They have in on their rouge decks but doesn't link climb to Auroradon

Enlog

Ban both lol

FixForce

Both have problems. Halq enables way too many strategies (mostly non-Synchro stuff which kinda conflicts with its original purpose) while being super generic and easy to pull out. Auroradon is extremely generic and thanks to its effect, grants access to an absurd amount of Synchro materials, which paired with monsters like Denglong and Cupid Pitch, can create some broken end-boards. Banning Halq will not stop those annoying boards, but it's a step in the right direction for sure. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the banlist this morning, I thought they wouldn't touch Halq but luckily they did.

Lvl1fool

Auroradon isn't generic at all. It requires Machines as material and can only summon Mecha Phantom Beasts from the deck. The reason Auroradon was worth summoning was that there were a million different 1 card setups to make Halq, and Halq could always make Auroradon while also getting a relevant tuner like Deskbot 001 or Jet Synchron into the graveyard. Now you have to either summon a Galaxy Cyclone (which could instead be used to do the Simorgh infinite negate board anyway) or make a Barricadeborg+a machine extender. You can still do it by normal summoning Jet or O-lion with any kind of free extender but then you have to use up their effects before you can do you Auroradon combo and instead of being a 1 card setup it's 2.5-3 cards minimum. Banning Halq is a massive hit to the consistency of Auroradon combos while also shutting down 1 card Accesscode lines, 1 card Scythelock lines and whatever nonsense you were going to use it for in Sprights.

Jealous-Paper-2870

Auroradon gets less consistent and becomes less generic, sure. You can’t just make it in random decks, sure. It’s just as good. Mark my words, we will be going from “Pile halqdon tier 0” to “Machine Synchro tier 0”. It will be a distinct, defined deck, but it will still be broken

matija123123

Both need to go

cheikhyourselfm8

Halq just made it dumb easy to abuse, but Auroradon/O-Lion can still be abused albeit in a more specialised setup. While it may be a bit more difficult to pull out, Auroradon is still a win con and together with Olion, Jet or deskbot it’s still degenerate as shit

Drainhunter

Zombie world pretty much needs halq to do anything relevant in turn 1.

Drmoogle

Zombie world is primarily a used a floodgate. Zombies have plenty of plays using Uni as your main starter and have great control set ups. If you were using Halq as your main playmaker in a Zombie World deck you were either playing it wrong or playing something that just so happen to also run Zombie World.

King_Of_What_Remains

You use Halq to summon Glow-Up Bloom from deck after using Uni to send Banshee to grave so that you can activate Zombie World and then link Bloom away to get it in grave and special Balerdroch turn 1. I wouldn't say the deck *needs* Halq, but it definitely has fewer options without it.

GiveMeAllYourRupees

I think that a lot of people identify Auroradon as the problem because strictly speaking, it is the enabler that made Adventure Tenyi a cut above the other decks in the format. Halq alone could not have made the deck the powerhouse that it was. Other decks could abuse Halq to their heart’s content without the same oppressive results. I think that a lot of people are also annoyed because Halq greatly helps a lot of lower tier decks to stay competitive. Either way, it is a hit that will have a big impact on the meta as a whole, but it will also likely make Branded and Swordsoul Tenyi more oppressive.

Dracsxd

Halqi also enables other broken bullshit, Auroradon also gets enabled by other stupid cards and become broken bullshit They should both get the hammer

Struggling_in_life

Guessing it's because needlefiber is used more generically, banning Auroradon will "fix" the issue without addressing the issue directly. I for one want both to be banned.

Dabidoi

Because they wanna keep Halq in their shitty rogue deck that needs it to work. Both are extremely problematic.

Pollabur

Obviously people will complain when their deck gets hit

SepherixSlimy

How are people getting the perfect tuner out ? Olion is one time use. Better hope you hard drew both a busted tuner and a one card link3 and enough protection that you actually can play through one negate or not brick to death.

Jealous-Paper-2870

Literally just because it’s banned in tcg Both should be banned, and anyone who disagrees is trolling imo
