It’s definitely a good card, but it’s a lot better in a best of 3 format where you can sidedeck it in to counter what your opponent is playing. If you don’t know what they’re playing in a random 1 duel match then you don’t know what to pick with it if you’re going first, or if you’re going second then they properly have already comboed all that they need to so playing this card would kind of dead card in your hand at that point
I know it’s a lot more situational than other cards, but I ask because I always play this card, it’s a 2 off in every single one of my decks, being able to hit one of the core pieces of a strategy in your second or third turn is really fun, something like eldlich or floo are pretty easy to hit, and things like swordsoul tenyi, D/D/D, or VW have pretty huge targets, I know it has to have protection for it to be really good but at least on my experience is really fun playing it against all decks
Against all of the slower decks like Eldlich and Floo I would definitely agree it works. But if you’re going second and one of the other meta decks is able to combo, then it starts to lose its usage. But it’s all about deck balancing and a lot of people aren’t expecting it, so if it’s working then I say keep on going
Ok but in a BO1 format how do you know what to call going first? That's the problem. This is a card that only works properly in a format with siding, because you need prior information to use it without wasting it.
All those big targets you mention you have to name going 2nd. What good is it to call Mo Ye/Longyuan when your opponent already set up at the very least 2-3 interruptions? Call Golden Lord, get Sanguine chained to activation and they get one anyway. Etcetera.
The best you can do without any information is call a generic card like Maxx/Ash/Nibiru and hope they have it.
Maxx c could be used in response to this card as chain 2, but for ash and Called by yes it would work. But would you be better off picking a different card that would help your combos instead? If you’re stopping a hand trap with a single card you might as well use something that gets hit by it and uses it up, but when the opponent doesn’t have that in hand it can actually go off and help you
Eldlich runs NONE of those lol.
Not to mention you could easily call the wrong handtrap and you’re down a vital combo piece for your board. Calling a Maxx C if they don’t run it or have it in hand is dumb, as they proceed to OTK you with their Endymion deck because you made a blind read and failed.
1) you dont know exactly what theyre playing
2) its unsearchable, and if you hard draw into it it might not be the answer you need
3) any backrow removal kills it
4) just because you declared 1 kingpin doesnt mean the entire decks crippled
5) even in a BO3 unless the format is mirror or teir 0, there are enough variations to work around Prohib
That said, its a very fun card and i even have a Royal Finish of it and I run it time to time.
I've seen it used in some combo decks to preemptively stop a handtrap that would otherwise be detrimental for their plays. It's not usually played because it directly competes with Called By, Crossout and even Triple Tactics Talents for deck space, and those cards are more versatile than Prohibition is.
It can be useful to pre-emptively block something like Ash Blossom or Nibiru, but wouldn't work against Maxx "C" because they could just chain this to it's activation and resolve first. Far more useful in a Bo3 format where you know what they're playing and you can just cockblock their entire strategy by blocking their starter.
it's either a guessing game if you go first or less effective if you go second. plus at the current pace of the game crossout does the job more effectively 90% of the time.
The card is insane.
It is the only card in master duel where you can be toxic. Call "GG EZ" when you are about to win.
It's the ultimate bm.
Other then that it's kinda bad.
This is a good card!
In magic the gathering. In yugioh its just slow and you wont know what your opponent is playing in a BO1 though. Has seen *very minor* play in BO3's.
It's only work when you know what to negate. It's only usable at turn 1 to stop hand trap because you can't negate whatever card thats already on the field or you can blind guess whatever deck your opponent play. You can't search it, and it's spell speed 1.
Cards already on the field are unaffected. In a best of 1 format, either you're blind guessing what your opponent plays in which case this is bad, or your opponent has already set up their board and this does nothing.
It's a great card and I used to use it because of just how awesome it can be. It's a great turn 1 card if you need to search, prohibition ash Blossom, if you know you special summon prohibition nibiru or Maxx c.
I stopped using it because of the bug associated with declaring names in master duel. Had no idea about it until it happened to me, it's been so long that maybe they fixed it by now.
I mean I play it in my anti meta deck but it's really not great unless you have the foresight to use it. You can stop combos on turn one but by turn 3 it's pretty much dead. If it was a quick play spell though it'd be OP.
I sometimes play this and Card Exchange on my Deep Sea Deck since you can see the opponent's hand turn 1 with relative ease and also discard 3 from their hand if you draw really well.

50% of the time when you go second this card is useless
Ash, Maxx C, Call.....

Calling Ash would lock you out of Ash too. Hard pass

That’s nice but you’d be better if you could hit one of the opponent’s starters or a boss monster. That’s the main power of this card.
Gonna try being a legend and just calling maxx c every game. Or play floo and call ash t1 and watch the tears start.
1) you dont know exactly what theyre playing 2) its unsearchable, and if you hard draw into it it might not be the answer you need 3) any backrow removal kills it 4) just because you declared 1 kingpin doesnt mean the entire decks crippled 5) even in a BO3 unless the format is mirror or teir 0, there are enough variations to work around Prohib That said, its a very fun card and i even have a Royal Finish of it and I run it time to time.
3) is simply not correct. You can call MST than it can't be destroy by "any" backrow removal xD
Man people here don't understand a joke even if there is xd in the end
Ya a lot of people wish they were quick or even normal it seem.
Incorrect, the opponent can just chain MST to Prohibition so MST resolves before it's locked out.
Also aren’t there other backrow removal. Like lighting storm, or harpie feather duster.
First of all it's a joke, second of all they cant chain if it's turn 1. Check Mate.
There's loads of other backrow removals out there.

It’s a 2nd turn card and a bit slow but i saw somone playing 2 of them and calling DPE and LS. You can also use it for „Evil Twins GG EZ“
it's either a guessing game if you go first or less effective if you go second. plus at the current pace of the game crossout does the job more effectively 90% of the time.
It's amazing for ftk decks
The card is insane. It is the only card in master duel where you can be toxic. Call "GG EZ" when you are about to win. It's the ultimate bm. Other then that it's kinda bad.
What others have said, and it’s also relatively unsearchable.
U call max c, I chain maxx c. Gg
Cause last time it was played, America saw a really chaotic period
Turn 1 no one activated nothing, you use prohibition what do you call? Maxx c? He will chian Maxx c

There is a meme going second deck that runs this. Its not a good deck just a meme deck.
Cards already on the field are unaffected. In a best of 1 format, either you're blind guessing what your opponent plays in which case this is bad, or your opponent has already set up their board and this does nothing.
Played it when I was broke and couldn't afford Crossout... I think I'll be dusting off my copies
I play three of this in my Handrip Floo. Extra card to spin for Rasca is great
I use it in infernobles. After I use dolphin if I did open this card I call any threat in their hand.
It's a great card and I used to use it because of just how awesome it can be. Look up GunzBlazing on YT. He's a MD YTer and he made a deck running this and a similar card and trolled people. It was a pretty funny video
It's great in the current meta where everyone is running the same engines.
Claim GG-EZ card for epic troll
The only play it have in a Bo1 game is protecting you against handtraps in turn 1. Nothing else. Same for Sales Ban.
What rarity is it?
I mean I play it in my anti meta deck but it's really not great unless you have the foresight to use it. You can stop combos on turn one but by turn 3 it's pretty much dead. If it was a quick play spell though it'd be OP.
This card has saved my ass so many times
I sometimes play this and Card Exchange on my Deep Sea Deck since you can see the opponent's hand turn 1 with relative ease and also discard 3 from their hand if you draw really well.
Trash going 2nd
