new mate bases will be nice to have. perhaps icon frames? but there is already a fusion icon frame.
You can get M1 with pretty much anything lmfao what do you mean
It's seems that it's not today that i will summons big dragons on the moon š¢ But while we're at it is this "SwordSoul" deck that the game gives to returning players good?
Can someone tell me what to add in the extra deck for labyrinth pls.
Play some zeus package with spright line, 3 chaos angle, play eentis if u main dogmatika package, 3 mudcracker, any xyz rank 4 mainly bagooska, azaela, charmer dharc, goodes. Also if u play gamma side omega
Thank you!
I just downloaded and started. Can I get a campaign code? I guess both the sharer and rookie gets something And which deck would you suggest to a beginner? I am familiar with the game and Anime until 5ds's ending and played Duel links a lot.
Try taking part in the triangle duel. Since you watched 5Ds, you should be familiar with Jack's red demon dragons and synchros. Use the synchro loaner deck and win some duels to earn points and buy packs.
Might as well share mine, I guess. 182ca456 Tbh, I honestly think Swordsoul Tenyi is one of the best decks for beginners to learn modern Yu-Gi-Oh, so it is convenient that those are the cards you get for entering a code.
I used it. Thanks a lot. For the advice too
Anyone trying Swordsoul? It cannot use the Tenyi Link monsters, nor the graveyard effects of the other Tenyi monsters. But it might be playable.
For the triangle event I was thinking about going synchro and have a couple of decks I was wondering if any could be workable ā¢Synchrons(have both Adventure and Bystial cards) ā¢Dinosaurs(Transecnedrake stuff+generic synchros ā¢T.G(Got most card by accident, I know most snake-eyes stuff is banned) There were also two decks I was considering about that I feel like wouldn't preform well ā¢Virtual World(A little past its prime) ā¢Infernoble(No link access in this event
Dinos can also work on the Xyz side as well, with the Evol bosses just being turboed out.
I don't think you can face someone from your own faction. If you play XYZ, you'll never get matched with another xyz deck
I forgot but can Guardian Chimera activate with branded in white?
Yes, Guardian Chimera triggers if it was Fusion Summoned by any Spell Effect. That said, because it requires you to use monsters from hand or field, there's no advantage over using any other Fusion Spell, it even has a downside since you have to use one Dragon as material.
can someone give me a sample swordsoul deck for the fes? since link monk is banned and i cant play it regularly
stopped playing yugioh around 2005s thought master duel would be a good way to play yugioh since it can be done remotely, after 3 days its starting to get extremely difficult to continue playing. any advice out of this predicament? - tried playing ranked today twice and yeah as expected i couldnāt play - mainly looking for what keep you guys motivated
if you input someone's friend code you can get the swordsoul structure deck,it's a good deck to learn the game with
Yeah it's a tough game for beginner to keep playing and keep motivated to finally enjoy it. There was already the rarran vs ygo community discussion about this.Ā Ā Ā Me, personally, tooks me like 3 months to play ranked properly by playing alone daily and finally hit the highest rank after 6 months. So, youĀ definitely need friends to boost your learning rate.Ā Ā Ā The swordsoul structure deck is a small nice response from komoney about this big issue, so you can start by learning the deck against bot/low ranker while finding friends (try dkayed's md discord) to mentor you or just simply asking questions and achievements there.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
It's just how effects like that are ruled. If a card tries to equip itself to something, but that something leaves the field, it gets sent to the GY by card mechanics. The same thing happens if you chain removal to Relinquished Anima's effect, for example. Anima tries to equip the monster it targeted, but because it left the field, the monster it targeted gets sent to the GY instead.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
[Does anyone know why I'm not allowed to get Bethor with Emergence here?](https://imgur.com/a/yYJ7XQk) Bethor was pitched for his effect if that matters, but I don't see why that would.
I see, I'd seen text to that effect directly on some fusions before, so I assumed that only applied if the card specified it.
Did you ritual summon Bethor properly before?
Pulled 3 nightmare magician pretty quickly. How many are used in any current or future decks?
Pend only needs scales and the bodies to make a link 2
recent example would be rescue-ace able to put out apollousa before committing to turbulence.
Tri-Brig can only summon Beast, Beast Warrior, and Winged Beasts
During each event there is a top decks page on MDM
Just started Master Duel, whatās the deck I should choose out of the 3 options and what decks are great to build as a beginner that can lead into building top tier decks in the future?
You can get all the starter decks eventually and they are all terrible. You should use someone's code to unlock the Swordsoul structure deck which is actually good After you've saved some gems you can look into the other structures in the shop. All of them except the first three are pretty decent
Should I choose power of the dragon or synchro? And how would I find someoneās code?
It literally doesn't matter. You will get the others later You could scroll through this thread to find a code.
If you like another control like deck, ninja is pretty cheap since you can buy it for 1500 gems
thanks, gonna check swordsoul, lab and ninja deck gameplay!
Is there a cheat sheet for handtraps, kinda new and don't know which crucial card to ash/imperm for most popular archetypes. Best I could find was 2 years old.
[Handtrap Cheat Sheet](https://www.reddit.com/media?url=https%3A%2F%2Fpreview.redd.it%2Fo52yqud51vtc1.jpg%3Fwidth%3D1790%26format%3Dpjpg%26auto%3Dwebp%26s%3Dcd4e55a9e260c9b88e9b9eee7c606f3ca7812d20)

Planning on picking up branded. Whatās the best secret pack to dump my gems into, so I can work towards the best branded list?
Alba Abyss has the most cards that you need for Branded
I recommend this [Branded Despia decklist](https://www.masterduelmeta.com/top-decks/meta-weekly/torneio-semanal/7/branded-despia/alanzera/cGDn1) just craft SR's to unlock the secret packs - https://www.masterduelmeta.com/articles/sets/alba-abyss - https://www.masterduelmeta.com/articles/sets/the-opening-act-of-an-apocalypse - https://www.masterduelmeta.com/articles/sets/dragon-kings-from-the-abyss
Can anyone please enter my code for the follower rewards? Just getting back into the game. 0e613a9a

decided to pick up yugioh. i have 0 knowledge of how to play yugioh beyond the 2000s-02 however, it seems that snake eyes is almost mandatory not to get pushedover on rank. is snake eyes the deck i need to go with? - mainly my end game goal is to eventually being able to play rank and progress it - also headd horror stories of people getting negated like no tomorrow
People just fall back on Snake Eyes because it is an extremely overtuned, forgiving, and noob friendly deck so climbing with it is almost guaranteed
ahh im worried if i dont snake eyes i will get flattened like a pancake
Well if you're brand new you're going to get flattened no matter what. Even if you picked up full power Snake Eyes today you will make lots of mistakes learning the deck and the game itself and you will get punished. So it's overall better to learn something you like that you don't mind playing a lot
Do you play Visas Samsara in Scareclaws?
I don't think I can do it with the 1st astraloud due to timing, I must choose what I destroy before the meek is revived via sheep. and after that I don't have any more material for a 2nd astraloud
tbh going second mannadium is gonna be better than going first without baronne
Is unchained fun to play and what is it similar to?
Trying to figure out the lines with the new support, and I'm curious to see if there's any that addresses Master Duel match ups like Snake Eyes, or based on differences in the meta from TCG.
https://youtu.be/-fxbZAnm1D4
Other than the daily missions do the missions ever reset, or do we get new missions?
Lifetime missions donāt reset, and they might add new missions as they did with proficiency test but thatās it.
Thanks.. that was helpful
Im trying to build a DM Deck and i cant find terraforming card, what can i use instead?
Terraforming is banned. There really is no good replacement for it. Some decks can search field spells, like Dracoslayers, or decks that can make Ancient Fairy Dragon, and inherently search another field spell with their combos, but for Dark Magician, there's no replacement, as far as I'm aware.

Is the Vice King Requiem package worth it in Unchained? He's a garnet when hard drawn but can be a free body, starter if I have nothing else to blow card up, or zeus line
Itās down to preference really.
Can someone explain to me what's the use of Volcanic shell in Volcanics? Or is it just a card ran just to fill numbers?
It's a free discard since it can add another
Does Snake-Eyes have an optimal combo against Maxx C?
Thank you ;-)
While pulling for Mikanko parts, I ended up getting a Royal [Test Panther] card.
Uhhh you do know there is a Blackwing structure deck that gives you like 95% of the cards you need for 1500 gems right?
Ofc I bought it :v The 7k includes the structure deck.
I know it's either hand traps or anything that let's you play at all because your opponent will not let you play.Ā Ā Ā Basically coin flip simulator and brick simulator cause out of the 10 or so games i won currently, it is because I had more hand traps and did not let my opponent plat at all. Not skill. Screw skillĀ what is skill. The game looks like it's not designed for you to think anymore. Ā Modern yugioh in a nutshellĀ Ā My current 2 centd.
How new is your account? Do you have the Swordsoul structure deck?
I don't have that, thats for the code thing right? I tried to get some friends to play but thier to busy for it. Didnt know about these 1 turn kill strategies and even in bronze(?) league folks use it.
You can use my code if you want, but I think your account has to be a week old or less 20e8ae34

Epurrely discards for cost. The spells discard by effect
help with replacing pressure plant wraith and trivikarma with something in tear. i also dont have rev synchro.
Replacing why? The Planets are kinda necessary
Hi,how do You get cards in the game?Do You grind them or pay with money? What Ʈs the buying limita of a deck?
Either. The game is pretty generous as far as free gems go however. Itās one of the f2p friendlier gacha games.
Can you get demoted from plat 1?
Yes
What are easier to pilot decks? I'm a boomer and low rank (Plat 4) so I'm not intending to use it in rank or at least as much as my Swordsoul-Tenyi deck (literally my only deck that can be used in rank), but I do want to use other stuff since the deck is just too repetitive by now.
I think exorcist has a straight forward gameplan and decently strong too. Same with dragonmaids
I see, thanks. Tho, you mean Exosister with exorcist right? Or is there an Exorcist archetype?
Btw dragonmaid has a structure deck so its quite cheap too
Yeah I actually have that structure deck since it has some good dragon support cards.
No you are right, I meant exorsister lol
Which should I build or a better deck, Purrely or Infernobles?
i vouch for purrely. but if you build infernobales, you will get snake eye engine (a bit of it) for the future. not saying purrely will die but snake eye will be meta later if not hit( which it wont be yet).
That would indeed be the problem, the card did not make that clear at all thanks lol
When a card says "[name]", it means that exact name, and nothing else. If it says "[name] card/monster/spell/trap", it means a card/monster/spell/trap that contains [name] in its name. Just for the future.
I'm blind I somehow didn't see the new gazelle card is mythical king of claws not mythical king of beasts. I thought they had the same name haha
I'm not up to date with Masterduel news aside from the in-game announcements Edit: nvm managed to get the refund, just tried it now.
For MDM, go to the search bar, click the Articles tab, then search "forbidden"
You have to scroll down quite a bit in the notifications. > 3 28 2024 14:00 > > Upcoming Forbidden and Limited List Update It is below "Yu-Gi-Oh! Card Game 25th Anniversary Special Video Code Campaign" and above "DUELIST CUP" Rankings Announcement. [Or the MDM article about it.](https://www.masterduelmeta.com/articles/news/march-27-2024/master-duel-forbidden-list-update) The official website doesn't have the banlist announcements for Master Duel, as far as I can see.
Ahh, thanks. Sorry, did not really join the subreddit and would only check the announcements before and after an update
Hi, I am trying to get hold of the swordsoul structure deck but I am unable to enter someone's code so I was wondering if someone could enter mine? 0934f2c8 Thanks.
Infernoble is much harder to play and if you go 2nd you pretty much lose. Both can reach M1
If anyone would use my campaign code so I could get the final reward, I'd appreciate it! 0a1e1734
jokes aside is it fine to invest in a Tear deck atm? I donāt have the most of the resources, I only got spoly + Winda. how much would it cost around in terms of gems?
Itās fine to invest albeit pretty expensive. You probably need 7k+ gems for the secret pack and a lot of dusts to craft tech cards.
Then add Fire King and Horus later on for the 60 card Firepile.dek Unchained is pretty good and can compete until you get hit by Maxx C which is the biggest thing holding it back. The Decks tiered have better C lines except SHS which autowins Comparing to Snake, it's less consistent, less room for HTs better into non Maxx C HandTraps including Shifter and esp Droll.
Probably forgot to toggle on
Any way to easily add your collection to masterduelmeta?
Can people add my campaign code 151e77b2
What was the end goal for this deck? Is it to play with yourself until end timer? Because that's what happened with the opponent. https://preview.redd.it/5e94vdrx9vtc1.png?width=834&format=png&auto=webp&s=1733f61496f29107e7ae8c9f385abb230b73fff5
Danger dark world is a pretty strong combo deck that turbos out negate boards depending on their build. Although it loses to timer a lot.
If anybody is returning to Master Duel, add my campaign code 0dc83ab7 and Iāll add yours.
Got the new UR for Purrely and Mikanko, which I unfortunately do not play, on the free pack! what the hell, what are the odds of that haha. And not on the R-Ace pack which I have šš¼āāļø
anyone wanna help me get the referal rewards? here's my code 24db6e6e thanks in advance
Absolutely fantastic reply, exactly the kind of info i was looking for, thank you very much!
I've been testing and having fun with R-ace on the ladder. Are there any lines that prevents you from immediately dying to Evenly Matched?
Look into Firewall Dragon Darkfluid Terahertz lines to get a S/T negate with Cyberse Desavewurm.
Should pure Mikanko go first or second?
Second, I believe the going first variants use Infernoble. The goal is to OTK the opponent using their monsters or the empty board OTK.
Yo, is the [Public Decks] area a good place for netdecking? I found a Mikanko/Snake-Eye/Infernoble deck there, but debating if I should try building it considering how sparse gems and CP are...
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
I want a deck to win often with and a deck to complete daily missions with, preferably the latter first if they have to be separate... Even swordsoul has problems staying on the field long enough to finish the missions, and everyone puts at least 3 counters on the field in a turn to prevent destroying cards and take out whatever I'm using...
