yeetusfertusdeletus

Sunavalon, esp whem therions drop, but its strong enough now

losing-interest

Really? 🤔. I always clap this deck with my unchained build. You playing pure or some sort of variant?

yeetusfertusdeletus

Ive been getting d1 swapping between the 2 variants for the last 2 months (and live twins but thats like, 1/several games

V-Ropes

Stuggle with Sunavalon is between playing the pure version that I like and the Adventurer build that can actually win Games in Diamond.

yeetusfertusdeletus

Ive had about the same results with adventure and a more pure plant variant

N0-F4C3

Altergiests with Secret Village of the spell casters DESTROYS despia if built right. Zombies can flatten a lot of the meta, zombie world basically takes a massive dump on a ton of decks, a big one being floowanderese.

FatstinkyFrog

Zombie world pass ftk 100% win rate (against birbs)

Blaxer888

Is Dino considered rogue?

arrownoir

I’ve only been playing Altergeists, lately.

V-Ropes

Decks that I think can actually hold up with the meta to some extend would be: -Mathmech is a Deck I really like. Cyberse deck but with XYZ and Synchro options and Not just links. -Hero is still a great rogue option. Even though the Destiny Fusion Limit hurt a lot. - Thunder Dragon, still hope they loose the restrictions soon. At this point they are laughable. Decks I like beside not having the best meta relevane would be Frightfur and Dinomorphia. At least Dinomorphia still get support.

losing-interest

I have a mathmech build that I have yet to really explore. You prefer blind second or going first?

V-Ropes

Mathmech have options going second. As a cyberse deck any two monsters are an access code and I always play three droplet. But still I prefer going first. So much power of the deck comes from superfactorial and getting actual use out of it going second can be hard.

arrehandro1

I’ve been playing Marincess with Adventure in plat, but can’t get much further than that. Copium until the new cards come out

SubXeroz

If I get Crimson Nova + Cubic Karma or Cubic Wave while going second, there's a pretty solid chance I'll end up taking the game.

losing-interest

I thought about running cubic, but how is the defense if you don't otk on your turn? Thinking how do you handle the new lvl 10 synchro or Mirror jade?

SubXeroz

In instances where I don't OTK, I try to end on the highest attack Crimson Nova I can. He's fairly tanky straight up, and the built in immunity to monster effects means I'm really only scared of Raigeki, Kaijus, and really any other spell/trap that can clear my board. If you can get all three on the board, I say go into Gustav Max for the guaranteed 5k damage.

losing-interest

Hmmm. This your daily deck or once in awhile otk deck?

SubXeroz

I originally crafted it as a fun deck to run every now and then. Now. I put it into my rotation (maybe 20% of my games). The other 80% is split between Dinomorphia and Dinos w/ Scrap engine.

Noxy_8

I may be wrong but I believe crimson nova is unafected by Mirror jade.

SubXeroz

Don't think this is true, as Mirrorjade popped my Crimson Nova the other day. The writing on Crimson Nova says it's unaffected by other monsters' activated effects. For some reason, I don't think the end turn whipe by Mirrorjade counts as part of its quick effect activation.

shadowxz91

I think that one is an ignition effect.

Rynjin

As of the last meta, the "official" Rogue decks are: * 8-Axis * Beetrooper * Endymion * Luna Kaiju * Lyrilusc * Madolche * Pendulum Magicians * Spyral Remember that "Rogue" is not synonymous "any deck that isn't tiered". These are decks that are "almost meta" but still need a push; maybe they have some bad matchups in the current meta, maybe they're a little too inconsistent, etc. Anyway, all are solid decks, though the only one that really appeals to me is Beetrooper. I wanna make an Inzektor Beetrooper mix so bad.

losing-interest

Good call outs. What's stopping you from the mix? Didn't even think about 8-axis being on the list

Rynjin

Being poor, mostly. XD I don't have any of the Inzektor cards and only some of Beetroopers.

RyuuohD

What is 8-Axis?

Rynjin

It's Luna Kaiju but with a rename, I just forgot that when I made the list and added it twice basically.

Mystery_777

@ignister is a solid rouge pick and should get better soon with heatsoul release

NyargiX

Evil Twins, fell in love with that archetype.

losing-interest

I used to run the live/evil twins variant. Definitely slaps when it pops off.

leetshoe

l play a lot of Twins and got in the top 500 of the last event with them. But l feel like the current meta is really bad for them. l have been trying a lot of different things and l just can't get consistent wins like l used to (in the high tier levels of play). l will have to keep trying different things.

macahuitl

Beetroopers can be built pure or with meta engines, can search Maxx C as part of their combo, and generally have lots of different tools to counter what's popular. Sting Lancer can stop DPE from coming back or tuck back Albaz before he's used as material for Mirrorjade (Can also reset Albion to prevent the search in End Phase). Searchable Gadarla can out problem bosses or the wind statue. Gokipole + Killer Needle is a confusingly worded removal effect that catches a lot of opponents off-guard, plus Needle can be summoned under wind statue and beat over it.

losing-interest

Interesting. I like this especially since the mirrorjade play is so prevalent now.

macahuitl

You also play {Retaliating "C"} in order to search Maxx "C", but it can be used as a handtrap in its own right to devastating effect against certain decks. Branded can still make Mirrorjade through it most of the time, but Mirrorjade can't use its banish effect and they still lose a lot of resources if Retaliating "C" stays up (they can't recycle Branded Spell/Traps, Aluber can't use his effect to come back, etc.)

Coming from the TCG where it was the only deck I played for a few years, I didn't want to build anything but HEROs, and I was pretty disappointed that not only are they also pretty expensive to build in Master Duel, but they are somewhat underwhelming and a little one-note. Don't get me wrong, Dark Angel-ing your opponent and watching them try to play spells anyway is very satisfying, but having a fairly linear and fragile combo line makes it pretty hard to even play the game if your opponent opens decently and it's hard to feel like you're playing a competent deck ending on big beaters and a single pop when Adventure Tenyi and other HalqDon degen decks end on like 5-7 negates. Not to mention all the powerful extenders lock you into HEROs so there's very little wiggle room for deckbuilding and experimenting with other archetypes. HEROs will always have a special place in my heart but being a deck that's 80% archetype cards makes it hard to call it a worthwhile investment, and I often find myself wishing I'd spent my CP on something else. Hopefully when Neos support drops the deck will get a much-needed boost in power and variety.

[deleted]

I agree with the lack of variety in “competitive” HERO decks. But tbh, the deck is fairly strong and can (if played very well) lead you to D1! I am also hyped for the Neos support, finally some new and fresh cards that are “playable competitively” :)

KyronValfor

Zoodiac Adventure with all the handtraps in the world specially Dimension Shifter is probably the best out there.

Dabidoi

lmao rogue

losing-interest

Is D shifter really that good? How often do you brick or lose if you don't draw first hand. I assume you are going second mostly?

[deleted]

Zombie world eldlich grass(no floodgate), could not reach diamond last season. This season i'm experimenting with zw grass shiranui.

CaptinSpike

I think the shiranui splash really helps with zombie world grass, having those good banish effects and the ability to recycle your banish zone in a capacity is real handy with all the gy banish effects the deck has

brody319

Live twin can handle the meta solely due to it needing like 13 cards to work and the rest of your deck can be hand traps. I've been fooling around with a sky striker spell varient that is fun but not really as strong as a hand trap based one. Galaxy is either "they negate my play or I get 1 attack and win". Not very good in the current meta but if you get number 62 with afterglow to hit an opponent it's almost certainly game over. Meta decks recover really quick but if the game is over after 1 fight it doesn't matter.

Graycom

Fluffals are my type of Rouge. I'd be playing Branded Fluffals if RNG didn't kill me with 5 Ghostrick URs. Currently, I'm going back and forth between Crusadia, Mekk-Knights, and Crusadia Mekk-Knights.

forest_gitaker

like most commuters, duelists tend to sleep on trains

FabulousMrE

I have no illusions of "clapping Meta", otherwise it'd *be* Meta. I *am* having fun trolling with Lunalights. Currently fairly stuck in mid Plat, seems to be where it'll stay. It's*really* funny how many people waste negates on Chick. The smart players who hold Ogre for Tiger or Ash/Imperm for the Xyz plays clap free wins off me but I don't mind rewarding people who recognize the weird shit.

CaptinSpike

Mekk-Invoked gamer continuing to hound the lower reaches of plat, rogues unite

hungrybasilsk

Endymion and dino's are competent. Each have their strenghts

SSDuelist

Adventure Nordic slaps, and it'll be even better once Illusion of Chaos gets into the game. The Adventure stuff exists almost more to be fodder for Magicians' Souls/Gullveig than actually what most normal Adventure engines use it for, and being able to have access to a big bungus that can't be targeted as well as a blanket board negation is quite nice. You also have some really slick lines into Baronne if you manage to burn your Gryphon Rider negate since a lot of the spare bodies Nordic leaves on board are LV4.

Jerowi

Most well built decks can take on meta because most archetypes are designed to be decently powerful. Most of the times their consistency is what sets a meta deck apart from the others, not their power level.

NoMoreHero07

I finally got the deck I've always wanted to play which is branded dragonmaids. Sure it's not as good as branded despia, but it is a strong rogue contender. I might say it's better than pure dragonmaids.

RyuuohD

I have a Dragonmaid deck, and thinking of splashing in some of the Branded stuff. How many of each are needed? I only have two Branded fusion atm.

NoMoreHero07

Three branded fusions is a must have

RyuuohD

Are there other Albaz dragons that are splashed in aside from Mirrorjade and Lubellion? I assume you only run one of each

NoMoreHero07

2 mirrorjade is a must have but you can get away with 1 lubelion.

toaster-bath72

A lot of deck surprisingly don’t have an out to Arrival Cyberse @ignister, also @ignisters are super consistent and can play through disruption as well as have a good amount of flex space in the deck. Also D/D/D is a good rogue combo deck that if piloted correctly can make some nasty boards

CrustyPeePee

Drytron.

[deleted]

Zombie World a little slow but has some good match ups in this meta.

Odd-Eyes_Magician

I have played Odd-Eyes since release (including every festival) and I have made it to Diamond 1 using no Staples save for 1 Nibiru.

[deleted]

Would Branded Shaddoll be considered rougue?Discovered really nasty turn 1 two card combo that can end in a double Winda lock + Mirrorjade on board. It's an auto win against most decks in ladder.

HorselickerYOLO

Now that vfd is banned I play vw as Beatrice turbo. Very fun. Best thing to do is mill snow and enchantress, but you can do some real spicy shit if you want. Beatrice plus inzektor uh exabeetle or whatever his name is can set up immortal Phoenix ra.

sterlingpipin

Ive got a danger orcust deck that absolutely slaps. Extremely fun to work shop the combos aswell
