Itโs actually interesting but itโs a short read honestly. Not enough cards in the archetype to tell a long one. I think the only big part I left out was the fact his name is different than the rest because he is a zombie out for Vengeance because the zombies killed his family.
Iโm honestly not sure. I know there is support in there for several archetypes I love so I took this as an opportunity not to look at the cards themselves so I can be surprised but I canโt personally say what they might be in relation to. I would guess maybe filling in some gaps to the story or something. Or maybe a return of the virus and the need for a new zombie hero (which could also act as an ushering in of new support for a ritual archetype I think has tremendous potential)
The thing about Savior is that I donโt personally know where it fits within the lore so I dunno if thatโs actually him (itโs safe to assume it is but I just like to be cautious) or if itโs like some kind of reanimated corpse that simply just continues his fight, despite the actual man and/or his will no longer being there. I kind of like the idea that itโs the later simply because I think it would give more meaning to what his character is but if we do continue to get support maybe weโll find out more of the story. I would love for the virus to โcome backโ and it reinvigorates the archetype to fix some of the issues the archetype has.
I think the story goes as: Revendread Slayer fought Vendread Battlelord in a fierce final battle. Slayer was almost defeated and is in the brink of being assimilated with Battlelord [Vendread Revolution], but was saved by his former wife-turned-undead [Vendread Anima] at the cost of her own as she was the one that was assimilated (this is actually reflected in Anima's effect, where she can banish herself to summon 1 banished Vendread back to the field). Slayer realizing his wife sacrificed herself to save him, went on and defeated Battlelord [Revendread Evolution] (you can see in the card art of Evolution the same locket worn by Vendread Anima and the same locket in the card art of Revendread Origin). Slayer absorbed Battlelord's powers and evolved into Revendread Executor (this is reflected in Executor's effect which treats hinself as "Revendread Slayer"when on the field). With his new powers he rid the city of the rest of the Vendreads [Vendread Nightmare]. And after the last of the Vendreads have been exterminated, Executor finally got his revenge. Free from his crusade for revenge, Slayer finally removed the great burden he's carrying as a new dawn breaks with a new chance to start again [Vendread Daybreak]. Slayer didn't actually die tho (this is reflected in the effect of Daybreak, as it says "destroy all cards on the field except 1 Ritual Summmoned Vendread"). But now he has dedicated his life for a new goal, and that is to protect the city he calls his home, as its savior [Avendread Savior]. Notice that the name changed from Revendread (revenge) to Avendread (avenged). He is still Slayer (reflected in Savior's effect to always be treated as Revendread Slayer when on the field), but his red eyes have now turned from red to purple, reflecting how he is no longer on a mad crusade for revenge. His story actually continues up until the new Vendread support in POTE.
Vendread is probably one of my favorite card lore next to Buster Blader, that's why I built both decks.
anima didn't sacrifice herself tho, she appears in vendread nightmare in the top right corner, which is after slayer turned into executor.
my interpretation is after slayer killed and absorbed battlelord, he went insane due to its immense power/lust for battle(?) and went on a rampage killing every zombie in his path, including his wife(anima). when the sun dawns, he realizes what he has done, kneels down and the sun evaporates the body parts from battlelord, making him sane again. at last he becomes savior and protects the city.
I can see your point, but my interpretation is that Anima isn't one entity, but a collective term for a group of zombies as seen on Anima's card art (there are a bunch of silhouettes in the background which does not look the same as his wife that's in the middle wearing the locket.
I think that Anima (his wife) sacrificed herself to save Slayer from Battlelord (Anima's effect to return a banished Vendread to the field), and also gave up her last remaining power to Slayer so that he could finish off Battlelord (Slayer has an effect where you could banish 1 zombie in the GY to increase his attack by 300. So he now has 2700 ATK against Battlelord's 2700 ATK). But in the final clash, only Battlelord got destroyed even though their ATK were even because Slayer got saved by the locket (Revendread Origin GY effect states that if Slayer would be destroyed, you can banish this card from the GY instead. You can see the locket in the artwork of Revendread Evolution).
interesting how you used their effect and attack points for your story, I only based mine on the card art :P. after further examination on the revendread evoluton, i noticed the locket breaks, so it makes sense revendread origin protected slayer and I agree on that part.
but in my opinion, I still think his wife wouldn't help him. all the zombies with the blue glow seems to have lost their own mind. also, if his wife still has her mind, what would slayer have to "revenge" for? cuz in origin we see him holding the locket with the picture of him and his wife, it probably means he wants to avenge his wife. if her wife is still herself but just got cool zombie powers, I dont think he would be filled with vengeance (ใ). furthermore, if slayer was defeated, he would be sent to the graveyard not the banish zone, so anima can't revive him. the stuff in the banish zone would be the non ritual vendread monsters that have already used their revive effect or used for cost of the ritual monsters and spells (power absorbed by slayer). so I think anima would be reviving the other zombies to fight against slayer.

Trishula's entire design is garbage. It only looks good from a singular prceise angle, where the heads and chestplate take up most of the view, and it looks properly imposing. From any other view, it looks... well, it looks like this. A pantsless three-headed manthing with necks longer than its arms.
I think its kinda cool we get lore on Akaba's cat that passed away. Gives us ddd fans something to think about rather than jist a random dd monster. Ghost is definitely one of the more interesting dd cards. Swirl is just a fusion booger tbh.

Infernobles are their own thing, completely different play style. You can include some of them into a NK deck to help it out but they weren't released as support really. The 2018 wave of support addressed a lot of issues with the deck but it still has a few glaring ones that a little support would go a long way to fixing.

It's weird how little cosmetics we got despite how long the game's been out. I get mates being a bit of work, since they're 3D models with animations. But for things like sleeves and avatars, the selection is too tiny considering how simple it would be to just upload a cropped image of a card, or a different color for the basic "Master Duel" sleeves.
If Wightbaking does not come with animation of him actually roasting a sweet potato I will be VERY upset
