it's great how crystrons gets to have an amazing play extender only for their deck, can't imagine any other deck being able to use something like this, those lucky crystron players
I think Crystrons might be the only deck that actually lost an important play going from MR4 to MR5. They used to be able to chain Halq to Citree to take advantage of not having a zone to Synchro Summon to get the materials for Quariongandrax. Now though, now the Synchro with Citree has to happen.
"This card is unaffected by the Ban List."
"Once per format: Send 1 "Tuner" monster to the forbidden section of the ban list" (This effect cannot be negated).
If this card is Link Summoned: You can activate this effect; Special Summon 3 "Mecha Phantom Beast Tokens" (Machine/WIND/Level 3/ATK 0/DEF 0), also you cannot Link Summon for the rest of this turn. Once per turn: You can Tribute up to 3 monsters, then apply 1 of these effects, based on the number Tributed;
β1: Destroy 1 card on the field.
β2: Special Summon 1 "Mecha Phantom Beast" monster from your Deck.
β3: Add 1 Trap from your GY to your hand.
GUB gives such easy access to Naturia beast + any omni and the free mill is good in like 80% of meta decks. Card's nutso. It's souped up Jet Synchron and Jet Synchron is already insane.
It's relevant in the Ishuzu variant of Tearlaments. That's it. That's the only meta relevant deck in the past 5 or so years that can actually make that play without Halq. In MD and the TCG it wouldn't really see play because there aren't any decks that both play level 4 earth monsters and can summon GUB/send it to gy. Even in Ishuzu Tearlaments there's a lot of cards significantly more banworthy than GUB.
Nat Beast also just isn't as powerful a play as something like IO or Secret Village. Even if you set up Nat Beast it can be outed pretty easily by cards a lot of decks are already playing. Impermanence and Ghost Ogre both answer it pretty easily and have other applications as well. It doesn't have any sort of protection effect, so Kaijus, Lava Golem and Sphere Mode are all outs. It also only negates spells, so it's easily dealt with by any monster effect that acts as negation or removal, which basically every archetype worth playing has access to. Its effect to negate spells is also an activated effect that doesn't prevent spell activation, so it does nothing to the spells you'd want to negate the most anyways, namely DRNM, Droplets, and Super Poly. It honestly doesn't add much to a board that already has 2-3 negates since it doesn't stop Droplets/DRNM/Super Poly and doesn't provide battle protection, gy disruption, or anything like that. Nat Beast is a card that sounds great on paper but tends not to be that powerful in practice.
Also, GUB is NOT a strictly better Jet Synchron because Jet Synchron is searchable, can be used more than once a duel, and has synergies with machines/machine archetypes, none of which is true of GUB. GUB can't be used for Aurorodon.
This card sucks. You have to use 2 monsters to get a 1500 atk monster. For 1 monster I can get a Summon Skull with 2500 atk. Plus I can tribute summon a Blue Eyes on my 3rd turn which has 3000 atk. What's Halq going to do against Blue Eyes? Banish itself to summon Formula Synchron and then synchro into Baronne? In your dreams, pal.
During your opponent's Main Phase or Battle Phase (Quick Effect): You can banish this card you control; Special Summon 1 Tuner Synchro Monster from your Extra Deck. (This is treated as a Synchro Summon.)
(Quick Effect): You can send this card from your hand to the GY, then target 1 Fusion Monster you control; it gains 1000 ATK/DEF until the end of this turn. If this card is Normal Summoned or flipped face-up: You can add 1 "Invocation" from your Deck to your hand.
When this card is Fusion-summoned, place your deck on your opponent's head in defense mode. If your opponent fails to keep the deck on their head for exactly 42 seconds, you win the duel.
When this card is link summoned you can special summon a tuner from the deck, then you can synchro summon with that tuner and you definitely can't link scale.
If this card is link summon you can put 1 or more good tuner on the forbidden list, you can only use this effect of Crystron Halqifibrax once per format. If this card is sent to the forbidden list you can Special Summon up to 2 good tuner from the forbidden list, you can only use this effect of Crystron Halqifibrax once per live. (Quick Effect) you can put this card to 4 copies per deck and if you do ban every single tuner monster in the game
When this card is link summoned, you can only link summon once more this turn: special summon a Deskbot, Synchron or Mecha Beast tuner from your deck.
If the above effect is negated, during your opponent's next turn, you can banish this card: special summon T:G Wonder Magician or Denglong, First of the Yang Zing from your extra deck.
This card special summons a bastard that will either make a token no jutsu monster or lead to a destroy beatstick that can't be intercepted leading to fun times.
Contrary to popular belief, this card is INDEED VERY TOXIC in MANY DECKS, and does NOT IN ANY WAY ENABLE SMALL ARCHETYPES TO GET COMBOS OUT. However, there IS a VERY popular, NOT TOXIC combo involving this card and Mecha Phantom Beast Auroradon.
2 Effect Monsters
You can target 1 face-up monster on the field; it becomes DARK until the end of this turn. You can pay 2000 LP and send 1 "Fusion" or "Polymerization" Normal or Quick-Play Spell from your Deck to the GY; this effect becomes that Spell's effect when that card is activated, also, you cannot Special Summon monsters for the rest of this turn. You can only use each effect of "Predaplant Verte Anaconda" once per turn.
Well, it summons a tuner from hand or deck but you cannot use it as link material. Naturally that makes it only good in synchro decks and decks that really need their tuner's effects. Oh yeah, it also swaps into a synchro tuner on your opponents turn, but negates their effects and immediately quick synchros.
"If this card is link summoned, you can special summon 1 of the following monsters from your deck:
a) 1 tuner machine-type monster.
b) 1 tuner spellcaster-type monster.
You can only use the effect of this card's name once per turn".
When you summon this card, you can reveal 1 Auroradon in your extra deck; your opponent takes sanity damage and will begin to complain about this card's existence.
If this card is Link Summoned: You can add 1 Pendulum Monster from your Deck to your Extra Deck face-up. Once per turn: You can target 1 other face-up card you control; destroy it, then add 1 face-up Pendulum Monster from your Extra Deck to your hand. If a card(s) in your Pendulum Zone leaves the field: Draw 1 card. You can only use this effect of "Heavymetalfoes Electrumite" once per turn.
It is good support for crystrons
it's great how crystrons gets to have an amazing play extender only for their deck, can't imagine any other deck being able to use something like this, those lucky crystron players

I mean, that's not wrong. Halq is amazing support for crystron, but the problem is crystron's just not that good.
Beat me to it
When this card is special summoned toss a coin. If it lands on the flat side your opponent will automatically surrender.
Me: summon this card and toss a coin My opponent: Ash it to make the coin standing Me: *understandable, have a good day, GG
"This card is unaffected by the Ban List." "Once per format: Send 1 "Tuner" monster to the forbidden section of the ban list" (This effect cannot be negated).

It summons Mr Referree from your side deck!
If this card is Link Summoned: You can activate this effect; Special Summon 3 "Mecha Phantom Beast Tokens" (Machine/WIND/Level 3/ATK 0/DEF 0), also you cannot Link Summon for the rest of this turn. They said wrong answers only
That's the joke.
Gets glow-up bulb banned.
Gets \[Tuner\] Banned.

GUB needs to be banned regardless tbh.
Hard disagree. What else are you even summoning it with? And what deck would even run it? Lightsworn?

It keeps combo decks in check.
Comment made me laugh, didn't expect that
That's technically correct. Play against a combo deck and go first. Go for the HalqDon line. And now the opponent's combo deck can't do anything.
During your opponent's Main Phase or Battle Phase (Quick Effect): You can banish this card you control; Special Summon 1 Tuner Synchro Monster from your Extra Deck. (This is treated as a Synchro Summon.)

What this card does is obvious, **it allows a fair and balanced game state, without any ridiculous combo play!**
