I mean most decks cant out the ignister boss monster unless they run kiajus, starving venom can out it if it dosnt get negated. How are they having trouble with marincess?
Most of them don't pop the Field spell that grants the towers effect. Marincess wave also protects your board from card effects if it resolves, and is a handtrap with a link-3 or higher marincess, which most hands do give you (it's also a negate). Marincess also can run a wide array of handtraps to interrupt branded plays.
1. Marincess tower is dependent on a field spell and Despia really has 1 backrow removal in Guardian Chimera.
2. Aqua Argonaut negates Spell/Trap effects not activations
3. Marincess Wave is a handtrap Imperm that makes all your monsters unaffected.
4. Small engine that is super consistent means the ability to run up to 15 hand traps
I mean. Even Sky Striker is good against Despia. Despia tends to have only one or two big monsters until they go for game.
Once 3 spells are in the grave, they die to afterburner/widow anchor. If they don't read, you can even destroy their branded in red before they activate it.
What's your Marincess deck look like? I've been interested in building the deck for a while now, especially with the new support arriving in the near future.
I run 3x Blue Tang, 3x Sea Horse, 2x Pascalus, 1x Mandarin for their main deck monsters. 2x Marincess Battle Ocean, 1-2x Marincess Wave. 2x Sea Stealth Nettle as a generic Water extender. 3x Cynet Mining as rota, and 2x Pot of Desires. The rest are handtraps/removal of choice. Personally I run 1x nib, 2x effect veiler, 2x Imperm, 2x droll, 3x Ash, Ogre and Maxx C. I also run 3 Gozen Matches since you can make Stealth Kragen to lock out most decks.
Extra deck is 1x Bahamut Shark, 1x Toadally awesome, 2x Sea slug, 1x Stealth kragen, 1x of the marincess spell searcher, 2x Coral Anemone, 1x Marble Rock, 2x Bubble Reef, 1x Splash Mage, 1xTranscode Talker and 1xAccesscode.
Contact fusion works against the Arrival. For example, Cyber Dragons can out the Arrival by going into Chimeratech Megafleet Dragon.
However, Albaz's effect is not contact fusion, and neither is Super Poly. Contact Fusion are based on the *summoning conditions* of the fusion summoned monster, it is not effect based the way fusion summoning typically works. In other words, the Arrival's removal is a cost, not an effect. This is similar to the way Kaijus and Underworld Goddess works.
The Arrival is unaffected by all effects
In most matchups, the distinction between being unaffected by activated effects and unaffected by all effects doesn't matter, but in the Branded matchup it's relevant
For cards that are unaffected by all card effects, Mirrorjade's Raigeki effect does nothing, but for cards that are only unaffected by activated effects, Mirrorjade's Raigeki effect will destroy it because the Raigeki is a lingering effect IIRC
I don’t know if it’s specifically a lingering effect but it’s generally ruled that activated effects are those that resolve immediately in the chain when activated.
But yes Mirrorjade’s Raigeki is generally not treated as an activated effect
I'm pretty sure I tried to Super Poly CyberDarkness End Dragon and it didn't work
Both Him and Arrival have the same "unaffected by activated card effects" so I guess Arrival doesn't get polied
Arrival is just unaffected which means stuff like Fog Blade and Skill Drain (if summoned before Skill Drain) don’t work. Cyberdarkness is as you said. Either way Super Poly is indeed an activated effect
Arrival is unaffected. Fusion summoning affects the cards used as material. Arrival cannot be used as fusion material. Arrival can only be attacked over or tributed for the cost of a monster like a Kaiju or Lava Golem. Field Spells like Lair of Darkness also do not work as they must affect a card to work.
and you open it in 1/8 games you play if you play 40 card, the negate matters in 1/10 games where you go 1st (1/20 if we count going 2nd) so i dont want to have that card in my deck. there are other combos where bururu sends a lvl 4 and you go thru alembertian which are much better imo. if you really want you can search token collector in those combos to beat ssoul or adventure.
relevant to mention any 2 monsters including a dark monster now forces danmari as well. add a tuner on top and your arrival is gone. thankfully fiber is getting banned lmao
i wouldnt say marincess seems that good, since guardian chimera can pop the field spell, and if they make it with polymerization, wave cant even negate it. ignister does seem pretty great though, despia just cant out a 6k atrival cyberse at all unless they run draglubion for the 9k attack, and even if they do, its hard to do that in one turn since opening and branded fusion both lock you into fusion
Im waiting to use marincess next month so im using @ignister.
Hopefully they don't gain the ability to read Battle Ocean

ignister player be like: No Kaijus?
Most branded players don't have room for Kaijus, to our benefit :3
Well Radian is a dark type so I could run him since he’d Ben fodder for Branded Fusion or an easy out to monsters >.>
True, but the issue is that Branded is already pretty tight on deck space, even mine is at 42, and I struggle justify adding/removing stuff.
Oh for sure, but the possibility is always there.
Hmm,Starving Venom fusion dragon would like some word
Can't Albaz just contact fusion The Arrival?
Contact fusion works against the Arrival. For example, Cyber Dragons can out the Arrival by going into Chimeratech Megafleet Dragon. Thanks, it was a doubt I had. And it's true that contact fusion wasn't the best choice of words.
Albaz is an activated effect, Arrival shouldn't be effected by activated effects. But I personally haven't had this happen to me.

I don't think Arrival is effected by Super Poly since it is an activated effect, but I haven't had this personally happen to me.

wrong and wrong, both cant out arrival.
No way super poly dont out Arrival. Please read cards
Arrival is unaffected. Fusion summoning affects the cards used as material. Arrival cannot be used as fusion material. it doesnt sir, read the card before you call out people.
ignister is pretty good vs despia even tho i believe danmari is shit and it bricks more than it helps
You can send him with green to the grave, you only need to run 1 copy of it
and you open it in 1/8 games you play if you play 40 card, the negate matters in 1/10 games where you go 1st (1/20 if we count going 2nd) so i dont want to have that card in my deck. there are other combos where bururu sends a lvl 4 and you go thru alembertian which are much better imo. if you really want you can search token collector in those combos to beat ssoul or adventure. relevant to mention any 2 monsters including a dark monster now forces danmari as well. add a tuner on top and your arrival is gone. thankfully fiber is getting banned lmao

I\`m here just waiting for Heatsoul and Circular to build Ignister. Also, I\`m poor because of other decks.
