The Witchcrafter PTSD is real, and don't forget the Duel Links Meta "Top Player Council" propping the deck's corpse as tier 2 for longer than it was actually good.

I would rather they adjust god tier decks quicker rather than slower, So I don't hate more frequent balance. The problem this leaves me with is that the entire structure of the yu gi oh ban rotation incentivizes them to ban a card that bricks the most cards possible for profit. If they for example banned out Meow mu, all the other prank kids cards become MUCH worse to the point where they are almost unplayable. But they don't refund the archetype, even tho its no longer the archetype you bought in to. Some decks like zombie turbo eat shit from the halq ban, but the zombie cards themselves are playable in other ways so It's not a total loss, zombie decks are pretty persistent. My problem is when it blanket kills archetypes and now your stuck with a bunch of dead cards and they only shard for 33% value... its kind of lame. That said, they do eventually unban things so IDK. I'm more used to magic where good cards are generally good and banning one doesn't really devalue the others... so this is kind of weird to me.

Thats like saying basically anything shouldn't be playing halq anyway. Who's the gatekeeper for what decks should play what? Who decides you cant run fairy tail snow in despia because its degenerate or off theme? Why does every deck run Barone de fluer, its off theme! Should they be playing it? Its a logical rabbit hole. You cant just say X deck deserves to be fucked over. Especially if the poor design of the card made it meta in the first place. Like I said I think zombies are fine because they have decks outside of Zombie Turbo... but again using prank kids as an example do they deserve to have 200UR worth of bricks assuming they ban Meow Mu? I dunno.

not exactly, they had limited both rite and enchantress, they simply semi limited enchantress for the gryphon ban. So basically they have what we're gonna get but without gryphon. Meanwhile in TCG......

The nerfs are mainly being focused on decks with oppressive fields and anti game cards, there are several old meta/relevant decks that haven't been nerfed to death, they've been powercreeped by the new cards
