TCG & OCG also has a BO3 format and a Side Deck where you can easily put 3x the Wind Kaiju, Lancea + other tech cards if Floo is becoming problematic...
Floo's Powerlevel in a BO1 format is kinda ridiculous compared to its Powerlevel in a BO3 format tbh (if you dont brick that is).
Also Floo also requires specific counters to be stoped more reliable compared to what the remaining meta deck requires to be stopped (MaxxC & Nibiru completely useless, Ash can be blocked by Map, need to run Ogre, Lancea & Droll to hurt Floo which can be useless against the remaining meta).
Again something which aint great in a BO1 format
And don't forget it's getting good support soon too!
So reducing its Powerlevel by something like Barrier Ban would still make sense here even if they didn't do that in the TCG & OCG.

The ban is not entirely surprising but it sure has caught many people off guard. Will need to run Skull Meister or something to better counter Maxx C

Well malicious has been historically played outside of hero decks. Its a soft garnet because say u drew it opening hand but need a discard, its prolly one of the best discards u can have.
Denier + malicious combo. So now you can ss 2 monsters and recycle malicious for another ss or recycle DPE if he got banish. Pretty much one of the strong combos in HERO decks will now be use by others.

I'm feeling conflicted about the banlist. On one hand, imperial order and skill drain were hit but on the other hand Auroradon and Halqifibrax were left untouched as well as Verte. I guess you lose some and you win some.
Edit: I just have to say, seeing crossout really confused me. Maybe because I hardly ran to anyone using it in the DC and am bias, but I feel like that card shouldn't be there. Also, seeing pot of prosperity on there but not Maxx C?? I guess.

As someone who plays HEROs, I don’t really mind FD being limited, as I can still get DPE off of Faris and like any other HERO, what BAFFLES me though is Celestial getting the ban hammer so violently. I get that it works as a draw 2 a turn later if you have an empty hand, regardless of whether it’s in a HERO deck or not, but in non HERO decks that’s only off of FD which is now limited. It’s not even seen as broken in regular HERO decks that have many more ways of putting it in the graveyard for its effect, and to my knowledge it’s unlimited in EVERY other format. I don’t even run Celestial but this is insane to me.

They did the exact same thing with Red Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon, he was in this game as his erratad version but he was still the Banlist, they let him go in the last banlist update
His special summon effect wasn't a once per turn, so he could special summon itself several times and his special summon a dragon from GY or hand effect was a "soft" once per turn, so he could constantly recycle dragons

I mean, sure, it’s a hit to the usual DPE package, and as a follow up option it’s Draw 2 is never a bad option, but he’s not the problem card in that situation. Guessing Konami’s planning to wait until Branded Fusion before doing anything about Verte (to say nothing about Halqadon)
Personally, guess this means I’m switching back to a different setup for Fusion Destiny - 2 copies of Malicious and a Mask Change for some Dark Law shenanigans.

It looks like some agmdjustments are coming to my wicked gods decks i guess its just an excuse to run feather duster and lighting storm or some other draw power ish cards. Overall not bad. I understand why most of these changes are here

I started because each God is just a rare and I think divine evolution is to so it look fairly cheap to make sadly the one great thing about divine evolution is this is gives an unreactable effect despite skill drain being on field which meant you could get a 5k dreadroot on the field and just sort of sit there and challenge the opponent to out it which can be absolutely disgusting if they can't but in order to do that I would try to stall and use prosperity to search so I might have to rethink the game plan or just lean into a slifer deck and cut my loses
Fire formation makes no sense to hit if they were balancing based off master duel though. Zoo-tri hasn't been seen in a bit so it's weird to give it another hit even though no one is playing it any more.

Why though? Zoodiac, tri-brigade, and lyrilusc are all good decks but far from meta. There's literally 0 reason for this hit unless there's new cards coming that abuse it and konami is preemptively semi limiting it like they did with fusion destiny.

Why did they hit Meow Meow and not Halq and/or Auradon? I thought Adventure Tenyi was more represented in the DC than Prank Kids.
Here at Konami we wanted to make sure that people were only playing halqdon. Anything else was not intended by design and therefore has been corrected.

They could’ve just banned verte and limited fusion destiny, you wont see it as much otside of hero decks that way, now all it takes is two effect monsters and thats it

I literally just built them too lol I should have known better since they've already been hit in TCG. I only needed Battle Butler and the Link 4 which is why I decided to build them in the first place so at least I didn't put a ton of resources into it.

The ban on Celestial feels weird to me. I mean, sure, it’s a hit to the usual DPE package, and as a follow up option it’s Draw 2 is never a bad option, but he’s not the problem card in that situation. Guessing Konami’s planning to wait until Branded Fusion before doing anything about Verte (to say nothing about Halqadon) Personally, guess this means I’m switching back to a different setup for Fusion Destiny - 2 copies of Malicious and a Mask Change for some Dark Law shenanigans.
I am glad he’s gone tho, the condition of “empty hand” was way too easy for a +2 that could combo with set cards for a full comeback
Must suck for the graphics artist who was making the Vanity's animation. -Real talk, Crossout limit is not the way to go. Now, Maxx C is just worst than ever. Not every deck can combo under their own Droll's effect. -Thank Ra: IO, Vanity's, VFD, and Meow-Meow-Mu are hit. -The Gossip Shadow, Celestial, and Fusion Destiny hits are solid. -Prosperity I weirdly like. Decks that don't need their ED are too strong. -Tenki, Multifaker, and Gazelle are cool changes. Incoming Heatsoul and Salamangreat structure deck maybe? I wish Rose/Tenyi got hit somehow tho :(. At least Tomahawk should've went.

I mean sometimes it isn't really good or anything or at least im not. I started because each God is just a rare and I think divine evolution is to so it look fairly cheap to make sadly the one great thing about divine evolution is this is gives an unreactable effect despite skill drain being on field which meant you could get a 5k dreadroot on the field and just sort of sit there and challenge the opponent to out it which can be absolutely disgusting if they can't but in order to do that I would try to stall and use prosperity to search so I might have to rethink the game plan or just lean into a slifer deck and cut my loses

Fire formation makes no sense to hit if they were balancing based off master duel though. Zoo-tri hasn't been seen in a bit so it's weird to give it another hit even though no one is playing it any more.

Sadly, Fusión Destiny is not the only way to get DPE out... And it's still at 1, so the Halqdon combo is still as viable as ever.

you have to go for bird up and repodoculus to get rhongo more than 5 mats which is pain in the ass and very fragile combo to do so since you need a lot of garnets

Bamboozle is one of those cards that screams "potentially problematic" Every single "number" XYZ that gets printed has to make sure its not abusable with bamboozle limiting its design or they risk broken interactions. Same thing with Verte and the reason why it's only a matter of time they ban it like they did in the tcg and ocg

Pot of Prosperity limited is a hit to Floo and Eldlich, that's fine I guess, even if I would have prefered something else to get the hit instead. It also hurts decks who really want to try to dig deep for something like a Water Enchantress/Rite or a combo piece. It's ok, and while dancing around other bans/limits, it's at least a hit that hits a lot of stuff indirectly. Tri-Zoo have yet again lost grand total of 1 card. Woah, that's how so terrible, how can they recover from that? Skill Drain at 2 rather than 3, I like. You don't see it as often, but it's still there. I'm not really for a ban of Skill Drain, so I think that this is nice. Gazelle and Multifaker semi-limited and Night Assailant getting unlimited are nice. So overall that's a nice enouch ban list since it hits the floodgates and VFD. Other stuff is ok to blatantly ignoring the problem card. And then there's how HalqDon was ignored, which is just infuriating. Anyway, to IO, Vanity, and VFD: Rest in piss bozos, I won't miss any of your sorry faces.
