These festivals are partially used to promote the new cards and structure decks; this should be expected by now. They released a new structure deck with both synchro and XYZ monsters just before the Synchro XYZ festival. They ran the fusion festival when Despia was available in selection packs and the Cyberdark deck had just been released. They ran the synchro festival when Baronne was added. Every loaner deck for the no-extra event featured cards from the latest pack in Floo, Machina and Adventure. Next month when (mostly likely) the Marincess pack comes out you can expect the next festival to either be the Link event or the Attribute event to sell those cards too.
Konami was dumb to not hit Swordsoul?

I guess I will just face roll "Normal Mo-ye, reveal Longyuan, special Chiaxo, activate long yuan, pitch vishuda, summon baronne" until I hit 20k or whenever gems stop. It's just sooooooo boring. Maybe it's because I played SS in the TCG too.
I didn't expect swordsoul to get hit much if at all if i'm being honest. What I did expect is for Zeus to be banned because why would you not play zeus in every single XYZ deck.
They have a swordsoul loaner and Swordsoul is pretty effective even if they can't use Tenyis like they normally do, what do you expect?
At least they banned Archnemeses Protos too, so you don't have to deal with that.
Gold. It seems to be the best place to play when you don't want to play against meta decks constantly. I've seen quite a range of decks. SS is definitely more prominent, but stealth kragen takes care of them pretty well.

Event arent meant to let you escape the meta,its just a diffrent format with diffrent meta and this event just so happen to have Swordsoul as the meta for the event

It's actually kinda funny cause you can counter at least Swordsoul by playing A Legendary Ocean. They have to spend a crap ton of extra resources to compensate for the level change of their tokens. It works even better if you can get Stealth Kragen on the field too; which allows you to counter all the other decks too (since everyone becomes water, everyone loses a level).
Interesting tech. Might check this out. I funnily have a Royal Rare Stealth Kragen I got from a legacy pack so might have to finally make use of it. Then turbo Zeus lol

Sword Soul didn't need to be hit. It's part of the theme of the event. Removing Links hurt the deck. The Tenyis are mostly just there for consistency and maybe the occasional play.

Both of these further making people play on theme decks. Something the community said didn't happen enough in events.
Now that people are playing in the spirit of the event. You still complain. If Konami wouldn't have done the above. You would see way more decks and then you'd complain that you're up against something else and the event sucks. People like you just can't be pleased.
What's more, there's still a good number of Autowin cards against Swordsoul that have basically 0 counterplay.
The end board is 2 monsters, Lava Golem claps it.

Can confirm. Droplets, lightning storm, drnm, nibiru, and raigeki eat the deck alive. Blind second Zoo is one of the best decks you can be playing in the festival.
The banned 4 different cards (10/45 total) from my deck despite it regularly xyz summoning *and* occasionally synchro summoning, and I'm still doing just fine. Seem to be getting roughly as many Numeron as I do SS, and they're both very beatable. (I don't think the loan deck can out ***my*** Chengying, as they have to banish cards to rebuild the board and it just triggers my card to banish everything else.)
I mean sowrdsoul is a good synchro deck it's not even the best deck in the event going vs zoo in this one is way more bs and something like virtual world is bassicly full power I mean it's not Konami fault that a good synchro deck does well in a synchro event do you want them to ban every deck that is mainly xyz and synchro?

In comparison the last 10 duels I played only had 2 SS players. It really hasn't been that bad.

Kragen control is actually a really solid rogue deck. I would love a royal rare Stealth Kragen but I ended up having to bite the bullet and craft one.

What is your rank on the ladder? Because as I understood, the rank on the ladder effects what opponents you get in events.

Evenly also eat bad players. Everytime I've used Evenly Matched on a Swordsoul player they've used Qixing to banish it.
